Im wondering if there are any home button film protectors available since my SGS is already protected by an SGP silke case and screen protector only the home button is vulnerable and i see a very light scuff mark on it..

Because i found a really cheap screen protector I purchased it.
One the first layer(right on top of the actual screen) I have a screen protector called invisible shield.(its known to be a very good screen guard and its expensive) the screen protector is squishy and thick.
And on the second layer, I have the cheaper screen protector called clear screen protector. Its thin and solid plastic.
Would having two layer of screen protector be more affective protecting the screen from cracking when dropped?

I would say the added screen protector is adding marginal protection at best. Even the first screen protector isn't adding all that much protection against a fall that would impact the screen. The best protection you'll get for the screen a case that raises the edges so that if you were to drop the phone face down, the case would absorb the shock. The screen protectors will do nothing against such a fall.

mhmmm i see. thank you so much for responding
..
i think it would make the screen twice as thick and it wouldn't adhere to the screen, you'd be better off getting either a tempered glass or matte screen protector
..
id still go with the screen protector not just a new front screen
Yeah just go with the tempered glass protector. There is no purpose to buying another screen and adding it on top of another one. Your screen sensitivity might drop as well if you were to do that.
I bought an iloome screenmate tempered glass protector back in January I believe and it's still holding up awesomely. Still fully adhered. No scratches. Fits perfectly. :good:

Hello gang,
Recently got a S4 after my N4 crapped out on me, liking it so far. I purchased it for cheap because there was a small glass crack right below the home capacitive button, and some scratches on the bezel. Now any case completely covers the bezel scratching but I've been looking for a case that sort of encompasses the home button, to the point where you can't see below the home button.
Does a case like that exist? I tried an Otterbox and it didn't cover it even with it's inward curves. Looking for a case that goes AROUND the home button but doesn't interfere with the two soft buttons.
I've attached a crude paint outline if you don't quite get it. Sorry, I'm a bit tipsy.
Thanks!

http : //store.phantom.glass/samsung-galaxy-s4-glass-screen-protector/dp/8 This covers the capacitive buttons.
The home butto is not capacitive by the way.
Lifeproof cases cover the home button.
Has anyone put a tempered glass screen protector on this phone yet? I had one on my S4, but it also came with an aluminum button to stick on top of the existing home button so that the button was still flush with the screen. Clearly, you can't do that with the fingerprint reader. Does putting a tempered glass screen on this phone make the home button too low? Or does it's slightly raised position make it work out ok?
I have a tempered glass protector on my. The button is almost flush with the protector but just a tad lower. fingerprint scanner still works fine
I've tried a couple of tempered glass screen protectors so far (supershieldz and dmax) and both of them leave a few mm glass on all sides. This couples with the ringke case leaves a gap for dust to collect.
I was wondering this this phone has a flat screen, not curved at the edges, would there be a way to get a screen protector that completely covers it right to the edge or with a very small gap(<1mm).
Does anyone know of a glass protector like that which will cover 100% of the front face?
Thanks
@intelliARMOR have said they are making one in the next month once they get their first batch of more case friendly screens out.
