are there any apps that let me text from my comp via bluetooth - Android Apps and Games

nokia and their s60 has Ovi application and pc suite which can be used to look all files on the phone make calls and view messages and write them on the comp.

Check out RemoteSms. It's awesome and will do what you need. Now if you decide you want to send files over your wireless network between you computer and phone check out Websharing.

Texdro is another app that lets you text in a chat window over wlan
It's free in contrast to remotesms.

Desktop software to send/receive SMS' via cradle/activesync?

I haven't been able to find anything like this.
My old Nokia 6610 used to have software that let me send and receive SMS's when the phone was connected to my PC. I found it to be a very handy tool.
Is there something like this available?.. Maybe via Outlook?...
Obviously the freeware tools get first choice 8)
not a 100% solution but ms have a free program which let you remote control your pda from windows
so using that program you could send sms's
Thanks for the tip.. do you have a link or a name I can search for?

Need some software

Can anyone let me know of a program in which i can use on my pc with my jam connected that will enable me to type text messages on my pc and press send and it will use my phone to send them. Will just make sending long text messages easier and also stop me getting told off by the boss for using my mobile at work lol.
Have a look at Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook
See http://www.jeyo.com/extender.asp
There is a remote control client in the Microsoft power tools if you go here you will be able to download it and control your PPC from your desktop.
If its WM5 there is a program you need to run on the ppc the first time you use it to recognise the new platform.
EDIT: and its free!

Phone Manager

Hey all,
I was wondering if there is any phone manager third party or Microsoft software which we can use to sync windows mobile phones to the computer and like the sony ericsson's third party mobile manager, send text messages, receive text messages to our computer screens for which we can reply using our computer.
The back up's of all text messages, contacts and outlook are also taken care of by the software. If windows mobile phones are compatible with any such software i'd be glad to know about it.
cheers.

Click to collapse
You can use a combination of ActiveSync (for syncing) and MyMobiler (for controlling the device from the PC).
Thanks but does it let us send texts from the computer itself??
Thanks alot!!! this is amazing.. cheers!!!

[Q] is there a txt msg client on PC side.

I would like to send text msg from a PC through my WM cellphone, via USB or bluetooth.
That way, I can use my keyboard, and keep all the msgs are still on my phone.

Yes, there is a extension for Outlook (MS Office Outlook) name Jeyo Mobile Extender, which can do the exact thing you expect.
You can find out more about it here.

TYTN ii Messages

Hi,
I have a TYTNII with windows mobile 5/6 on it and it will not connect to a pc using USB active sync.....I think something is blown on it. I have used a variety of 3rd party apps to try to get my text messages off it (godswmobile ect)but to no avail because of the active sync problem. I cant browse to the my documents folder in explore or anything. Is there any way to get my mms mesages off the phone.....can I transfer them through the sim card or something. I am a total novice on these devices obviously. Where on the windows installation would my mms messages be stored.....MyDocuments or something. I read something here about a .jar file holding these text messages....is that the case.? TIA
