[REQUEST] Unique Concentric Ring Clock / Calendar - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

This unique clock calendar would be look sweet on the GTX skin. However not being a coder, I have no idea where to start. Anyone care to give it a shot?

This would look fantastic on any desktop. wish I was a coder too.

it would be simple to take that image and make it into a clock but I dont think theres any way of making the calendar actually work....
it would be purely aesthetic....
theres also the issue of the person who created it...
I wouldn't really be comfortable using it without permission....
I dont think you would be able to get the digital clock inside the circle either.....

As I am a fan of conventional watch gears, I was wondering how to replicate this effect on the Sense Clock. Thus I had the idea of concentric rings. As with all ideas, I googled to see what was out and lo and behold I found something similar.
Due to limited space on our devices the clock should only consist of 3 rings
Inner Ring - Hours 24 segments. (12 in white, 12 in black for AM/PM)
Middle Ring - Minutes 60 segments
Outer Ring - Seconds 60 segments
The time would be shown @ the 3'Oclock position so we could read the time conventionally.
For increased visual appeal, the 3 rings could be programmed to move in opposite directions. E.G Hours move CCW (counter clockwise), minutes move CW and seconds move CCW.

For the digital clock look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7503150&postcount=267.
The calendar isn't really different from the calendar rings in my clocks.
But for the permission I see it in the same way.
@slimbrown
You are right. The clock is too big for the HD2.

WOW! Id never seen that before.......
Ive never been so happy to be proved wrong........
Nice one man.........

Permission granted. Basic Design would be something similar to this:
Inner Ring (BLUE) - Hours 24 segments. (12 in white, 12 in black for AM/PM).
Middle Ring (GREEN) - Minutes 60 segments
Outer Ring (RED)- Seconds 60 segments
Time Display Box (Black)- Displays Time. Most likely in Larger Font than on the wheel to make it easier to read.

That's a very nice clock...can we dl the cab somewhere?

Hey Slim,
First of all thanks for your pm and Im glad youve got permission to use the image......
Unfortunately I dont think I can help you with this project.....
Until I came upon this thread I had no idea it would be possible to make the clock function in the way that you describe......
Something like this is far beyond me Im afraid.......
Perhaps rat_2665 might be able to help or point you in the direction of somebody who can........
If you do get a working version I'll be happy to beta test though
I could always put together some alternative skins for it as well.......
I hope you do manage to get this off the ground and If I come across anybody that I think might be able to help you I'll send them this way......
Best of luck........

You have to ask mncessna. He posted only some of his files, so send him a PM.

Make it more like the original clock, the display in the centre and the present values marked by a line (at 12 or 3 position). For the scripts and the mode9 file the files by mncessna can be used. But I would advice against too colorful picture. Make instead a black/white version for day and a lumen version for night. You have to do three pictures (6 for day/night) for the "hands", which are really 256x256 pixel pictures with transparent background and the 24/60/60 in the start position (red line in the original clock). The centre with time and date can be transparent. For the scripts and the mode9 file I can help.

somebody give me an update on this?
i'd like to create this clock. is that ok?
i've attached a picture of a clock i made of concentric rings. it's an appealing picture to watch....for some reason, i enjoy watching the wheels turn...by the way, the cover for this clock has a rectangular opening on the right side. it has rounded corners. this is where the current time is displayed. i intended to make the cover only 10% transparent, just enough to let the wheels moving behind it show up a little....sort of add to the mystique of it. but i made it 100% transparent for now so i could debug it. i think i like it this way
i've also posted a clock of concentric circles i made. it's a neat one too. it has a weekday function, a moving second hand ball, ampm indicator, and 2 green balls surrounding the current hour. the current minute is indicated by a small blue ball.
SlimBrown asked me to help him with this clock. i told him i'd like to do that.
so, is it ok to proceed? i've sort of been working on it already but thought i'd better ask before doing to much more.

