Does anyone know how to add the Dutch language for the keyboard to my HTC Aria? I want to keep the UI in English, only the directonary of the keyboard should be in Dutch.

If you can select Italian from the langage menu of the keyboard settings, it might just work.
However, I tried to get this to work in my german Kaiser and although I could select german, it did not work afterwards.
Anyone knows if it's possible to switch to italian keyboard and xt9 ?

You would need a CAB for the keyboard extracted from a italian device. Then perhaps it will work.

I have the HTC Legend.
I'm dutch and I would love to use an azerty keyboard.
First thing that went on my mind was changing the HTC's keyboard. But didn't found any way on how to do that :s
The second option was changing the HTC_IME.apk that someone posted here on xda. Now, for as far as I can tell it doesn't even contain dutch :s
Then I downloaded better keyboard(with dutch language pack), but even that doesn't have azerty :s
Anyone who can help me out?
The best would be if I could use the HTC keyboard with dutch spell correction.

I recently upgraded from a HTC Magic with android 1.6 to a HTC Legend with 2.1 Eclair and noticed alot of new and upgraded stuff.
The only problem is that i can't use English language in the menus without losing the swedish XT9 dictionary. is it possible to install a swedish one and where can i get it?
i already checked in my phone settings and i can't choose swedish xt9 even when i have set swedish language for the phone menus, but when i have on swedish language the swe xt9 works.. (really strange)

Just upgraded from a Htc magic to a HTC Legend and found something that bothers me..
when i choose english menu language the XT9 dictionary for my sms switches to english too and i can't turn it to my desired language (in this case swedish)
when i check the menu for switching to any other language for my xt9 i can't find any other than english no matter what menu language i use.
But the strange thing is that if i choose swedish menu language, the XT9 also changes to swedish.
so is there any way for me to use english language in the menus and still have the XT9 set to swedish?
i have a non-rooted, non-branded Htc Legend bought at 3-stores in Sweden..
