ADW Launcher - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

Ok so I don't know if this has been mentioned before and if it has I apologize. I searched and didn't find anything. So I am running CM6 and as you guys know it comes with ADW. So if you press and hold the launcher icon and swipe up and hides the tab along with the phone and broswer to the left and right. Then I dragged some icons down and to my surprise they stayed. To get the launcher icon back all you do is swipe down in te area and it pops back up. Thought it was kinda cool. You can also add more apps then what the screen width allows you too and they are scrollable. Here is what my screen look like right now.

Yeah you can also enable swipe up to open an app. I use it for the phone. Combine it with beautiful widgets home and you can tap time for clock, date opens calendar and you can set whatever you want. Also don't forget to backup your ads settings so if you flash another Rom your set

[Q] Dock4droid

I have been using dock for Droid and have rather liked it, asides from one thing. I am constantly pulling it up on accident while typing.
So, my question is this. In CM7 you can assign a custom app for long pressing the home key. Could I make this pull up the dock? I tried assigning it to the app, but that just opens the setting. I also did a logcat to see if it might list what is being ran, and maybe I could put that there...still no luck.
Anyone have a clue on what I need to do? I use launcherpro, and noticed you can make some pretty intense shortcuts with it...maybe something in there?
-Swyped on CM7
I dont know the answer to your problem but I cant really accidently pull it up with the settings changed a bit, you actually have to tap right on the area to make it popup.
I have mne set minimised to tiny and size at 10% and its a little small line less than a cm long.
Where the line is is the bottom of the screen, ive just blacked out below it so it can be seen easier.

VMWare View still good in ICS

the only thing i dont like is in the most recent update of the android app they added a 50 pixel bar at the top that totally wastes space. also the backwspace on the keyboard doesnt work wehn you press backspace on the dock keyboard
maybe its just because i have thumb keyboard set to my default intstead fo the asus defualt one.

the clipboard transfoers though. i uploaded that in the ics browser then copied the link from imgur and pasted it directly into the view app.
Why are you using a task killer, haven't people mentioned it enough?
The icon just hurts my eyes looking at it, just awful. You know where the problem is if your tablet starts acting up.
you could chose for ES task manager a bit more professional and a less trouble with freeze of tablet or mobile or with acting weird

[Q] Power Control widget gone

Stock rooted 2.3.4 GRJ22 V21y. Today my "power control widget" disappeared. Ya know, the blue bar with Wi-fi, bluetooth, gps, and two other buttons I never use. How do I restore this widget? This is almost silly...
Make sure your screen is on and hold your finger down over a empty part of the screen, one that does not contain any apps. After a second or two a menu should pop up with some options and one should say widgets. Select that option and the power control widget should be listed there.

}
The option should look similar, but maybe not exactly like this. Select widgets.

Slightly Bored. Extremely Helpful.
never mind
Wow, I'm sorry, I was dealing with my early-dementia father-in-law and I was out of it. The next time I picked my phone, I was, "Doh". But thanks for the reply.

What is the circle "X" icon on my home screen?

I don't think this is a default notification.
You can find all default notifications here http://eguides.sprint.com/support/e.../samsung_galaxy_s8_s8_plus_ug/status_bar.html
I think that the 'N' comes from a third-party app. Have you installed any apps lately?

Click to collapse
I think he's talking about the icon hovering over his home button.
You shouldn't ask the same question in multiple places on the same forum.
It looks like the circle and X you drag chat heads to to remove them off the screen when you're using Facebook Messenger.
s8 plus
Im using Nova launcher, i was talking about the "x" that pop up on my home button.
Ps: i'm using AT&T not sprint

[UX] How to get automatically rearranging home icons?

On iPhone, the home UX is pretty logical: when you delete or move an app, all the row of app moves to fill the empty space which is practical and clean.
On Android everytime you move or uninstall an app, it just becomes full of incoherent empty spot which means you have to manually rearrange each apps.
Is it possible or are there any plugins/mods so that app automatically rearrange themselves when moving or deleting an app not to leave an empty spot?
Thanks.
No one? An idea?
Probably not, Android doesn't use the home screen as an app tray by default.
You could try another launcher maybe. Something like one launcher may do it. Or another iPhone style launcher
