Wallpaper.. :-| - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

Hey guys,
I've created one of my pictures as per the screen resolution i.e., 480x854 but i am not able to use it as my wallpaper.. the damn thing asks me to crop the picture again... pls help..

The Picture should be 960x854 for the X10 and when the Screen with the Crop come then raise the square as big as the Wallpaper. Sorry for my English im from Austria

As Wolfbreak has said, the correct resolution 960x854. When you go to select the wallpaper, drag the square to a corner, then drag the corner of the square so it sits around the whole image, then it will fill the 3 screens.

I think you wanna know how to put a wallpaper without cropping.
I use a application called Wallr.

Its free.
Just put ur wallpapers in a folder and set your folder in config screen in notification bar on the application, so every time i click it picks an image.
this is not the straight forward method. but so far I didn't find an app that will let us pick any image on SD without other useless things.

at the moment i'm currently using HandyShortcuts or shortcutmanager with everything turned off, but every soft reset it loses its settings
surely there must be an addon to add a few blank lines?
(also is there any theme creator that you can make the lines between the addons transparent)
cheers people
my one (link in my sig) adds almost a whole screen of blank if you do not set up the shortcuts. You can put the other today items before it if you want them on screen or after it if you want them to scroll off. The only down side is that if you use another today item at the same time as my one you will get the scroll bar, some people don't like to see it.
You say you want to make some transparent space, the reason you can't do it with some theme is that it is never transparant. When we make it seem transparent, in reality we just ask the today screen/os to keep re-drawing the background picture thats already there. Check out my options dialog, it has the same background as the today screen. Thats because that window is also "asking" for that image to get drawn.
Scary bear has one free. I've made one which is quite useful, but unreleased for now until VJToggleToday comes out...

Windows Mobile 5 - Lossy Today Wallpapers (pix inside)

Hey all
I've just recently upgraded from a Magician to a Prophet.
One thing I've discovered is that images I set as the wallpaper get converted and saved in jpg with a compression mode of, like two or something.
It never did this in WM2003 on my Magician. It was always tiled.
The screenshots can probably describe it better than I can.
Image set as wallpaper through the today screen/WM5 Picture Viewer.

A brief search of the forums shows nothing. I've not really looked into it yet (landscape issue? ctrl+f registry, etc) but when I get a fix I'll post it here.
Anyone got any ideas in the mean time?
Please no "omg i see no diffrence lol" posts.
The files "stwater_240_320.jpg" (portrait) and "stwater_320_240.jpg" (landscape) are in \windows\ and are the images used on your desktop. Copy your files directly over these and you will keep whatever quality you originally had without them being downsampled by the wallpaper picker.
It also allows you to have a different image for landscape and portrait.

Click to collapse
LOL... the clock is around her face.
OK
Anyway, the pic is vga and the device wvga. Thats the case
btw try google translate. It might make your point clearer.
It a diamond clock and as such is made for a smaller screen. I had this when I tried a few clocks. Its something to do with the curtain that displays the calender...
Clearly it's not the clock that he's after.
nobody have a solution for this problem

[Q] Creating uneven/round/diagonal home screen hotspots.

Hello everyone.
I am currently working on a new home screen for my SGNote. My intention was to make a custom wallpaper from scratch, using the icons, fonts and images I desire and then adding hotspots for shortcuts using blank png images.
I ran into a little problem though, let me explain. I know that you can create "placeholder" images using blank.png image files, but as far as I know these files and hotspots can only conform to the different grid sizes, what I mean is that they can only scale horizontally or vertically within the aspect ratio of the grid. I hope I make myself clear, as it is kind of hard to explain through written word.
In any case, what I need to be able to do is create hotspots that vary in size, whether they be round or diagonal, or maybe even rectangles that do not conform to the grid.
I will try to exemplify through an image I've found.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now, lets say that I need to create rectangular hotspots for the panels under "STATIONS CONTACTS FOR:" or a rectangular one for "PRIMARY SYSTEMS TEMP". How would I go about doing that?
Anyway, I hope I made myself clear.
I thank you for your time and look forward to reading your answers.
