Dear Xda-developers,
I love your proficiency in developing apps . But i am saddened by the fact that i just cant find any Ticker app for HD2 or winmo to display notifications rolling on the desktop.
When i was a symbian user i had Stoeger ticker .. Any 1 can develop same kinda app or any1 can suggest a similar existing app??
Love you ALL,
Are you using Sense at all? Do you only want the message ticker to appear when messages arrive?

exactly bro.. i want ticker to appear for any sms/rss feeds/alerts !
Thanx for response
When the ticker appears should and you click on an item, (a message for instance)should it open the email in Pocket Outlook or should it show you the HTC Sense message screen, or are you not bothered about that?
Not bothered if it opens the mail or sms . but it should keep rolling on the screen till i open it from the outlook and mark it as read ...
thats it ... Just the new notifications should roll on the screen ..
are u trying bro ??
no 1 ?????
Hi sorry dude been busy on another project. Whereabouts do you want it to scroll on the screen? I wouldn't imagine that you wouldn't want it half way down the screen.
Matt
good idea me wants to :}

Hi, can someone create a cab file to make a loading animation when sending
SMS like the iphone or anything, cause more likely it seems like the text window dialog box which you type in, flickers when SMS were send out. Another thing
is to enable the side volume rocker to snap photos with HD2 camera.
Thx
Bump
Hope there's some reply.
Good idea, id like it ass well
Yeah there is no Sent notification which is really annoying so a BIG +1 from me!
This is missing in HD2, could someone work it out here, thanks in advance....

Dude that threat is more to text animation smileys, I want a SMS send animation something like iphone. Cause in HD2 after sending SMS the text box
which you typed only flickers to indicate SMS were send. Perhaps someone
can create an mini loader above the text counter "0/160"

Message sent notification is only available if you disable HTC messaging and go back to the standard WM messaging instead. You can then activate sent notifications using the Advanced Config 3.3 app
HTC messaging bypasses the Windows system and is tied to all the other apps like contacts. Do a google of this and you will find the answer instantly.
I use WM messaging instead and find that it is MUCH faster, has ZERO issues with stuff like proper capilaization and works with ALL keyboards. The HTC messaging is still completely buggy....
This has been mentioned in many other posts before...
+1 I would like it.

Yeah, hope someone can make a cab, on the top curtain like a loader or something
when you send the sms just beside the Start.
+1 here .. I want to see animation while sending the text message too. Hope someone here can do it.
We all know this from the IPhone and I really want that feature for my HD2 with Android. As soon as a text message come in, the Iphone usually lights up the screen und you can see the text message on the lock screen. I'm using a build without HTC Sense, are there any apps out there that do that though? I know there are apps like Handcent SMS but the design is pretty annoying.
Anyone here who has a good tip for that on hand?
CHT 2.0 can do that...
so can s2u2 and pocketshield.

hey guyz... he wants a lockscreen with sms preview on "android" not windows
in android market .. search sms.. the app "SMS" and i guess sms popup also .. does give you a preview on the lock screen..
my bad. didn't read. Ye sms popup works. i tried it a while back on droid
I am wondering if anyone has or is able to develop a new lockscreen idea. One of the greatest things in Android is the drop down notification window. It has everything on there that you need to know. All the missed calls, texts, etc., that we all add to our lockscreens. Why can't the notification window be the lockscreen? Turn off the phone and the notification window drops, so when I turn it back on that is what I see - still clickable (with the option to turn off the clicks) and the way to unlock is to raise the notfication window back up.
Anyone?
Notification screen doesn't show me my upcoming calendar events, my current 'top priority" note, my return to owner note, the weather forecast for the next 5 days, etc, etc....
Widget Locker FTW.

i see what you mean.... but i think it shouldn't be clickable unless you swipe on it (sort of like the contacts in the Galaxy S)..this prevents accidents...
i would love to make a mock up of this... cuz i think this is a neat idea... i'll try to do something when i get the chance...

Thank you, I appreciate the effort! I agree that the click-able idea is something that could lead to issues, which I counter with making it optional. I really like the swipe idea though! Even better!
That's actually a pretty awesome idea I would like to see something like this also

Are you talking about the home screen or the lock screen?
For home screen status bar, Paranoid Android is the ONLY rom that offers this feature. They call it "Do not disturb" feature. It blocks any ticker in the status bar.
I requested for this specific feature to be included in a variety of roms but no dev responded so far.

If you're talking about message pop-up, go to mms app then disable quick-reply pop-up.

Hi,
That is called the notification area. Which is the same area as the clock, date, etc.
And what u want used to be available on older SMS apps.
It may be available on Handcent SMS app or GO SMS app as well, but I'm not sure since I haven't seen that since HTC sense ROM.
It was a privacy setting on the SMS app.
I'll do a search and get back to u.

is there any way or app that can categorized notification in status bar? for example mail only got 1 notification but have number depend on how many new mail come, and so the rest app.
i usually miss important notification because so many notification and it stack by another notification

You can use an app called "sms unread counter". It only applies to icons on your homescreen. It works for calls, sms, and emails. As far as I know there is no way to do it in the pull down bar just with icons on the screen.

If I'm not mistaken Android kind of does this on it's own. I know if I get an email in my status it shows the notification. Then in that notification it can say +5 more emails. Then I can drag down on that notification to see the other emails without fully opening them.
You could try the app floatify to see of that will help you.
Yeah, through the same app the notification should not create a new notification but instead increase the number on an already existing notification.

hi Lokke. thx for reply
unfortunately calls, and sms is what i barely use. in other hand, such email, bbm, twitter, chat group is what i mostly use, and sometimes in group chat or community chat (bbm, line, whatsapp, and else) new chat just for new information about whats going on if that case i just slide to close notification. but sometimes also new important information come, and i barely see it because it stack with another notification

hi lolcakes, thx for reply.
thats what i thought, and i'm pretty sure if notification only per app not per new notification, it will come in handy.
=============================================================================================
on the other case if there is really no app or way to do it, i think this will be bring new idea for developer to make such thing like this, is not like iam demanding, commanding, or asking for the developer to made it, but consider it as an opportunity to make small step for android, because for me it will be usefull, and i hope for the rest who own an android devices. i mean come on guy, is android, free to do whatever it suite you, the problem is i even dont know where to start. lol
cheers :good:
