Anyone have any luck porting this over yet? I'd love to have it.

hopefully they will have this ported. Been searching for this.

Genie widget
Just do a search for Genie Widget apk. This is the news widget from the Nexus One.

Does anyone know if we could pull this apk from a desire rom, de-odex (if need be) then resign the apk and install?
Or would this widget need to live in /system?
Anyone know if there's a rom or leak out we could pull it from? I believe it would need to be from WVGA device...

Can you link some info on the one is the one that being asked for? I'm not sure which is being requested.

Awesome! I'm new to Android (First smartphone here) but that doesn't work. I tried installing with AppInstaller and adjusted my phone settings to install apps not in the market.
No dice. It starts up like it is going to install, then says "Authorization Failed".
Could it be for a different build only?

Yeah I said that earlier (in another thread). Probably gonna have to wait for root and ADB push it.

oh man so so close! I actually get to the point where its about to install, and then I get "Application not Installed" with the yellow exclamation point next to it. It even shows the newspaper icon! A little digging around, and some random posts suggest it has to do with 'application signing'.
Know anything about this?

Yea, you need superuser (root) access.

Hope you don't mind Gimpeh but I posted the apk on a few other sites to see if anyone else can do something with it. If they are able to get it working I will re-post it here most definitly.

Whatever it takes to get it working. Although I have a feeling we will be waiting for root.

Is the apk de-odexed? I.E., when you open the apk, is there a classes.dex in there?

Yep. Can you help? I tried installing via ADB in the SDK, but still no dice. I also tried signing the APK with a debugging key, and again, no dice.

LG Optimus 2X Keyboard

Thats because there are like 26mb of unneeded goods.
The pic looked decent so I tried it out, but its full on 50/50 Korean/english and doesn't seem to look as polished as the picture. Oh well. Danke, OP.

Is the 3rd_party directory in the zip unnecessary? I added it in an attempt to get the Swype-like feature of the keyboard working, but I'm not sure the feature works anyway. Here's a much smaller version of the zip without that dictionary. Can someone test it and see if it still works? If it still works I'll add it to the OP.

I'm not sure. I tried for a bit but I couldn't seem to. It might be something as simple as a missing lib, but I have a feeling it's more complex. Unfortunately I think it will have to be up to someone who knows more about android hacking...

how do i manually removed it...??it crashed in me.
or is there an undo patch??

You can either go in and manually remove the files in the zip with root explorer or just reflash your rom.

Any way for you guys to make one that non-rooted user can have

What do you mean files in the zip? Where would the file be located so I can just delete it?

[Q] [App req] Motorola Smart Actions from RAZR

Anyone think we could get the Smart Actions app from the RAZR? That would be cool! I know someone asked for it in the Droid X forum also.

I went into the RAZR forum and made the request. Hopefully they will be nice and upload the file.

Camera App for making Panorama Pictures

Found this app and tried it on the TAB and it works great, see the original thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19502488#post19502488 , this app comes from Sony, read the install instruction and hit the thanks button at the original thread.

Try the app called Photaf. Its in the market. That's what I use.

Sorry my bad, what I mean is that there might not be anything wrong with the apk as such, but it doesn't want to download (My tab said "download unsucessfull" 15 times. The script downloaded just fine and I installed it with cwm. So I was never able to get hold of the apk.

Here you go, let me know if it works, for the people that are downloading this apk in this thread you need a script to apply and you can download it from the original thread or else the app will not work.

My bad, ics , cm9. Unzip the package and use root explorer to copy and paste each app to system/app then install from there and reboot

Doesn't work for me using root explorer.
I can only install the main home program, the others give me a parsing error, and when I select it as my home app I get a force close.

Played around with it for like 15 minutes only but everything appeared to work fine for me on AOKP. It looks neat to me but grown to used to apex Launcher and the weather I can just see in the pull down on current ROM

Yeah, can't get the themes installed either, bet the permissions are wrong. Just a tip, I use solid explorer to unzip O2x roms, then go in and take what I want. The solid explorer is the real deal.

Yeah, it leaves a lot to be desired. I would say typical, but after interviewing Ricardo, I know things that keep me from bad mouthing LG. A lot of people forget, LG is a multi-national, billion dollar business, if a product is a loser, it's a loser. That being said, a lot of people will be pulling their feet out their mouths soon enough. Also, me and Ricardo agree, LG is right up there with build quality. Now, software, remember, a lot of grandma's are buying smartphones also, LG ui 3.0 is pretty tight if you're 85.

and no lag at all
and i was using nova and apex and they both lagged alot

Use root explorer or similar and copy and paste the launcher in system apps, then touch the app and install there in system, finally, reboot. You should be good then

Great launcher! I like it a lot actually! Thanks for sharing it with us!
This launcher will only work on ICS so if you have Gingerbread you may not be able to install it at all. At least that is my experience.

the whole launcher ui is messed up in paranoid android and dropbox link down.too much trafic
