I'm familiar with how to do color changes to the status bar through xml edits or colorchange.jar, but I'm looking for help editing colors in other apps that don't have the 0800001C pattern in their xmls. I understand that there may be something unique for each app, but I'm looking for some guidance on where to start.
Currently, I'm trying to figure out how to change Sportstap from the market so that the notifications have white text. Most everything else in my notification tray shows up white through the normal xml edits in framework-res.apk, but Sportstap notifications are still black.
As another example, the writer of the xUltimate script has a patch for Mixzing music player that changes the ongoing notification text color to white. I don't know what the patch does to accomplish that.
I'm sure there are other apps that have similar issues with a black status bar/notification tray.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
I'm fairly new to modding and every day is a learning experience. I now know how to manually edit the clock color in services.jar, but still unsuccessful with the date which I thought was an easy edit of the status_bar.xml in layout folder of framework. I see two places for values there and made them red and blue. I get the successful color change when I have a notification up there, but the date must still be black. Any idea where the date color is?
Hi guys.
I am trying to sort out a few issues with my AOKP, The notification bar at the top doest match my hearts requirement for a more green look. I want to change the colour of the carrier name, the date, the bar that seperates the date from the notifications. I also want to change the colour of the signal bars and the little H or what ever type of netowrk im connected too.
I would also like to change the text colour of all items in the settings menus. I know its probably alot of work and will require decompiling the framework_res.apk but im cool with that, I just dont know where I am looking to find the places I need to make my changes.
Let me know.
Maybe there is an app out there for doing this but I have not found it yet.
many thanks in advance.
I already did some modification the status bar to make it transparent, but one thing that annoy me a lot is the divider of the toogle of quick setting, I can't find any similar image.png in drawable hdpi as well as an XML in res/layout, anyone here can help where those dividers are located? or tell me the location of XML code? for further information, see the attachment (red-circled ones)
If you just want a transparent status bar, restore everything like it was before, then install Xposed Framework and Gravitybox, and you can set a transparent status bar there.
Transparency
ya, if you need just to make it transparent, Gravity box is all you need.
But for the dividers, there is nothing in it. Please let me know if you find out anything about the dividers. :good:
I have installed a white theme that i really like but now the text from status bar can't be seen as it is also white. Is there any way without root to change text colour or background? Changing the theme picture top could also be an option if i could find it and paint it dark but it's downloaded from theme store. Can it be found and be modified?
Did you find a way around this?
I once had an app called super status bar installed. It doesn't affect the original status bar (because AFAIK that's not possible without root) - but it replaces it completely and you can customize it then freely.
There are probably several other status bar replacement apps on the Play Store too, there should be something fitting for you.
