Does android o.s have decent apps in the pipeworks?

Hi
I'm split between getting the motorola milestone/droid which has a qwerty keyboard (which i badly want), and between the htc hd2 which has the windows apps which i badly need.
I am kind of stuck now between which one to choose for my new phone. So was wondering
1) is windows mobile 6.5 on htc hd2 backwards compatible with the software from windows ppc and other version of windows mobile? (mainly because the apps i want are stuff like rosetta stone on ppc, reflex mentor on windows mobile, lingvosoft on ppc etc which are old)
2) does android o.s have similar software either already or in the pipeworks from anyones knowledge (i know iphoen has a few of these apps or similar already btu no idea about android)?
3) how easy is it to hack android (i know i can test and trial out a lot of these apps before i buy on windows due to the great internet, but can you also do it to android and iphone)?
Thanks to anyone who can help clarify this,
guess no one knows
Hi, Android has over 20,000 apps and counting. It's also open source & has been hacked a pleanty

How do I transfer my text FROM Android TO WM?

I have just switched from an Android G1 to an HTC HD2. I have a lot of text on the Android and I would very much like to transfer the SMS to my WM phone. I have been searching everywhere for a solution to this problem. I have found a few post about how to transfer sms from WM to Android, but NOTHING on how to transfer sms from Android to WM. I'm running Android 1.6 on my rooted G1 and WM 6.5.3 on my HD2. If anyone knows of a solution or could at least point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
would like to know this as well..
and also any way to transfer from Winmo to Android also?
how do you do this windows to windows?
windows to windows: PIMBackup
maybe there is also a version of pimbackup on the android store
moved to QnA, not dev related.

Android VM to run Winodws Mobile 6.5

This might sound like a "silly" question but is there anyway to maybe run a Windows application on Android? Maybe through a VM or something?
no silly question at all!
Absolutely not a silly question.
I think it would be very nice to have the possibility of installing WinMo apps on Android.
does anyone know a way to do this?
I don't think the next is possible,
but would there be a way to get dual boot (or something more or less similar)
on an android phone? Like Gen.Y DualBoot does with WinMo devices, but then the other way round!
Bumping. Have WinMo on android or even being able to run WinMo apps would be awesome.
Wow, dude it'll be awesome if I could run WWP, TCPMP and Lingvosoft dict on my Android
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA app while pooping
I'd run it...
..if only to sync my phone to Outlook!
I don't know enough about WINE, but would it be possible to implement such a thing in Android? For those of you that don't know about WINE, it runs Windows programs natively in Linux, without emulation.

Click to collapse
Could be possible with some sort of Wine for Mobile but would be tricky as it is very unheard of... Im sure some dev out there is capable of such a task