yeah, that's a "feature" of the lua script that drives all the motion and text displays.
every second, the seconds wheel is rotated and the minutes wheel is rotated.
there is a "calendar" function that gets called routinely, but not every second, that updates the time text.
i wanted the snapshot to be with the second hand at the top centered position. i should've waited until the calendar function had updated the time text.
my bad

[WIP] Need help editing lock screen

View attachment 327790Please note:
- This is NOT my idea. This has been mentioned before in other sections of these forums AND has been seen on other devices (the oPhone I believe?)
- This is NOT solely my code. Although most of the code for this app is my own, I used bits and pieces from a simple drag and drop demo. I DO NOT take credit for all of the (sloppy) code in this test app.
This is a proof of concept apk to show an idea I would eventually like to turn into an actual lock screen. For now this is an app that simply runs like any other app. It does not replace the android lock screen and does not attempt to be a lock screen in any way.
The concept is simple, and, to some, familiar. There is a floating ring. The user drags the floating ring to the designated area to unlock (in this case close the app).
Here are a few screen shots, although it doesn't look like much in a still image.

The apk file is attached. I encourage anyone interested to install the app and give feedback. If you are going to install the app please note that the code is not final.
The reason this was posted in the development section is because I want to turn this (or something like it) into an actual lock screen replacement. I'm new to coding android apps though so I'm looking for someone who can help me improve on the interface and/or point me in the right direction to making a lock screen. Devs if you believe this was posted in the wrong section please move.
All help and feedback is welcome and greatly appreciated.
Just tried this one. Really nice concept, but it's moving a bit to fast in my opinion
I also get often FC's
tried it!! looks cool, needs to float a little slower though, it wud look smoother, thats just my opinion! overall a really gud concept!

Yeah it seemed to be force closing every other time you open. Fixed now. Shouldn't be any FC's at all.

Thanks I'll go ahead and slow it down a little.
Customizable background would be sweet too
I admire your effort! I agree it has to be a little slower, and IMO it would be the hottest lockscreen ever if there was no background... just a completely transparent lockscreen with a ring floating over your home screen.
I hope to see your idea come into fruition
Sorry about the force closing I know it's annoying. I'm not really sure how to handle it or why it's happening yet. But I slowed the floating down a bit and I'm going to set the background as the system wallpaper soon. Thanks for the feedback
i really like this idea!
This is really neat. I liked Lockbot because of the slide to unlock, but it was just too sloppy and laggy. Better put, the Nexus lockscreen slide is AMAZING to me. I love it MUCH more than pressing Menu twice to unlock.
I hope this evolves. =]
nice idea, my suggestions:
1. make it when you flick the ring for no reason, it actually flies to the direction of the flick (kind of like those air hockey games)
2. when you successfully match the ring to the unlock "ring" make an animation where it glows or shrinks like the ring fell into something. at least SOME sort of animation
3. make the ring physics based, as well as letting the accelerometer effect it.
4.allow user to place the "Ghost" ring anywhere they choose on 1st launch.
5. backgrounds like they said/or transparency
6. have the ring glow/light up/enlarge or something as you grab it.
well these are all ideas to make this a beast of a lockscreen, you can choose what you want. but with all these added, there'll be no shortcommings. good luck with the lockscreen!
This is an amazing idea!!!

Thanks for all the ideas. Although I'm still getting familiar with the android apis, all of these should be fairly easy to implement.
That's the least of my concerns right now though... the tricky part is making this a lock screen. I don't want to make an app like Lock 2.0 for a lock screen. I want to edit the actual android like screen, similar to what stericson did. Right now it looks like I'm in over my head but I'm doing some research and trying to ask around a little. If anyone has any info that could help me out please share. I'm really setting my sights on getting this up and running.
any updates on this?

