[Q] [App Request] programming on android - Android Apps and Games

Hi,
Is there any application that may be similar to FlashBuilder, NetBeans or Eclipse on Android? Maybe a simple compiler? It would be great if we could create code in ActionScript3.0, but any language will also be welcome.
/ Sorry for my English

Is there not google in your country?

Its not an answer for my question. Ive asked about an app which you could have on your phone to make web applications in as3.0.
This question is about programming ON Android.. not for android...
Thx for your answers

so as I understand there is no option for any compiler from the market? I don't want to hack my phone to do this in terminal.
My wish is to have posibility to write down my "code ideas" and try out if they work properly.

Thx warsng for help!
I found SL4A (ASE).. for those who are interested:

Most apps can be developed using Mircosoft Visual Studio. You can download free versions here (http://www.microsoft.com/express/). Although they might not support mobile development I can't remember it's been so long since.
As for books, I am prety much self taugh other than the odd C# book to get me going.

Having just checked out how to start WM6 programming yesterday, the requirement is Visual Studio 2005 or later (professional for touch devices I think). Express wont work.

getting started in programing for WM6. pls advise

hi folks,
i love my phone and will like to contribute...
i studied years ago turbo pascal but i figured that programing languages basically have similar flows?
i will like to seek advise from pros on how do i get started?
can i
1) know what programing language or tools do i need?
2) know what are the usual errors or problems so that my climb will be easier?
i am really sincere and i hope the pros can take some time to advise me...
yours
leo
I would say, the easiest way to do some application pgrogramming, is to use the Visual Studio 2008(Tool) and C#(language). The platform is .Net framework 3.5.
You can download the latest Windows Mobile emulators, and use it along with Visual studio to test and debug your programs. Once you are satisfied with the program, you can build the cab using Visual Studio(which you can install on the real windows mobile device).
Please post specifics if you need more info. I am sure most of the poeple here are willing to help!
Please try the search function before posting even though this is the Q&A section
This question was just asked: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452400
sorry bro . . .
its fine, just figured you might find a little information quicker there
ok specific Q can i rely solely on "WYSIWYG" interface? rather than hardcode like C etc?
Nope. Solely WYSIWYG won't get you anywhere.
But you can use it. For example the CompactFramework.Net (CF.Net) has a WYSIWYG interface, but the underlying functionality you'll have to write yourself.
If that is what you meant...

Look for an example in open source applications. Search for example for "Reremind". It creates a cab.

[Q] Conversion of iOS app to WP7..

Hi lads,
There is an app called AFL Supercoach on the iOS app store. I want that app on WP7 but have absolutely no hope that it is in development. I was wondering whether it would be possible to convert it using the tool MS had released. The tool with all the indexed codes and stuff..
Would it be possible? In a WP7 layout (Zune like)? And how hard would it be?
I'm not an experienced developer..
cheers guys, Abz

Its too early for me to dig up a link but if you go to MSDeveloper pages, there is a link for porting apps from iOS to WP and Android to WP. I am not an experienced developer either but love tinkering stuff from days of WM and android. I am currently porting 2 Android apps to WP. Takes time initially but isn't that difficult. Give it a shot. If you fail to find a link, holla me, when I've opened my eyes I will search it and paste it here. Hope this will help. Happy developing for WP!
Hey dude,
Got the link and also the app that I'm working on. But how do I know which file from inside the iOS app corresponds to which file within the WP7 app? They have different names....
And for the corresponding APIs and codes, do I have to use the online"directory" on the MSDeveloper or is there an alternative program available?
Cheers, Abz
