HTC Pure announcing Caller ID - Touch Diamond2, Pure Themes and Apps

I am using HTC Pure. I used to get Caller names announced when they called me, but after doing hard reset it doesn't work anymore. I forgot how to do this? Can anyone please help me. I tried so many things but just can't remember what I did. Can anyone please help me...
Thanks

Maybe you installed Micro$oft Voice Command, and checked the option 'Incoming calls' in the phone section of the Voice Command Settings.

Thank you for your help.
I got it now, it was the setting in Voice Command.

Voice Dialling

Hi guys
After a hard reset i lost my software "Voice Dialling"
Does anybody knows how to recover/get the software back in my phone??
Pleas help
Irek
Which one Voice Dialling? VITO ???? did u backup your PPC-alldata? if yes ? you can lost only your voice-tag data ? before HR backup your voice tag to STcard
I do not know the name of the program, I did not back it up. It came pre-installed in the device.
I only know when I push the button on the side of the phone the female voice was asking me to say the number I want to dial. And then she would ask is it correct?
That software is now gone and I cant make a voice dialling calls anymore.
Is there any passible way that you could send me this program;
or are the any other way/place where i can get it?
Thank you, Irek

You can order it from www.fonix.com online.

I do have 2 cd's but there is not Fonix on it?
I would like to have it even if it never worked ok on my phone.
All she said was "pleas speak more clearly"
I was never able to diale the number useing my Fonix.
Where can i find it in my cd ? I guess i do not have it at all.

Problem with MS Voice command

I am running MS voice command 1.6.19214 - it installed with an error but at the end said that it was successful. Tried hard resetting and same thing.
Now for the actual problem...
It works most of the time ... but on some occasions the audio through the loudspeaker does not sound after MS voice command has said something until the phone has been restarted. Also sometimes when answering a call it says "call from Someone on Mobile Phone" repeadatly after answering the call (even while I am on the call which is very anoying) until i restart.
Has anyone experienced either of these issues or know how to fix them?
Thanks in advance,
Kris Bennett
I have experienced the same issue as well. From what I have read, Sprint is aware of the issue with Voice Command and will be putting out an updated soon. Sorry I don't have the answer, but at least you know you're not alone.

Speech App for callers

My last phone was a nokia 6210 Navigator. It had a setting that spoke the name of the person calling. I thought it was pretty good as I didnt need to look at my phone to see who was calling me. Is there anything like this for the HD2??

Hey I have got same problem, I tried MS Voice, but its no got, wasted my money.
Ive just tried Microsoft Voice Command 1.6. The voice is naff. All I want it to do is say the callers name, Nothing else. Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 say "Call from xxx at home from Vodafone" or something along those lines, I couldn't quite make all of it out. Its bobar!
voice command hasn't worked properly for a while. once upon a time it used trip announce incoming caller..theres a guy trying to get it working in dev and hacking.check out his thread for more details.
one option is to record the most common callers you have as a voice tag, mp3 or whatever, then assign each one as a ringtone., lot ofwork though..

(Q) If there an app for this?

Ok, I received a call today that when I answered it told me who was calling, they actually some their own name, and if I wanted to accept call press one or if I wanted to send to voice mail press two. I don't have any apps that do that don't know why it did it. But I liked it great for unknown callers, so I'm asking does anyone know of an app that does that. Lets me answer but they have to say who they are and then I can choose to answer or not. Thanks for all help!

That is Google Voice. Its possible they redirected to you on accident. Ive had it happen before.
Oh ok so google voice allows you to screen calls in this manner. Cool might have to look into that. Search here I come!

Why can't I get voicemail working?

I really want to set up visual voicemail with Google Voice. I can't seem to figure it out though. Can anyone post a step by step guide? Right now, when someone calls me after 4 rings they get a message saying the person you has called is unavailable. There isn't even an option to leave a message. I don't know what I did wrong.
On another note, does anyone have any experience with At&t visual voicemail? Is it worth exploring that option over google voice?
This is one feature that I really would love to have on this otherwise perfect phone.
Your plan has to include visual voicemail if it doesn't then it doesn't matter how hard you try you will not get it setup. call And tell them you want visual voicemail and the tech will push the app to your phone and then it'll set up.

go to voice.google.com
settings
phones ->activate voicemail
on your phone:
settings ->call -> voicemail -> set as google voice. it will fail, but just say yes anyways. it should work after that. (it does on my phone)
Thank you. I hope that works. This problem was present even before I updated though.

it's a known "problem" but I haven't had any issues with it other then it "failing" (see attached screenshot) to apply (but still works even with this message)
there are some other threads on this forum regarding this. you might have been able to find them if you had looked (harder).
anyways, since i'm here, i may as well post what worked for me
go to settings, call, additional settings, and set EVERY forwarding number (unanswered, busy, etc) to your google voice number. But **make sure Always Forward is disabled**
cheers
Lol... Just re-read the OP..my bad I thought I read that you wanted att vvm. Sorry. I know I looked like a dumbass..lol disregard my post and carry on.

and you followed the instructions at voice.google.com by typing in that long number that starts with *004*.... ?
and are you having someone test call you to see if it does go to your google voice mailbox? again, your phone will show (after doing all the appropriate steps) that "Voicemail Service: My Carrier" but it will truly get forwarded to google voice... at least it does on my setup.
also, if this doesn't work, have you tried AT&T's version of visual voicemail? it's free with LTE data plan I believe.
Send yourself a voicemail it'll come up on the Google Voice client IF you followed the instructions here.
I've found it's less cumbersome on a pc to set it up.

Finally solved the problem by getting a new google voice number. I guess something was wrong with the old one. Thanks for all your help, folks.
Yep, Google Voice is the ONLY voicemail for Android I would consider.