I agree with all of the above and def make the background so that we can choose if we want it set as a pic, wallpaper, or transperent
with these changes, this lock screen would def be amazing!!
with all this implemented, with would be even better then flashing a new Rom
I have no development/coding experience, so all I can do is give feedback on it. but good luck and let me know if you need me to do any testing
huh, i kind of surprised of the lack of activity here
I'm working on it... slowly but surely
maybe u should change the title of the thread to something more appealing, kind of like what you first had.
Do you know OMS OS?Do you know Ophone?
OMS is an android based OS made by China Mobile, and lock screen on OMS is just like yours.XD

[CAB] B&W % Circular Battery Icon

First of all thanks to Fightspit from the Android section of the forums for the original icons and smaberg for the use of his % CAB.
This is the second revision of this CAB as I wanted to make the battery icons larger and remove grey segments. They're only slightly larger after all my retouching/cropping/resizing lol but I can live with them now .

Even though the icons have been retouched, on anything but a black taskbar, artifacts may be noticed. As the original icons had some sort of shadow effect, which I couldn't clean without having an adverse affect on the shape of the segments.
Install 'SdkCerts.CAB' first (if you don't already have it installed) and then soft reset.
Then install the '% Circular Battery Mod.CAB' to device memory and then soft reset. CAB is uninstallable.
The CAB works on ROM 1.66, I don't know if it'll work on anything else.
I've also uploaded the original icon set, so if anyone wants to mod further, feel free .
Update: added V2 CAB (grey segments not removed in this CAB)
Another Update: Thanks to TheLynxy for the super smooth icons. Due to the excellent design and clarity of this set, these icons will look good regardless of the colour of your taskbar (no artifacts). V3 CAB added.
My personal favorite is still the first set and they took the longest to do
Update: added V4 CAB - all original icons done by me , colour taskbar friendly (no artifacts).
Another Update : BT&Headset.zip uploaded. In my quest to improve the quality of the stock icons, I've uploaded some improved BT+Headset icons. Just extract then copy them into the Windows directory with Resco Explorer or Total Commander.
Yet another update. V5 uploaded, 6.5.X friendly. (thanks to MykeChester for the screen )
I would also like this. =)

Update: I've found the icons I need (in fact I've found two styles), to be fair I still don't know who originally created them as everyone I messaged said they didn't make them .
It's just a long job of resizing them all and then hopefully someone will give me a hand (hint, hint ) putting the new files into something like Touch X's Battery % CAB.
Just give me the files and the size they need to be resized to and I can see what I can do. Maybe we split up so it´s going to be faster.

Thanks for the offer but I have completed the resizing and am a quarter of the way through putting them into the DLL file.
There is one last hurdle though, the DLL needs to be signed before I can put it back into the CAB. The last time I did such stupid things was when I had a Diamond and it wasn't problem resigning DLL files as the cert was in date.
I last tried to create my own battery icons around January for the HD2 and wasn't able to resolve the signing problem so abandoned it but I do believe a new signer/cert is available now but am unfamiliar with the new process. So a crash course in what's needed would be good. Failing that I'll just upload the modded DLL and/or the ICO's and see if anyone can complete the CAB.
Sorry can´t help with certifying the dll but I would love to have the png/ico files anyway! Is there a chance to send them to me? I would appreciate that.
And of course I´m waiting for the wonderful battery icon. The stock one is crap.
Count me in on that
I would also like this one.
Really looking forward. Hopefully someone could provide a cab asap.
SL bb
Just a quick update, finished it all including CAB . However I've done it wrong lol, the icons needed to be cropped first not just resized and the icons themselves don't look good as the greyed out segments can still clearly be seen (dam transparency filter!!!!).
I personally wanted just a black & white battery icons, so I have just finished retouching every single icon to clean them up. I will just need to now actually resize them (have typically found a much faster way of doing this now ) and then finally re-CAB them. Which I will do when I get some free time during the week.
Here's what the first attempt looked like: (you'll see the greyed out segments and that it looks too small and weird in my opinion LOL)
wow that looks awesome! I like that the greyed out segments are still visible! Don´t change that please. Or maybe you can provide 2 versions?
Maybe I can help. And is there a chance of making the circle a little bigger?
lookin' forward to
Hmmm, ya it does seem a little small. I do kinda the visible greyed out segments, but I think I'll wait and see how it looks without them.
EDIT: Hahaha horstborsch, one minute before me. Having two versions sounds like a good idea.
LOL, @horstborsch & @Bluey Thunder. The reason it looks small is because I messed it up by just resizing the original icons, these original icons didn't use the full area of the icon frame and hence once resized they got a little too small for my liking. I've addressed this by cropping the originals and then resizing to the required size, mental as it sounds it should produce a bigger icon .
Regarding doing a version with the grey segments included, that should be easy enough to do after I've completed the clean (bigger) ones I'm doing right now. Hopefully I'll be able to complete the clean version today after I've finished breakfast .
this will be a great battery indicator mod for stock icons... will keep an eye on this thread...
First post updated with CAB's and original icons.
Thanks man
love your work

