Is it possible just to extract Radio ROM from this update?
Or, if you already did it, can you upload it and share with us?
I'm very interested what's new in this radio release.

As I said, I'll be flashing as soon as I finish downloading, I will only be flashing the radio.img and not the rest of the garbage though. If someone doesn't beat me to it, I'll upload the radio.img after extracting it

Run RUU, go to menu start and open "Run" command, type %TEMP%, search there for rom.zip, extract it and take radio.img

i dont know, what the number says, but in the file itself, there is build-date 2010-11-17 in this version and 2010-11-05 in 12.32.60.140e version...
so, by build-date, this is the newer version...

if so it shows 12.32.60.140e can be downgraded lol
i always check the last numbers and this one has been the highest so far so guessing it the latest radio. I to don't know what the numbers stand for?? lol
but it seems decent radio as signal stenght is higher but the switching between 2g to 3g seems strange sometime slow an then can be real quick? but thats ok cause signal better

Best way to update this specific G1

I have a G1 that I would like to update to the latest android, if possible 2.3.3. I have looked it up and there seems to be many ways to do it but they all differ in one way or another. I was wondering what the best way to do this specific one would be. Any help would be appreciated.

if you`re now on CM6.1, yes. just wipe everything before (or try ohsaka superwipe).

Cm6 doesn't need the new radio and spl, but all the new gingerbread Rome require it if u want the speed, without it u will just b lagging all day long, so its recommended that u upgrade,always make a backup, try cm6 on the new combo first to see the huge difference from ur old radio and spl combo

Im already on CM6, im wanting to upgrade to something Gingerbread or at the very least get a Froyo update thats got some speed.

the 2825 / 1.33.0013d is a very good thing for the G1
it will get you and extra 14mb of RAM
you can't simply upgrade to 2.22.28.25 as dw9906 suggests, he keeps forgetting he has a MyTouch 3G v 1.2 and keeps advising G1 uses with info regards his phone

Hi all,
I just got this today from HTC
RUU_Ace_Gingerbread_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.37.707.3_Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2_release_188759_signed
Not sure if any cookers want this to try out this built. I didnt dare flash it as I'm not sure will be able to downgrade (I believe this is 2.37 ???)
I am a complete noob on how to post the file 265MB file but if anyone wants this pls let me know how I can post it up ya.

Please note that you may not be able to downgrade to a lower version after upgrading. The downgrade option on this site only supports till 2.36 so far if my understanding is correct.

Gingerbreak will not work, and it is not downgradeable unless you have Radio S-OFF. You can already see that in the version number.

Nope, Radio S-OFF just allows you to downgrade.

So this is the actual 2.3.7 and yet you can downgrade to older version? Any other improvements apart from the Camera? Does Connected Media works well for streaming? The original 2.2 does not

just put in your sd card root and flash via racovery like any other custom rom.

Hey, this might be stupid, but isn't it just waaaaaay easier to rum gingerbreak (or even flash a SuperUser.zip)? If you'e flashing a ROM and want something close to stock, why not flash LBC mod? What's the need for "Pre-Rooted Stock ROMs" ?

some ppl just want latest stock room with root permission
thats it.
but if u want to use gingerbreak u need to have hboot 0.98.0000 to get root but new stock roms are 0002 and up..basicly u need to downgrade ur new build to old one then root..with this one u can easly flash via recovery...

My Bootloader version is 0.98.0002 i wanna downgrade it to 0.98.0000 for this purpose can i use the pre-rooted rom of yours to get a rooted mobile and then proceed with changing of the version number and flash another rom with 0.98.0000 bootloader.
P.S Already tried to downgrade and ROOT mobile but Gingerbreak is not working for me , I think the exploit is fixed in my version

to be honest i'm not sure do u need to be rooted first to flash .zip's because i personaly never try this roms on non-rooted phone.In theory if u have clockworkmod recovery u can flash .zip files.
Gingerbreak will not work until u get hboot version 0.98.0000

To go back to previous hBoot download and flash as normal. It worked for me. Let me know how you go on for next step.
Before you do anything install HTC sync, boot your phone normal, connect with USB and double click what you just downloaded. Atleast it will give you previous HBoot.

