have some weird display problem on seesmic after latest updating - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

is there any one having the similar display problem i am having right now after updating seesmic to 1.4.1. basically, the problem is shown on the Timeline, the profile picture getting larger, look like same size as viewing the tweet. since that, first a few characters of all tweets in the Timeline overlapped under the profile pic. any help on that?

I emailed seesmic support and it's an issue which they are aware.

Better gallery for the Tab?

Hi,
Do you guys know a better photo gallery to use with the Tab, as the stock one is sluggish and resizes photos, meaning that if I zoom in I cannot see any details, the pic gets blurry.

Custom Gallery3D build (from source code) by Number22, do a search on XDA.
or:
JustPictures (on the Market).
Cheers
The two I use are:-
JustPictures! ~ View Flicker, Picassa and all pictures on the Tab.
Works much quicker than the Gallery App and displays much more information including the total photo's in any one folder, when the folder was last added to and EXIF data.
Large Image Viewer ~ View photo's at full resolution.
It is quite surprising just how much detail is lost with the stock Gallery App.
Using Large Image Viewer is very quick and displays photo's in greater detail.

True. But I believe that Number22's Gallery3D build fixes this.
Justpictures messes up the wallpaper crop for the tab, the original gallery is better for that...
Original gallery doesnt mess up the crop but suffers from artifacts and errors when cropping. Just pictures doesnt suffer the same but makes incorrect crops. Number 22 gallery apk fixes both but suffers from fc errors. You're doomed!!!!!!

That's the main reason why I prefer Large Image Viewer which does not loose any detail zoomed in.
Large ismage viewer is great. I started using it as the main app for photos.

Sorry, it's not showing in my thanks list.
Quickpic is my choise..
Happy new year!
I use Large Image Viewer to view high resolution images. it's free in the Android market.
Another +1 to Large Image Viewer. I tried Just Pictures and noticed nasty artifacts on my photos.

Try out Fish Bowl Photo Viewer. Its cool.

Fish Bowl Photo Viewer has exactly the same problem as most image viewers: it won't show images at full resolution.
I've only ever found two full-resolution image viewers: Large Image Viewer (noted above) and QuickPic (currently available on Market as a beta). The latter has a less buggy interface (hidden files can be toggled back to hidden state, for instance), but neither of them comes with a proper directory browser or cbz/cbr/cb7 support, and neither one can perform the other infrastructure tasks that Gallery does (i.e. selecting crops of images for use in the contact manager), so I have three viewers installed: QuickPic, for high-quality images, the hacked Gallery3D app (to keep other apps working), and Perfect Viewer (for viewing lower-res images, cbrs, and finding images by filesystem path instead of trying to pick them out of a gallery list).
I'm stil looking for a replacement for Perfect Viewer, as I'm not all that enamored of the interface, but the only other similar app I found (ACV) had major dithering artifacts visible that bothered me even more.
Sorry, I misremembered. I stopped using ACV because it didn't fill the screen (and I didn't want to deal with the occasional distortions from Spare Parts). It was jjcomics viewer that had dithering artifacts.

Friend Stream painfully slow?

Haven't seen much written about this, so thought I'd throw it out there - for those using Sense, is your Friend Stream painfully slow when it comes to loading comments, posting comments, loading people's pages, etc? I love it for the widget and how easy it is to see twitter/FB posts on the home screen, but as for actually using it interactively (pretty much anything beyond just reading posts), it takes FOREVER and drives me crazy.
I'm still running stock, so maybe it runs better on rooted Friend Stream? Idk, I'm just perplexed by why it's so slow since most everything else is blazing fast. Every time I try to comment on a post through Friend Stream it makes me want to just use the FB app or the mobile site. Anyone else?
I use LauncherPro Plus and the "Friends" Widget, which works great.
Occasionally, if there is any issue with it not refreshing (which is not very often, but does happen) I just "restart" launcher pro and then trash and replace the widget. Always fixes it.
Maybe if your using Sense just trash the widget, force stop Sense, re-add widget?

Thanks for the reply, but the problem isn't that the widget doesn't refresh, it's that when I click on a post and then it takes me to the friend stream app, the APP is really slow. Takes like a minute or two for things to process. The widget has been updating regularly.
I'm on rooted stock rom and I feel your pain. Friendstream is horribly slow when you want to do anything other than read posts in the widget. I always end up using the FB app. Sucks, but I like the FS widget.

You just described exactly where I am with the whole thing. Love the widget, but have to use the FB app for interactive stuff. It's not a data thing b/c the dedicated FB app always refreshes and loads like *that* - but the friend stream app doing anything is...like...*thaaaaaaaattttt* (i.e. really slow). In a perfect world the widget and app would be one and the same, but oh well.
I'm having the same problem with mine friend stream app. The widget is fine but the app itself is dreadful!
Lol well at least it's nice to know that I'm not the only one. I guess that's why I started the thread, to make sure I didn't have a bad apple...well that and the hope that maybe someone would have a 'fix.' Oh well, I guess we just really have to treat is as ONLY a widget.
Does anyone have issues with Facebook no longer being an option to sync on the mytouch.
I have a black mytouch and I only have the option to sync Flickr and Twitter to my friendstream and I know for a fact that you could have Facebook because it worked on my white mytouch

You should definitely be able to stream FB through Friendstream. I only use it for FB and Twitter. Not sure why it wouldn't recognize it.
Yeah I factory reset and everything and still no go.

Landscape gmail with Preview?

I swear I've seen a few videos that showed the gmail app in the SR to show an email preview when in landscape view with the inbox on the left and the selected email on the right. I can't figure out how to get this option if it exists.
Anyone else seen this or get it working or was I seeing a different phone?
Thanks
The stock email app has that. Maybe that's what you saw.
Yeah it was thanks for replying. Weird Googles own gmail lacks advanced things.

Seesmic - Can't update my facebook status

I like Seesmic because it's working awesome on my phone, Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570, but when I try to update my status, it says updating, then when wall is refreshed my new status isn't there. I 've checked on PC too and no status update. Seesmic has all premisions for facebook so that's not the problem. What could it be?
If cannot be fixed can you suggest a similar app? I've tried HootSuite, TweetDeck, Fast For Facebook, FriendCast but they are featureless or doesn't work as well as Seesmic. FriendCast seems to be nice but it takes a long time to show pictures on my phone, with Seesmic I didn't had that problem plus I could've disabled profile pictures.
Thanks in advance!
Try Flipster..

MMS Pictures Distorted/Flipped on Hangouts

Portrait oriented pictures attached to MMS seem to be received as rotated and stretched back as portrait. These are shots taken by the 8MP camera, normal settings.
Images from the internet are fine. Pics taken in landscape are fine on the other end.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

To be clear, portrait-oriented pics I send via MMS are received in this distorted way.
I have same problem

Mine is doing it too. When pictures are taken it portrait HDR+ the dimensions of the photo are like 3200x2400 or something like that. They are fatties. And when texted they show as fatties. But when uploaded to like FB of G+ they don't distort. It really is the dumbest thing and hopefully will be fixed in a soon to be released update.
Does this only happen when you take pictures in HDR+?

Exactly the same problem with HDR pictures only! Is there any way to notify Google about this bug?
Outside their "product forums", which are a joke, maybe there's a way to file an entry in the Android bug reports?
Anybody have other ideas?
Hangout apps has been updated this morning. MMS pictures are no longer distored...but still rotated.
