HTC TianXi,the First HTC WinMo for China & the Final HTC WinMo for World - General Topics

I dunno whether u've know the new HTC phone,HTC 天玺(pinyin:tian xi)
It's been shown for a while on the new HTC site for Mainland China since HTC entered the Chinese market on July 27,2010.(not on sale yet)
http://www.htc.com/cn/product/tianxi/overview.html
I guess it's probably the final HTC WinMo phone.

I think it's much better than HD mini but a little worse than HD2..
Overall.it's not bad.but I won't buy it.because of the hit of WP7 and the lack of money
So.How do you think of it?

Thanks for the pics, there is already another old thread with this info
it´s the Chinese Leo with some minor differences

oh.it's been posted.
I just neglected the most important info.
the processor is 800Mhz only.
so that's why it is worse than Leo.
But 800Mhz is still good enough.

By the way it's a fact it's not the last WinMo HTC deviice as HTC already have plans for realeasing winmo 7 devices thought i'd mention

I treat WM6.5 & WP7 as two different phones.there's no WinMo 7 but WinPhone 7
so it may be the last HTC WinMo device. But obviously it's not the last HTC phone.

MDA 4

http://www.msmobiles.com/news.php/2823.html
T-Mobile MDA IV alias XDA 4 : processor XScale 624 MHz, UMTS (3G) + 4-band GSM, VGA display (not 320x240 as before but 640x480 as in current top models of non-phone Pocket PC devices), release date: first half of 2005.
would like to see a picture to see how they handled the being able to rotate the camera or if they have 2 cameras so you can make video phoning
LOL
That has been there even before the MDA III shipped
I dont think that the info there is accurate, but we'll see
Whatt????
t-mobile germany has made today a pressrelease:
both links are german but three photos
http://www.t-mobile.de/presse/ipk/mdaiv/1,8228,11677-_,00.html
http://www.pocketland.de/shownews.php?news_id=664
so, no 624MHz instead 520 ....
but the rest sounds interesting!
You can visit this site to see the new device.

wow, that was fast! I did not expect an MDA 4 photo out so soon!
Hi one and all,
It's a nice pic of the unit, but it looks like hybrid of the Sony clie PEG-UX50 and a Danger Hiptop Sidekick. Since I have gotten used to my MDA III, I would'nt want to upgrade to PDA phone with something slightly bulkier and a unit that might not be that durable with all the swivels and hindges over a constant peroid of use. They should keep it pocket size, yet powerful with a faster processor and of course more memory and the most important thing...... Better and stable Bluetooth, Wifi and cell Radio. Anybody want to add to this? Cheers!
Shane
I just read about this. Wow factor aside, I don't think I shall be changing from my Magician any time soon. That thing has to be huge.
only 1 company yet here who offer utms
and thats 3 and their cover is poor when it comes to
utms and most people seem to spend most their time
on gsm
if i were to get a new device then i would get it to get utms mainly to get
faster internet since gprs is too slow for my patience

Apologies if this has been posted before, but I think this is the first phone with hardware which supports both Android and Windows Mobile. Unfortunately, dual-booting is not an option, but the hardware can run either OS. Specs include a 624Mhz processor (unspecified), 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM.
More information here. (translated from simplified Chinese)

Thanks for the news mate
Do you have one?
Can you post more details?
How much $
And full specs plese
Shie Shie
Here's a bit more information on the i6. it is made by a Chinese company called (I think) QiGi (in Chinese it is written "琦基").
Marvell Monahan CPU 624MHz
2.8" QVGA Screen 65K colours
2MP camera
GSM/GPRS/EDGE
BT 2.0/A2DP/WiFi
Mini USB 2.0
GPS/SiRF Star III
109.5 × 58 × 14.9mm
1250mAh battery
OCR/business card recognition
automatic screen rotation
gesture control
the Windows Mobile version allegedly has some kind of TF3D type interface
No word on pricing I'm afraid although some of the news sources claim it is going to be cheap as it is not a 3G/3.5G phone.
Edit: I just wanted to add that the press release was yesterday, so I've not actually seen the phone in the flesh, just what I read about on the web! FWIW I think it actually looks really good and the ability to load either Android or WM onto it is very appealing.

Real pics
Potential competitor for HTC Touch Pro 2.
I'm wondering why I was even thinking of the TP2, with such a slow CPU. The only reason I can think of now is the tilting screen. At least this louvre (how is it pronounced?) has a center button, maybe a rocker pad! My omnia has pretty good support, so I guess this will, also
Real announcement today
From GSM Arena

- CPU was "only" 667Mhz w/ ARM1176 (and not 800Mhz as rumored)
- RAM a meager 135MB (boo-hoo)
- ROM 1GB (as it should be!)
- future upgrade to WM 6.5
The RAM alone kills this for me. Not a real competitor for TP2.
What a bummer. All of those great specs and then only 138 RAM? I dont really even care about ROM Space. Id rather have 1GB RAM and 138mb ROM and just put all programs/applications on SD instead.
still, all the gsm news sites announce this with 800mhz proc and 256 ram.
you're shore about 667 and 138 mb ram?
Im not sure, but im very interested in this phone. I have heard (not sure where, but somewhere on web) that they upped the RAM.

You know, I've been following the B7610 quite closely for the past few months, and this is something that gets me. Some sites list 138RAM, but many others also list 256MB.
Considering the company in question (Samsung), the rest of the phone's specs, and that it's a WinMo phone, I'm inclined to think the RAM is 256MB. If nothing else, I know for a fact that the CPU is 800Mhz because the B7610 uses the same CPU as the i8000 (Samsung S3C6410).
Anyway, I am very excited about this phone. Great specs and great design. The only flaw I can see is the lack of a hard four center buttons, but meh, it's not that big of a deal, I suppose.
Some UK stockists expect delivery the end of August. £400
