I've taken the liberty of creating a ~50% shaded status bar as well as a fully transparent one. This has been compiled with Jercik's Smooth Sense icons and Xeudoxus' shaded notifcation background, of which i obviously take no credit for either of those modifications and would also like to thank both of them for their creations. I believe everyone should give them a hearty thank you as well.
EDIT: BIG thanks to yojoe600 for the edited services.jar with no location AND transparent status background. all zips have been updated with it, meaning no more location icon in status bar.
As with anything, do a nandroid just in case something goes wrong.
Anyways, here's a few shots of the bars:

some light bugs:
after installing the zip and booting up for first time, widgets may be doubled over themselves. just remove them and put them back up again, issue is fixed.
when debugging is enabled, upon connecting to pc through usb, weather info on the stock weather widget will disappear. just flick to a different homescreen and back, it will fix.
If any other bugs are found, please post it so i can see if i can fix it.

Well done! Quick question. Is the notification text color white? Example: "charge only" "usb debugging" on going apps etc.
would love to try this, but mediafire isn't letting me download it.
Great job!! Looks great and I experienced none of the "bugs" you mentioned.
mediafire links do not work.

Yea text is still white. I think the text color is handled by a .jar file or xml, which i dont know how to edit yet. But im getting ready to learn java development so hopefully soon i will.
Good to hear you guys arent experiencing the bugs i did.
Thanks!
Links were not working this morning.
Appreciate it!!!
Is it possible to compile this with the smooth sense icons/ round battery indicator? I'd do it myself but I don't know how.
good stuff!

Um... "This has been compiled with Jercik's Smooth Sense icons" or were you referring to something else?
Question
I do not want the batteries and some of the other stuff. Can you tell me which files were edited so I can include them in my own theme? Thanks for the help.
Ps Looks good. Good job.

Cant remember off the top of my head which ones were edited, not at my computer atm but ill let you know when i get on it in a couple hours.
As for adding the super round battery, ill compile that as well when i get home.
the png for status bar editing is statusbar_background.png.
links are up for super circle battery version (green).
Let me know if any of the other colors were desired.
Can you edit this to hide the location notification up top? When i flash this it comes back.

yea, i tried flashing the noloc.zip over this, but the shaded notification background (the background for when you pull down the status bar, not the bar itself) is a services.jar edit which is packed in with this zip. unfortunately the no location mod is also a services.jar edit, meaning one will replace the other when flashed. and i dont know how to edit .jars yet, so i could ask pmf if he'd be willing to show me what he edited in the .jar to remove the icon and see if i could add it in as well. i'll let you know when/if this happens.
until then, if you still want to remove the location icon, you can still flash pmf's zip to get rid of it, youll just possibly lose the shaded notification background at worst. it shouldnt change anything else.

Awesome!
the link to the services.jar only didnt have the no location, so i downloaded the .zip and pulled the services from there.
I installed the zip from the op for shaded smooth sense/super circle green. The battery notification does not show up at all. A blank space where the battery notification would be.
edit: it works when I have the phone plugged in to charge, but once I disconnect the charge the battery icon disappears again.
Hi,
I'm working on a theme for the nigtlies for myself (is going to be released later).
It is based on a GalaS theme with lots of elements of nextheme, some sense stuff, basically a mix of what i like from every theme i once applied for different roms...
My problem:
I'm getting bootloops after i changed the battery png's to cyrcle battery even though same number of pictures....
Does anybody know what i need to do to add the cyrcle battery style to my morph? Do i need another xml file which basically tells the ui that now it is a cycle battery?
Any help is appreciated..
i'm kind of lost here...
You should make sure you are saving them with the exact name of the stock icon files. They need to be a png 32 file with a transparent bg. Also make sure the name of the theme zip file is the same as your xml file.
As long as its the same number of files with the same name you should be good. Search in the morph sticky at the top of the forum and tear a couple of battery morphs apart and compare.
Well i tried that, no luck so far. Gonna compare some battery morphs later on.

Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Could someone make the stock sense green battery without the % numbers.
I tried myself with editing the files and a metamorph to no avail. Tried manually putting them into the framework and flashing and still nothing.

+1 to this. I know it requires more than the usual drag and drop. I believe I recently read that it requires editing some XML files or something past my knowledge base, so far.
Same here, looking for a circle battery icon without %. The UOT kitchen is not working for me
+1 for this.
I have done it before, but it has been a long time and I dont remember what all needs edited. I know there are two xml's in the drawable folder, but I think there is also a smali file or something that needs edited. Anyway, if somebody could tell me how to add the 1% battery icon mod to my current framework I would appreciate it.
Thanks!!
I found a thread here on XDA that has a collection of literally every battery mod/icon out there. The link is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2280597
I found a really sweet red skull that I liked a lot, screenshot below. It includes 1% battery increments as well as 1% charging increments. The only problem I ran into is that these icons were made primarily for samsung galaxy roms. The image directories/names are a little different and just have to be renamed in order for use. Really, all you have to do is remove the "tw_" right before the "stat_sys_batt" for every image. It's a pretty cool place to find some really unique battery icons. If anyone has a request for an icon they would like, I can gladly mod a systemUI.apk for your ROM as long as the icon pack exists. I use apkmulti-tool to decompile and recompile all of the apk files if anyone would me to explain how to use it since it took me forever to learn on my own.
