I have been using Slide2Unlock on my WM6 Hermes now for a while and have really gotten to like it, so much that I want the iPhone look and feel on my PPC.
I have seen a few around but then seem parts of the full package. Is there one particular one that seems the best all rounder?
I came across this one but haven't tried it yet:-
http://www.ozankilic.com/?p=31
I would like a version that has the iPhone dialler but needs to have the smart dialler functionality so that names come up when I type numbers etc..
I would also like to continue to use Slide2Unlock
Also, I would like the icons on the today screen etc...
Can you please point me in the direction of a good version.
Many Thanks
Mark
Can anyone offer any input into this topic? or pointers to different iPhone themes
Thanks

That looks good but doesn't appear to have the animations etc..
How do you think it compares to http://www.ozankilic.com/?p=31?
have also come across this one but also don't know how it compares to all the others:-

These seems to be so many, is there one particular good allrounder?

Wisbar Desktop
Check out
www.lakeridgesoftware.com
Its a program called wisbar advance and desktop. They are great programs and will let you design your UI any way you like. If you go to the forum and under skins, search for iphone. You will find people who have done plenty of iphone skins and have uploaded them so others can use them.
Right now there is no way for our phones to handle the transitions that they show the iphone do. It take my phone (Hermes) 5 seconds to do a transition that is fade to black. So until Windows Mobile upgrades the way the run graphics we are out of luck.
For transitions, try iTask. There are actually a bunch out there right now;
Grumps' iPhone App (stable, fast, has animation of icons disappearing one after another when opening app, but no longer being developed)
iFonz (active developer, many features, but kinda slow startup, since it is written fully in .NET)
iTask (written completely in flash, if you can deal with that, it has iPhone-style animations and is fast, not much development lately)
In the end, it's all personal preference. From what I remember, Grumps' iPhone App is the lightest and fastest, but least featured (a straightforward launcher). iFonz aims the most to emulate the iPhone exactly, but iTask is pretty similar, and has built-in apps like Satellite.
This thread seems to be advertising in every post...
Ads on xda?
Good lordy, ban that person!
Anyway, I'm a sucker who goes through iPhone envy every now and then. I've actually tried most of the ones mentioned above, spending WAY too much money for the one using wisbar. To be honest, my favorite was iFonz, which, oddly enough, doesn't cost a dime.

Great site, good way to track all the wonderful apps people are creating here
iFonz is free. Why would anyone pay $9.95 for that one?

I tried a lot of iphone lookalike tools, but ifonz is far away from beeing the best!
Maybe its the best for you...
Best iClone
So far, Torx's theme has been the best for me. It allowed me the iPhone look, but WAD/WA3 allowed me to customize it even more to suit my preferences.
That's just my 2 cents, which may not even be worth that.
Hey guys. I've found a few alright ones, but nothing that is really what I want. I need AIM and Gtalk, everything else is a bonus. So far I've used Agile, palringo, octrotalk, and numerous other.
I like how Otrotalk is setup, but it is only for gtalk, and I need aim support. I really like agile, but it is REALLY expensive. Im willing to pay up to $20 if it works and is nice. Let me know what you guys use. thanks.

IM+ from Shape Services. Works great. The landscape support needs a bit of work, at least in the current version, but maybe 2.0 will fix that.
IM+ SmartPhone edition
Have you read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=323654 ?
in addition, as has already been stated, check out the new IM+ beta. Also see the forum links at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1560595 - I've linked in three of them.
which one is best? I don't use twitter a lot, but figured I may start keeping up with some devs with it... So which one is best for Android?
I tend to use LauncherPro Plus and like the Friends Widget.
Depends on what you looking to do. just keep up ? or more full features.
Seesmic <sp> is supposed to tie Twitter/Facebook/ and other social sites together. I have always seen that getting decent reviews..
Site I like to use for reviews is LIFEHACKER. great site and good reviews..
HAHA only place that called ADW Bloat.. But that goes back to beginning of my post and my preference to LP+
BTW no matter which you choose.. Add Lifehacker to your feed I have found some great apps through their Twitter feed
Forgot all about this one...
TweetDeck
yeah i really don't want to tie in all my streams, seems like that would be a little TOO much info..
Just looking for the best stand alone twitter app.
I've tried launcher pro and adw, but i always end up going back stock..
I keep the official app installed along with Tweetcaster and Seesmic. Mostly for quick browsing and posting I use LP+ Friends widget.

