Hello,
I'm currently evaluating Setting Profiles and I would like to do this:
When in the car dock, turn on GPS and Mobile data, lock orientation to landscape, force speaker for calls and disable screen timeout.
So far I have created a profile with this selected :
SpeakerPhone on
Orientation off
GPS on
Screen timeout 0
and a rule for "when in car dock"
I can live with the fact that i locks orientation instead of forcing it to landscape.
But I can't seem to find a way to turn on mobile data. I can turn wifi on, but that's not what I want, I want to turn on mobile data.
Is this at all possible?
Regards
Olivier

Hi I wad surprised by the number of widget switches that allow to enable / disable the auto rotate screen feature (there are plenty) ; but not a single one works properly on my galaxy tab. I mean when I enable with any of these Widgets the "auto rotate" setting it works fine, but when I disable it, it looses the current screen orientation and set a predetermined one.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is just my phone or not, but I can't seem to disable the data connection outside of the widget from the notification bar.
I first noticed the problem when I was attempting to create a profile that would turn off the data connection and back on every 15 minutes, but it failed to do anything.
Afterwards, I tried out some apps such as Widgetsoid2.x and put Mobile Data and 2G/3G onto the widget. However, I noticed that turning off the data from the widget would show it being off on the widget but it'll remain on in the notification bar. If i turn it off through the notification bar, the widget on the homescreen would be off. However, clicking the homescreen widget to turn it on would bring up the Mobile Network Settings screen with a toast saying, "Enable Data First".
Anyone else got this problem or have a solution?
Its not just you, I have profiles setup using Llama to switch WiFi on and off depending on where I am and of course I have it turn data off when WiFi is on.
Now I'm not sure if its a glitch related to turning it off manually, but it doesn't seem to turn back on when out of range of WiFi despite having a rule setup to do that. Yet other rules work perfectly. I just assumed it was a bug with Llama and figured I could like with it.
Like the title says, Is there an app to control automatically 3g/2g toggle and autosync on/off toggle while the phone is suspended? I tried Juice Defender Ultimate, but the 3g/2g toggle doesnt seems to work on ICS...
It would be awesome after 5 minutes with my screen off, for the phone go into suspension, syncing some non vital apps every 15 minutes, and toggling just to 2g for some vital stuffs
not found too .. but maybe in "near" future cyanogenmod (9?)
Hello, is there a way to turn the gps on/off? I want to keep the location services turned on, but in the quick settings, it has otipon only turn on/off the location services, not only the gps. I have to go to the settings menu if I want to turn the gps off, but keep the location services on.
P.S.: i checked this quick setting on my Lenovo tablet, and it works the same way So it is maybe not an Alcatel related feature, but it is somewhere Lollipop.
Other Lollipo questikn, why they (google?) removed the silent mode? Why I have to set volume to zero, instead of turning off the ringtones?
Use battery saving setting in location services. Turns off GPS.
Yes I kow, it turns off the gps, but, it is notaccessible from the top of the screen quick settings. It disables or enables the whole !ication service. I tried some gps on/off apps, but they don't work.
Hi,
I was wondering if there is an app that can automatically change my Gear S3 settings on certain moments?
For example, before I sleep I always change my brightness to the lowest setting = 1 and turn off my Bluetooth and WiFi.
When I wake up I change the brightness to a higher level and enable my Bluetooth and WiFi.
It's frustrating to do that manually every night and morning.
So is there an app available that can do this automatically? Would be great to be honest :/