Awesome work! Installed it and everything seems to be working perfectly. Much more informative than the old 5 (or so) bars.
Oh and thanks for also posting the original icons too, I'm sure someone will appreciate it.

[BOOT ANIMATION] Android robot boot animation

First, and probably foremost, I need to make some acknowledgments:
Credits/Attributions:
The images contained in this file are based off of the work originally done by Yukfoo Animation Studios and their talented team of artists. They had no knowledge of my creation of this file, nor took any part in it's developement or modifications to their images. However after completing the work, I humbly asked for and received permission to credit their wonderful artistic talents.
Portions of this file contain modifications based on work created and shared by Google and used according to terms described in the Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution License
So here's my bootanimation I created. I've never really done one before, nor do I have much 'photoshop' experience either, so go easy on me! I truly have mucho respect for those that excel and are efficient with these programs.
I had some strange issues creating a transparent background for the red and blue version, so they have a full screen black background. Also, by not having transparency, I can save in jpeg format which is *MUCH* smaller, and noticeably snappier. (UOT who has this converted it to png)

Well, I wish I were able to. When contacting the creator, I learned that the character was built, rigged, textured, lit and comped by a team of people. I doubt I could create anything nearly as good from scratch. Those that can have my sincere admiration.
At least I got it red, though

Hmm, it runs almost perfect on mine. For a 'normal' boot cycle (after the rom has been loaded, and dalvik all set up), it runs for one complete cycle slower, then on the subsequent cycles it speeds up. It's 112 frames long, which is certainly within a normal range for a boot animation. Just turned my phone off/on and it ran through a good 4 cycles.
Now if I stop the core to push a file into the system partition, it gets chopped when I start core again, but that's different.
Nice one, fits perfect for flavoured ice dark cherry theme on Enoms rom

I can run a simple batch file to recolor it if you'd like. It takes literally less than a minute for me to recolor this. I can make a new one if you'd like. For example, I made a blue one with a diffused glow for effect:

I like the green, too! Here's the first version I did that's in the original colors, and with a white background. **The white background does not cover the entire screen, there are black bars above and below**
And in a recovery flash file: OG-bootanimation.zip
I've changed the folder placement to /data/local/, as after reviewing AOSP, it looks like it checks there first anyway, so unless your bootanimation command has been altered. I'll update the Red version here shortly as well.

You're right it is easy to do a simple hue change. However, where I ran into difficulties was in the black background. For some reason, I had trouble introducing strange artifacts that only showed on the phone, not in the individual images. Here's a highly compressed/downsized example put into a gif:
But when I put it on the phone, it looks like this:
Had similar problems with the red version. I think it has something to do with how I changed the background, as I never really had too many problems with the original version. But since you got me started on it, I'll try to get it finished

Ideally I'd rather have a transparent background, which I would think would show as black. But having him on a transparency like that would make it easier to do other things later. I just haven't learned my way around the image editing stuff very well...but I'm learning.
I've got a couple other sections of video I *think* I might be able to isolate with some work. Some of this stuff if pretty tedious though (for me anyway). That android guy I put in for an avatar earlier... I had to reconstruct the right 1/3 of his head as it was covered by something else on the screen. And as long as I spent on it, I'm still not near as good as what the original creators did.
i just pushed the green version with white bg, it woulda been fine but then now the top 1/3 and bottom 1/3 of screen is black and the mid part is white

