You can root the XT720, but I don't know about installing HTC Sense.

Hi all, I'm a newbie here. I've got a vodafone htc magic 32b from AU. And it's running 1.6 dount. I would like to root it and install custom rom on it. I've try a lot but couldn't work. There are loads off threads on this in the forum search it welcome to the forum

Do you even have a Desire HD?? Isn't an HD a winmo phone? I know you can load Android on an HD2? Is that what you have??

Make sure to read, search and read some more before attempting to flash anything on to your device because if you're not too familiar with how things work, it could end up resulting in soft bricks and what not

Ok, this seems to be a working guide how to root your device.
It's still complex, but if you really want root, you should consider going through this step-by-step.
If it's too complicated for you, maybe you should not root your device.
