First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I didn't see a Q&A section so i thought it would be ok to post here.
Alright so can anyone tell me what the best free available sms app is?
I have a friend that just got the Omnia i900 and she was telling me she really dislikes the stock texting app and asked if i can find a replacement.
I'm an android user so i'm not too knowledgeable with wm apps and whatnot, hoping a few of you can point me in the right direction.
I found that "HTC Messaging Client" release but i'm not sure if that is only compatible with htc phones somehow.
I'd appreciate any help, thanks.
Vito
Have you tried Vito SMS-chat?
I have a touch diamond 2 and its super fast and smooth
Nope i don't believe she has. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll let her know about it.
Anyone else have some recommendations

Has anyine managed to do a ROM like the new HTC Touch PDA? Would this work on my XDA Exec? Or can someone help me put the iphone theme on my XDA.
Thanks
Come on, at least look on the same page before you ask questions. The same thin's being asked further down.
Basic answer is tough luck for now, nobody has made VGA versions of either.

Thanks alot bulldog.
AJ Im very new to this forum so please excuse me, if someone else has posted the same question. It would be nice if u were to keep you comments civil.
Oh I'm so sorry, I had no idea being new somewhere means you are unable to read the other questions posted on the very same page.
I'll bear this in mind from now on.
Thanks to enlightening me to this terrible affliction that must strike users with less than several days, or posts on their profile.
now now ladies, back to your corners.
Howdy folks, I was just browsing around and noticed this site was the only place I could really come up with any info on Centrilo. See this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334574
and according this, which confirms my findings, the program no longer works with the Ventrilo 3.0 servers. Of course that is what I need it to work with.
Does anyone happen to know how to fix this issue with Centrilo? Or possible another program that works with their servers?
Thanks in advance for any help anyone may be able to provide.

bump anyone?
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I thought it would be better than making a new one. But I would really like to be able to talk on Ventrilo on my Tilt.
**Edit**
I found this using the search, and I didnt realize it was under the "Rom Development" section. Could someone move this thread to the right section?
Hey I have a Xda Ignito(diamond) currently and was just wondering what the users of the TP thought in comparison to the diamond.
Is it worth upgrading?
Any software improvements etc?
thanx in advance
Did you really have to start a thread for this specific topic? This is bewildering to me. You're really asking for 'it'.
Do a search, you'll find the info you need.

I've put the name of the thread you started and put it into google and look what it showed as 3rd result: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416919

Without source code this is more or less impossible. There have been attempts to "pretty it up" but nobody has ever rebuilt it and I don't see it happening any time soon.
alright
alright, well... is there any way to completely replace the tmail application? i know there is SMS-Chat and things like that out there but has anyone ever attempted to make a more visually pleasing replacement for the tmail app that manages email and text like tmail?
Thanks for the quick response btw
Moved as not software release.
Hello,
I have no development experience so I'd like to make a request. I have a keyboard APK that's apparently designed to work with Froyo but I'd like to use it on my Nexus S. It's a WP7 style keyboard. I will attach it and request that anyone who knows how please try and make it work with 2.3.4 on the I9020T.
Thanks to anyone that helps me out, I really appreciate it.
P.S. this is a re-post. I posted this exact thread in the wrong section (i.e. the 4G section). I don't know if the other one is going to get cancelled or not but to be frank, I don't think I am the only person with this request.
Regards,
Peter

Thanks, but that's not quite what I was looking for. I want to use the default Android keyboard but I want it to look like the one from WP7.
Have you tried 'Perfect Keyboard' from the market?