Oops, my bad...I guess I didn't really explain that. Yes, that's the correct display. The area of video that the base work was lifted from was a 16:9 aspect ratio, and our phones are like a 9:15 aspect ratio the other way. As that was my initial piece, I was more concerned with getting the animation smooth sized right. But after seeing it on the phone, I actually kinda like it the way it is.
I'll update the op so that folks are aware ahead of time. Work is planned for the green guy for sure...
and when everything smooth out you should add strobe lights for the robot to dance to or music notes... something in the background.. idk.. lol
am I the only one having issues installing this bootani?
I tried with AmonRa (1.8.0.1) with error "no installation script" or something like this.
Then I copied the bootanimation.zip file directly into /data/local
both 2 methods didnt work for me...
help me please...

Well, I'm not sure what to tell you. What rom are you running? I know one of the desire ports is putting it in /system/customize/ or something similar..can't remember.
Try pushing the file to your /system/media/ folder and see if that works...
Ths is really cool!
Thank you!

[WIDGET] Analog Clock w/ a Twist

Hi Guys,
I've just published a different type of analog clock to the google market. It has a seconds hand and it works on all launchers. It is currently 3x3 as i felt that was just the perfect size for this widget. Let me know what you guys might feel about the size and i can decrease it if the general concusses is to do so. Give it a try and let me know what you guys think about it. ALso, let me know of any bugs with it or any other suggestions.
I don't think there will be any future updates as I'm pretty happy with the widget. I will still work on the bugs, and any suggestions that make sense in this widget.
I'm however working on another similar widget but which will also have the date and/or location, so you can add multiple of them and show time in different locations. That widget will most likely be at a cost, but I haven't decided yet.
The screenshot is attached at the end of the post along with a qr code to the market link.

Edit:
I've finished work on the full version of the widget, which includes a date section. There are also some more clickable sections of the widget, so you can choose to open different applications by clicking top portion, or bottom. Now, the middle portion opens the settings. Enjoy.

it looks weird. i will download it and try it out...let you know how it goes. how do i scan that thing? barcode scanner?
ok so first of all the size of that thing is wrong, for my evo. just because it cant be centered which i know i could change, but im not going to do all that for a clock. The seconds are off when you unlock or slide between homepages. No big deal really, they are on point when the screen stays. I do like how it looks (like a baby bella cheese???? lol)....different. I like that. however I would not get rid of my sense clock to keep that on, but don't be discouraged bc I haven't seen a clock ever I like more than the sense. I even added it to my non sense phones. overall i give you an 8/10.
its gay....there are you happy?
lol nah i like it. posted a quick reply on accident and don't know if you see them or whats up because they aren't showing on the thread. idk.....just trying to post ten times to get a mod i need to flash to fix my browser slowness that for some reason you have to be a member with ten posts to dl..why? idk. can't find it anywhere else. but you got someone to get your widget! Are you behind all this?
The size i couldn't decide on ... as a 2x2 widget it feels too small ... but i agree with you that 3x3 seems odd ... I'll update the widget to a 2x2 widget when i get home ...
thanks for the comments though
I downloaded and installed it on my EVO and I can't even add to the desktop - it's FC's everytime I try to add it! Please send me a fix, also perhaps you'll come up with some cool designs where the second hand is exposed or seconds are displayed in some kind of digital themed clock.
Running the latest Burnt Droid, Firmware, etc., I even tried rebooting the EVO.
Please advise...
I've updated the app on the market to be a 2x2 widget ... you can still resize it if your launcher supports it

If you could provide me a logcat i could look into it ... i don't own a EVO and it works perfectly on all the emulators and my Magic and my Desire ... :S
ok, sorry, I don't use the feedback thingy to report the errors but I'll get it for you though. I downloaded the updated version and I'm still getting the FC's and can't even add it to the home screen.