I love tweetdeck. Best app imo.

Seesmic for Android does not do Facebook. Only Twitter and Google Buzz.
Just tried TweetDeck again, its now my favorite.

Here is the app I have but would like something better.
zombiesaresexy.com/Zombie_Android_App/App_1/zombiesaresexy.apk
So I started a site called zombiesaresexy.com and have wanted an app for it from day one.
The site is built on Wordpress and I just want a simple app that pulls in the RSS feeds and allows people to read the full post from the app.
I have tried App Inventor for Android but have no luck making heads or tails of it.
If anyone would want to help out (make it and share with me how its done) or just has a good framework for something like this that would be great.
Really, I have seen a lot of people wanting there own App this just pulls in the RSS from there site so I am amazed there is not a framework so people can just plug and play.
But any help would be great!
Thanks!
Ok, is there anyone that would build on for money?
I don't mind paying for it and would nit mind having adds in the app so your could make money that way to.
Send me a pm if you want the job and give me a price.
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
There's already tons of apps that can do this, try one of these.
http://www.appbrain.com/app/buzzbox-news-rss-google-reader/com.buzzbox.mob.android.news
http://www.appbrain.com/app/pulse-news-reader/com.alphonso.pulse
Yeah but I am wanting this app to hand out on my site.
How much you willing to pay?
I dont know the time it would take to do this app.
But if its not to hard I will pay $50
If it is something that will take a lot of time and work We can work on the price.
Also to help me keep the cost down I am willing to have the google ads on it. in hopes that who ever makes the app can make a few bucks that way.
Id be glad to help you for free, XDA isn't about paying for service, its about sharing knowledge and helping users
That would be really cool!!
If you check out the .apk I have linked to, I am ok with it being simple as that.
The only things I rally care about is that it has an icon, the app I have now just uses a slandered android icon
And it reading the full post from the app and linking to the post if they want to comment.
There are a few parts to the site.
Main post
stories
video
questions
But all get pulled in with the rss feed
http://zombiesaresexy.com/feed/
So I am not sure if it is just as easy as pulling in the feeds?
Also, I hope to get this on the Android market but it is just something I want to hand out to readers.

If you want to hire a developer to do it, you're probably looking at $1000 or more in the end. $50 doesn't really cut it.
Yeah I got a few quotes and the range was from $700 to $900.
Not really the money I want to spend just for having fun on a site so I thought I would ask here.
If I dont get any where with it I am ok with that and will looking it to making an app on my own latter down the road when I have time to learn what it takes.
But as you can see someone has offered to make me app. So I am happy with that and even tho he said he did not want money for it I will donate something thing.

Really I will pay if someone will make this! I can get it on the market I just need the app made.
Hoping to keep it low and because of that I know it will not look the best. I just want some thing that works.
Thanks

Thanks, I just did.
I am willing to help too.
I have been working on an rss reader. Do you still need it?
What would you guys recommend as replacements for the cyanogenmod apps to regain the functionality of the Sense versions of Messaging, Camera, and other apps as well? I tried cm9 out, but kept going back to sense because i've been spoiled by the included apps.
So you guys are showing me that you have NO OPINIONS on what are some really good apps to use as replacements for the camera app and messaging app? Come on, now.
There are 9000 SMS apps on the Play Store. Some have very unique features. But none of those features are better or worse than others. They are are just different. It depends on the user. Some people love 1 app and hate another. Other people love the other and hate the 1.
The best thing to do is try out a bunch of different apps and see which ones are best suited to you. You can make it easier by reading the descriptions in the Play Store and see which ones seem like they even have a shot at being good for you.
But I can sit here and say that Go SMS is the best messaging app in the world and rave about how much I love it....and you might try it and hate it with a passion. So I can't tell you what you're going to like. Neither can anyone else.

I hear what you're saying, but i'm really just wanting peoples opinions on apps. From there, I can go on to try them out and choose what's best for me. I think that that'll be easier to do than going onto the playstore and searching through the thousands of similar apps. Oh, and hey, another Marylander!
U can find peoples opinions on apps in the reviews within the play store... no need to ask people on here too

More opinions available on the Play Store than you could ever find here. Plus screen shots. Plus change logs. And on every app you click on there's recommendations for 4 more apps that are similar to that one!