What did you do different I've had this ruu for some time now
I tried again last night all it does is bring up a bootloader error 140 as the hboot cannot be downgraded from 0.98.002

Hi, Install HTC sync from HTC site about 150MB or around , because when you run RUU and software puts your phone to fastboot, it looks for drivers and if the drivers arent there you will get error. Also try Thi version of RUU. One of them should work and put your phone to previous HBoot. After that do complete uninstalltaion of HTC sync and install drivers from Alpharec's site and do the rest. I hope that you are successful.

Stupid question, what are the disadvantages of using a Europe or Asia ROM in Australia? Previously have only flased on the Telstra WWE ROMs since that is what came stock, but want to try the newer Europe 1.47 ROM with newer radio.
I know it will remove the telstra branding, e.g. boot screen and apps. But that's ok cos I actually WANT that. Just wondering the downsides. E.g. will my Australian APNs all disappear? Will the language locale be wrong or something?

When i try to install this ROM, did it flash the HBOOT back to 9000?

can you tell which software version exactly and is this a WWE variant?
I ask because i got a Villeplus as a present from some HTC manager and it had a Firmware on it which was WWE and newer than the Asia RUU that has been floating around for a while, BUT, i forgot to pull a full backup before getting rid of stuff in it. So, now i have a (nearly) full raw partition dump but i am lacking data partition (10GB was too large, aborted pull cuz i thought it was stuck) and i also got rid of some system apps i didn't want, so basically screwed up.
Now i wonder if this is maybe the variant i am after? The 1.14.999.50. 710RD (with all WWE languages) and not 1.14.709.16 which is only Thai/Chinese/English?
Plus, is it already adjusted to run on the Ville or is it screwing the partitioning? Cuz i need one that's ok to run on the Villeplus...

This is based on the one already floating around. So not the wwe version. Come to think of it that's what was on my device before I screwed up my device. If you have a full system dump I can make these for it too. Unless its broken. This is working fine on my villeplus without issue. I tested them both on it
Edit: I'm going to try and get the wwe ruu. Its missing from my site anyways

Asked my manager "Friend" from HTC for it. No reply, no way we're gonna get that RUU unless you got a leak source still.
That RUU would be extremely handy as i want to get Viper running on it and Torxx could need the RUU to check out a few things.
And i am currently trying to find my way through HTC's partition wizzardry blindfolded (total beginner with this). All partitions are at the exact same addresses, the Ville RUU's run on it too but the Mounts are screwed in the flashed Ville RUU afterwards so i have no idea where else to look.
Next thing i'm gonna do is pull a RAW Dump of my Ville and write it over to the Plus without mmcblk0p3 to not risk any serious sh!t (hboot from Ville already been on it and working) and then see if the Partitions are still messed up (maybe clear storage with Ville Stock Recovery helps fixing that then??).

Oh yes it does. It's just not available in my "Native" language (De-de).
Also, since i want to ready that fone for my wife who's speaking french natively i would love to have THAT on it too lol.

If anyone needs the ROM.zip in decrypted state, it can be found in the wwe RUU thread. Just because there's quite a few people not using Linux and hence not able to use ruuveal themselves...

Flashing the wrong Rom. This is only for the HTC One S Special Edition. If you don't have 64GB internal sdcard then this isn't for you

It should flash actually. It can also be that dude uses later TWRP variants which are broken and don't flash stuff. He didn't specify.
There's one guy further up who did flash it to the Ville. It's just screwing up the mounts actually.

Unlikely. There's hardly any devices outside Taiwan. Just a very few. No dev will find that attractive unless one of them has an SE himself.