ok I finally am able to add to my home screen and all is working well. Have you ever considered adding the date on/within the the silver bar area. Perhaps users could customize that themselves or maybe ask to have it added.
The color scheme is cool cuz it basically a similar color scheme for an EVO and an Incredible. I for one would pay to have the ability to add the date in the space. I'd like to customize it here and there, change colors or fonts once in a while to match whatever background I may at the time.
Thanks again, JLG1985

I'm actually working on another similar widget which will have the date portion on the bottom half of the widget. I'm leaving the middle space empty for location, if i ever get around to that ...
Now, could you please tell me how you got the widget to work on your phone ... Ive got a few bug reports from people who've downloaded the widget and all they're getting is nullpointerexceptions on lines where it shouldn't be any problem at all
Ridicool is COOL!
I uninstalled the initial release, looked for any remnants I could manually clean, used SystemPanel to close all open apps, cleared cache w/cachemate, rebooted, installed the updated version, rebooted, added it to my home screen, checked the settings and reverted back to my home screen. Whew!
After a few seconds the widget finally popped up and working.
So far so good, love it's functionality and everything about it. The date within the "bar" area could be a special request for me please. If you wouldn't mind - whenever you get to it. Perhaps a smaller, skinnier "bar" area to see other functions & the clock a bit better could be cool too.
Are you ultimately going to allow scheming with this app/widget? Plus i'd like to donate $$$ for your hard work and future successes please, can I have your private email to send some funds please.
Thanks again, JLG1985
P.S. - I'm serious about the funds
I don't have plans on doing any theming etc simply because i don't know how to ... I'm still learning etc ... Im planning on learning live wallpapers next and doing something similar with them ... I already have the graphics etc so I can churn out a live wallpaper pretty fast ...
And i will honestly, look into adding a date option like you suggested in this widget... Maybe as a setting you turn on or off ... I can't guarantee that yet but rest assured I will look into it in the coming weeks ... I have a full time job along with another hobby that takes up around three four hours of my day everyday ... And then it's ahdroid development ... So development is really a little slow

Just installed it. Like it. But would even like it more without the "belt" surrounding it, and the option to change colours of the dials. I don't like the change of size affecting just the lower part of the clock.
Cheers,
Alex
Just wanted to say a I'm lovin' this widget!

I can't remove the belt now, but why don't you like the belt ... i know it's a matter of personal preference but i find it rather cool
I could never figure out why only the top portion of the widget increases in size when you resize the widget to a rectangular shape, but then i stopped bothering as i realized that i only want to support square shaped widgets ... a rectangular widget makes no sense for this type of widget :s
The changing of dial colors is pretty much impossible, unless i store all different colored dials in the app itself and then show the ones which user chooses ... you have to realize that the dials are actually images :s
I've posted an update to the widget. You can now choose which application to run when pressing the top portion of the widget. Also, I went through some of the code and cleaned it up so some of the lower end phones might be able to run the widget now ...
I find it ridiculous that an app that works perfectly on 3 different emulators and two different phones still manages to produce NullPointerExceptions.
I've finished work on the full version of the widget, which includes a date section. There are also some more clickable sections of the widget, so you can choose to open different applications by clicking top portion, or bottom. Now, the middle portion opens the settings. Enjoy.
I've also edited the first post with the info and screenshots.
I've updated the dials to be a bit larger on both the lite and full version. There is also an added option to show today's day (eg Monday etc) as opposed to the year in the full version. Enjoy.

[APP] NEONZ

Coming this week is my release of NEONZ beta only for the Samsung Galaxy S7edge. The app is simple. It produces a frame around the edge of the screen available in many colors in portrait and landscape. The framing will be produced in any screen or app you have open.
I am currently looking for someone to make the icon for this app as I am not good at this sort of thing. I am also looking for initial feedback and additional ideas.
Thanks guys!

