App that can record battery status - Nexus One Themes and Apps

I need an app which can record battery status against time and also tell me what has caused the drain at a particular point of time. Is there any ? Please advise.
I need that as I am facing a weird issue where my battery drains till 60 normally and after that it suddenly falls to 30 and from then again it goes on normally . It happened twice and I am worried about what is causing this ..... any idea ?

Battery Graph will display battery usage but as far as i'm aware it won't tell you what app etc...
I think there is one called Juice Plotter although I'm not sure how much more information that will give.
The stock Battery Usage thing in the Settings/Status will help with what percentage of the battery has been used up until that point. e.g. if you are on 60% then it will display a percentage of that 40% that app has used.
e.g. 25% (screen), 10% (cell standby) etc etc!

Battery Drainage App??

hey everyone,
does anyone know if there is an app out there that will log the percentage of your battery, what time that % occurred, and maybe even how time between readings (like x minutes past from 90% to 80%)?
i am having some drainage issues and don't know where it is coming from. spare parts isn't that useful. it's probably some of my widgets, but i am seeing some usual drain recently with very little usage from my phone.
thanks!

thanks. i will check this out. i have been having strange drain. one night, my phone my phone drained hard and was pretty warm for it doing nothing. another night, it would drain only a few percent.
That app will do just what you want.

battery usage normal?

When in standbye overnights my phone goes from 60-70% to totally flat, I use battery monitor and I notice the phone use -100 till -200 Ma while I don't have any sync going on?
Somebod else with monitor app please give me our numbers
I have noticed tha cpu works (without any app loaded) about 35% -45% with no reason...that eats battery !!! any other have noticed that ?
I can make a video to proove that !!! Maybe with 2.3 the resoults will be better
I will give you my experiments:
First night(GMT+3 timing):
from (2-3)am: Wireless on, battery percentage still 19%
from (3am-4pm) wireless of, battery percentage is still 19% !!
Second night:
from (9am-5pm) battery percentage was 99%, when I wake up there were two missed calls and the battery percentage was 90% !!
Third night(Last night):
from (9am-6pm) battery percentage was 70%, when I wake up there were one message and the battery percentage was still 70% !!
* It is not nights, these days I actually sleep in the morning, and the timing doesn't mean I sleep all that, but before going to sleep I use my laptob.
I had the same issue in the first few days. I dont know if you installed some apps, but after I deactivated "green power" (for saving battery life) the battery lasts very long in standby mode.
so deinstall apps which say they would save battery and close all apps (browser etc.) before you sleep.
I dont know if the app was responsible for that or just the battery which needs a few days to generate 100% power.
Had mine for 2 weeks now, battery lasts 10 hours from 100% to dead, same as my Desire did.

Battery monitoring and optimizing apps did suck most of the juice out of my battery. Deleted all,my battery easily makes 12 hours now

I don't have any numbers but my phone goes from 100% to around 93% to 95% overnight depending on how many emails I receive while it's in standby.
About the same as my old Galaxy S.

That sounds great!
My Galaxy S2 would lose 30-40% overnight with a few emails...
I can't wait till I get my O3D.

[Q] Battery health test: Do I need a new battery?

I have had quite bad battery drain issues for a while, and searched BBS dump files and forums for an answer, but the logs appear normal with no unusual wakelocks. In short, the battery consumption profile is OK but it just goes too fast. So I concluded I needed a new battery and was too cheap to buy Samsung original battery and instead got a noname type (same capacity, 1500 mAh).
But it didn't help. Still 12-16 hr standby with low use (<1 hr screen time at lowest brightness).
So I tested the health of the two batteries by draining them as fast as possible. I used the app "Battery Drain" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fuzzyoneapps.BatteryDrain) and drained using full screen brigtness, wifi, bluetooth, gps, CPU but NOT the vibrate function.
The results are attached to this post. As observed, there's no big difference between the two batteries. And I don't know what to expect.
So now I'd like someone else to do the same test so that we can compare the results
Basically, just 1) Run the app with all the settings turned on except vibrate, 2) make note of battery percentage, 3) leave it for exactly one hour, and 4) check percentage again. Is ~45% per hour normal for the nexus s?
Thanks in advance

Battery percentage fluctuation

Hi everyone,
So i noticed that sometimes my battery percentage will drop 2% at a time for example, its 80% and then suddenly 78% ?
Also one time it increased 1%, i thought i might be imagining stuff however i verified it in the battery chart ?
That battery drainage seems good and am getting anywhere from 4.5 sot to 6+ sot(if the mra bug doesnt hit which it usually does)
* i noticed that sometimes if i turn off the wifi from the drop down quick shortcut, then i check the wifi from the main settings i will find its still ON ! Again i also verified it will stay on from the battery chart if i dont turn it off manually from the main settings, so beware.
Hopefully sony will do thier homework with android M
As far as I'm aware Battery percentage is a calculation depending on the status of your phone. So it's not 100% accurate and can fluctuate

This happened to me too! I left the battery runs out completely and so far has not happened again! I'm noticing that this android is sucking the battery very fast, as well as in the Z2 and Sony fixed. But I think that Sony will not correct this in order to be out a new android.
my xperia z2 battery percentage is fluctuating from 100% to 39% then again it rises to 70% plz help me out in solving this problem

Battery Drain

Hi Guys,
I purchased my Note 10 a month ago. Since I purchased, I am experiencing heavy battery drain at night. Almost 40-50% juice is consumed. I am keeping wifi, mobile network, blutooth and sync off.
Is there any problem with my mobile?
Thanks in advance.
Shaggy
40% standby drain is definitely abnormal, most likely due to a rogue app consuming battery in the background. Install GSam Battery Monitor, run the following adb command to enable a detailed list of battery usage:
adb shell pm grant com.gsamlabs.bbm android.permission.BATTERY_STATS
and see what is consuming battery in the background.

Hi,
Thanks for help. I did found one app which was consuming battery. After disabling it, the power consumption reduced to nearly 25%. Is this normal now? I got 22 hours of battery life yesterday. Attached is the screen shot of battery drain pattern.
25% drain overnight is still way too much, and even though Google Play Services was active for 7.5 hours, it doesn't drain a lot of battery. My overnight drain is ~3%. You still have something consuming a lot of battery in the background. I don't use WhatsApp, so I don't know how much battery it typically uses. But something is definitely not right. If you can't pinpoint what is using so much battery, then do a factory reset and install GSam Battery Monitor but nothing else. Use the phone stock (without any additional apps) for a couple of days and see what your baseline battery drain is. Then install your regular apps one at a time and see how each one affects battery drain. You'll be able to identify which app is causing the problem.

Hi Sublimaze,
I found some more apps which were running in background for no reason. Now the battery drain at night is near to 5% only. I can blame fluctuating network signal in my area for this.
Thanks,
Shaggy
