No, it changes only the background images. No icons or anything else.
You have to switch the textcolor to white (or any other color you like) with CM Settings.

I'm using the pre-themed version of enomthers rom which has white in the status bar by default.

Weird, so am I, but when you pull down the notification bar I'm still getting black text. I coulda sworn it was white before flashing the carbon stuff.
NM, fixed. The enom desire bar I was using had black text on the white pulldown bar, which did not work with this morph (black text on a carbon background). I just brightened up the status_bar_item_background_normal.9 and the pressed version in photoshop and everything worked out. If it's okay with the OP, I can post it up for those who can't modify color values of text (like me, hah).
OP says ok, so here's the updated Carbon.zip for people who don't have white text in the pulldown notification menu:

Nice little morph, I like it!
Font colors work fine.
My phone is rebooting in flymode since install, though.
Is this a known issue /w this morph?

Is it possible to get a black notification bar on the froyo rom yet?
No. Not now. FroYo has not "deodexed" files.
When FroYo comes to AOSP, it will be "deodexed" and then we can get it.
It is so: You can change with metamorph every single png in your ROM. Thats possible with FroYo, but then you have a black clock on a black statusbar.
If you wanna do that, click on my "Desire Statusbar" in my signature and download the version for cyanogens ROM.
But then it's black on black.
OK Thanks, thats what I thought but figured it was worth asking cause a few threads I read people flashing a desire/black bar and they did not mention its black on black...
Thanks for the information
you could also use GrayBarFroYo as a temporary solution until froyo AOSP is released and we could change font colors in the status bar.
i use a black background. i guess there is no transparent status bar working for froyo yet, is there? even if so, i guess my clock would then blend in with my black background and not be visible. hmmm. i want froyo but waiting for a way to get rid of that white status bar!

Just wondering if anyone has come across any cool status bar morphs for the latest Cyan test mod 5? I've searched this forum and cyanogenmod's forum to no avail.
Just looking for someone to point me in the right direction, or feel free to add one you have/found here..thanks so much.

That's the theme where is was talking about the desire morph. i like this very much. but i had to change some colors on my own with spare parts. don't know why
You can use all my Themes for the newer Cyanogen ROMs.
Look at my signature.
Because of the changing of colour and date fonts is now in "Spare Parts"
My "real Desire" theme is not with the colorful icons anymore. the Icons are additional.
I can't seem to find any black notification bar with all icons and text in white?
I currently have Enom's latest ROM
CM6 allows for themeing the color of the both.
so basically CM6 allows me to even change the battery from green to white and the vibrate icon to white also? I know I can change the color of the text but I didn't know I could change the color of the battery since it is an image

This is just the start of my theming with help and suggestions i will improve it!

If your still having a problem with the black text try putting the framework-res.apk in manually with root explorer!
I personally place the framework in the "overcom rom.zip" from my desktop
So maybe the cwm update is not working properly!
I dont have the text problem???
i really liked this theme on 1.4.x but the alpha level is little too low. the background distracts too much when i interact with the notification items. can it be increased a little bit? i mean make more opaque
the brightness bar is cool

I'm back again and tested your update.
First tru CWM and second tru Root explorer.
Everytime i wiped the Dalvik and still the same problem.
So i did a new rom flash currently Overcome 1.6.3.
Did the same thing over again to apply your theme.
As you can see there is still a difference between your screenshot and mine.
- i got text beneath the powerbuttons
- my display brightness shows text
- notification text is shown in black font
And i have found the reason but not the solution
If i change my "Local and text" to English language then your theme is as i should be.
If i change it back to my language (Dutch) your theme gets completely ...F-Word...
Only the notifications stay in black font even if i change the locale
So it has to be something with the locales, is there something you can do?

Did not work still the same issue.
The powerbutton and display brightness text.
But the notifications text has change into white font
well.. its not a bug but the problem im having is.. for example, when i pull down the notification bar, i can see the transparent layer which is fine but the transparency or alpha value for the transparent layer is too low for my liking. i sometimes cant distinguish between the items on notification and the items in the screen below the notification transpancy layer.

Just decompile systemui and edit status bar.xml

I have, I have also tried three different launchers. Maybe you should include it on your next release or just go ahead and send me a systemUI with it done already.
Also, on my Optimus V running unofficial CM7.2 we just got the option of changing the color of the status bar. I do not think it is a CM7 mod either, so maybe that could be included in a update later down the road.

Yea, I have read it and the problem with that is that I cannot install the java SDK or the Android SDK and apktool does not run properly. I am on a 7 year-old E-Machinces PC with a 1.2 processor and 512 MB of Ram. I cannot run half the programs I need to do this kind of stuff. I had a friend try your guide and others for me and the result was the same- not transparent. Thank you for your help anyway.