FUTURE
Coming soon
Hi... how can i download your app for give you some feedback?
Sent from my S7 Edge using XDA Labs
Here, I gave it a try with the icon...
https://mega.nz/#F!cJYR1QCS!KFENx9Y7e9rBpi5CNDGTtw
Sizes included in ".ico" file are :
512 × 512 (Google Play store),
192 × 192 (xxxhdpi),
144 × 144 (xxhdpi),
96 × 96 (xhdpi),
72 × 72 (hdpi) and
48 × 48 (mdpi).
Sizes can be changed, added or removed. If you want to use the icon and need another size, just say so.
In folder are included 1080 x 1080 .png file (you can resize it at your own will) and the original .psd file for further editing.
For additional idea I could suggest to make an option to make it glow only on left and right sides, where the edges are rounded on phone.

Thank you very much! Yes I have considered just having the sides as another option. Having the whole screen bordered is a sight to see though. Just sides will soon be an option though. Thanks for the input and thank you for your work on the icon. You will be credited in the op when beta is complete. I should have something decent within a week. I've been playing with this idea for some time but it's hard to create it for every device on all different resolutions. Thank you very much for your time with the icon!

No problem, I had time to do kill
If you like the design of the icon and want another color of border, letter or fill, it can be all changed.
Take your time to develop it as better as you can... and I'm looking forward to try it! It looks a good idea!
Nice, not to be impolite or to demotivate you whatshowever, what is the use of this?:good:
Keep it up dev ^^

Will you be adding a option where you are able to pick some colours and have it switch through them or maybe even a fade option.
If you can't it doesn't matter I'm still looking forward to having this app.

It will have dual color and fading. The top and bottom bars may also be disabled so just the sides light.

VERY BETA!!

Here is a taste of what is to come.
ISSUES
- UI will be reworked. It's horrible.
- Top and bottom disable button may not stick.
LET ME KNOW ABOUT
- Does it fit your screen properly??
[emoji2]
Looks like the system keeps killing the app. I will be working on that along with the UI and more colors.
As you told system keeps killing the app... or by cleaning ram it get killed.
Set on boot it's working, just need few seconds to turn it on, but not a big deal.
I've noticed that after reboot the app "forget" the "Disable top and bottom" option. I believe the app doesn't read this option after startup, because even after it get killed and you launch it the option is disabled.
About UI maybe it would be better to have color palette to pick colors?
And an option to choose first or the second color trasparent?
And yes it fits perfectly the screen!
Thanks for your hard work, I'm looking forward for new releases! It looks awesome!
I've found another problem... if you want to grant permission (I've tried it only on storage) to any app it say that you can't do it untill you turn off the overlayed application... as I understand this one will be hard to beat...
I had to turn off overlaying permission to your application, but ofc after it stopped working...
very good app thanks

Fantastic work, installed and happy like a little child
It would be awesome if app could adapt the neon color to the apps header, just like keyboards can do.
Another good feature would be that the color which is in the middle of the edge could fade into transparent because it doesn`t look good when you open an app with white background. You see a gray/black semi transparent gradient.
When the Neons are ON I cannot click install when trying to install an app. Only Cancel button can be pressed.
i tried it its very cool but i got few questions:
can it cause burn in ?
can you stop it in full screen apps like watching a movie ?

Yes it could cause some burn in but it's such a small part of the screen that it doesn't concern me. I think it would take a considerable amount of time though.
The app won't have per app settings to disable only for certain apps you choose. Neonz is built on tasker and doesn't allow for that feature. At least not that I know of. It won't allow for choosing your own colors either, at least not that I am aware of.
I am still working on this app though in case anyone is looking for an ETA. I am setting up color screens to choose available colors and adding a feature to plug in your own color if you know the hex for that color. I'm sorry for taking so long on updates but things in life get in the way sometimes. An update will be available soon though that is far better than the first beta release. I will then update the OP including proper credit for the wonderful icon. I haven't forgotten about you.

Has any progress been made on this app or is it a dead project? Was really looking forward to an updated version of this app.
