im looking for a windows mobile phone for around £100
only thing's i really want is wifi and qwerty keyboard on it.
any idea's???
all help and input welcome
You wouldn't get one brand new for that kind of money, but you may be lucky enough to get a second hand one from ebay or something.
The HTC Touch Pro 2 seem to go for about £150 on ebay, so you should get the HTC Touch Pro for about £100 > £110.
The mWg Zinc II (I think...) may be quite cheap this way.
Note that I haven't had any of the above mentioned handsets so I don't know if they're any good - they're just the ones with wifi and qwerty keyboards that I can think off which would be about that price range.
I suppose it depends on what you're hoping to do with it - If the qwerty keyboard isn't an absolute necessity, you may even get a HTC TouchHD (Blackstone) for about £100.
Good luck!

I cannot afford these outrageous prices! Plus, it's not readily available in the US. Anybody have a used or know where I can find a refurbished unit? I've been trying to do my research and am finding discrepancies all over the place: Pocket PC Phone Edition vs XDA II vs MDA II vs QTEK2020 vs Himalaya, etc. I'd even be interested in a used XDA I for a much lesser price.
check your PM...
I've got an XDA I for sale now that I bought a II. I picked up my XDA II on eBay in the US for $605, near-new. Luckily for me, nobody here seems to know what they are and few people bid on it.
If you're interested in my old one, let me know. The case has the usual paint peeling, but it's perfectly functional and the screen is 100% mint (always had a PPC Techs protector, included). It has always lived in an EB leather case, also included. Got a few spares like an extra headset and probably some other stuff, need to go through my stash.
ive also got an xda ii for sale second hand all works fine but blocked over here in the uk would ship to us if buyer pays shipping cost full boxed as new even got tomtom 3 navigator installed on it but you would need us maps and a gps unit n e body isnterested make me a reansonable offer remember the xda ii phone will not work in the uk i have tried and tried to get it unblocked but found out som ebody i brought if from sold it then reported it lost so they claimed for a new one and the one i had of them the network operator block so i was well ripped off so thats the reason ive putting it up for sale any body intrested in this pm me and make an offer
Hey guys, what's the absolute cheapest pocket pc phone that has touchscreen. I am looking for the cheapest possible thing. I want this to be a present for my little brother for Christmas but don't have much money at all. Preferably a used, unlocked phone or something that can easily be unlocked. Thanks.
you can get some of the older ones on ebay for a relatively reasonable price. Some of then even come unlocked, courtesy of the great people here.
Personally, i would get him a Wizard or an Artemis, but those might be slightly out of price range.
Cheapest Pocket Phone
Re question from Johnny13oi I have an Orange SPV M500 which I am selling due to upgrading recently to the M700. Phone is about 18 months old and is in perfect working order. It is a pocket pc with touch screen and has mobile 2003 OS. It comes with carrycase, car charger, USB lead, and car holder. I would sell it to you for £40 + postage if that is of interest.
Hello,
i have an htc diamond, iam looking for a better phone with a bigger screen and/or a hardware keyboard,if there someone here which can sell me,or trade with my diamond + money, iam ok...
Spent ages deliberating, wondering if anyone could swing my decision.
Wildfire S is a little cheaper (found it as low as £140 odd new), full touchscreen but's a bit slower.
Cha Cha's keyboard is a plus but wary of the landscape screen after x10 mini pro. I do like the chin thing it's got going on.
Any experiences? What's the best (uk payg) price you guys have got?
Answer yourself a question:
Am I prefere big screen without keyboard, or smaller with qwerty like BB.
Don't compare chacha to x10 mini pro. X10 is tragic phone, with only android 2.1 and a big and rubish integration in OS from SE.
About price in UK... go to Carphone Warehouse.
Okay, so I bought a sidekick 4g on ebay for $26. Only like a small portion of the touch screen worked. So I bought a touch screen digitizer on ebay for $19 and replaced it for myself. The thing is the buyer didn't list in the description that the IMEI was blocked, which means that I won't be able to register to any networks at all. So basically this was a media player to me. Then I listed it on ebay for $95, thinking nobody would buy it. But it turns out somebody did buy it which shocked me cause who would wanna buy a $96 media player? But, right now I'm kind of hesitant whether I should sell this or not, cause this is the only phone/media player I have, and I really seem to like this phone now, it's decent. I LOVE the keyboard. So my question to you is, Is this a good deal for me? And if there any other phones out there I can get for the price that I sold this phone for? MAybe around 100 bucks?
Eh, for a little more than 100 and some searching, you might be able to get your hands on a decent g2.
I returned a G2 to switch to the SK4G. There is no better phone on the market for me (read: no better keyboard). For a media-player though, I'd think touch-screen would be fine, so just get the fastest Android you can find. Ton's of sub $100 options on eBay.
Ugh. I can't find any good cheap phones. Anyone wanna thrw out any names?
