heh I found this lying around in Huashan's ROM. It'll be dopod's T9188.
Didn't see it online anywhere else, so decided to share them (just thought that you guys may be interested)
I spot a memory card slot, and is that a stylus that I see?
And that (lower) hole in the backplate, is that a kickstand? a large device where a kickstand is required?

Nice find!
Random Observation, though: Is the device...upside-down? The speaker grill (similar to HD2) is on the top, but so is the stylis, a charging port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Thought I'd point that out.
Looks like im the first one to say that obviously its a GSM version of the EVO
with a stylus ?????

I think it's a power button at the top, and a charging port at the bottom.

Possible windows mobile.
Neither WP7 needs stylus nor android so it must be Windows Mobile or anything new?
Thanks for sharing!
Best Regards
Regardless of which device this is, these photos are really cool. It's like those books I used to read where they would show the insides of planes, boats, etc.

Hey all,
When on flights I like to watch videos on my phone but holding it is a pain in the backside. Any recommendations for something that can sit on the tray table so I can just sit back and watch it? I assume it's a concept somebody has invented a simple bit of kit for doing?
Thanks
Russ
HTC Desire Docks
Goto 'onlydesire . com' and click on 'Miscellaneous' under Accessories menu.
Sorry should have been more specific, needs to be able to hold it horizontally...and be available in the UK, but thanks
Just found this:

Apparently compatible with the Nexus One so I assume the Desire too

Anti Lib Dem?
Nice job on the stand though.
If you're any good with plastics making a stand shouldn't be too big of a problem. I'm thinking of making a music dock personally

No no, not Anti Lib Dem
As their leaflet says, they did make a difference, they made a stand, for my desire.
In truth, it was on my desk next to my desire, and it was card. lol.

I want a case , or a rubber encasing perhaps (just waiting to see all the accessories once this goes global) BUT I love the idea of a cradle..
If I were to give you one.. which would you choose? I want both but it isn't really feasible hey..
The case no need for a dock yeett ....
I wonder is the front and back for the galaxy S easily exchange able ?
I got a silicone case on ebay for <$3us. I know it might stretch if I'm not careful, but it would let you keep your phone safe without precluding a cradle.
Check out these. I bet you could think of something better.

The back is just a piece of plastic, you just pop it off with your finger, nothing fancy at all. I fully expect a wide variety of cheap replacement backs for this phone in a very short period of time. That is why I am not worrying about scratching the back much, just the screen.

If anyone gets this, please report back, I'm only interested due to the backing/kickstand. I dislike the front, screen cover. The link provides some pictures, even more can be found here: http://www.bb.co.kr/main/model/model.php?model_id=2373993&qword=SHW-M110s

There are two different models in the pic I posted - the kick-stand version doesn't come with the fold over screen cover
Hi everyone,
I am working on building some htc desire docks as I havent phone a commercially available one that suits (and id like to see my work on my desk!)
The question I have is to do with charging status, basically I want to put an LED in the dock what shows the charging status, the only thing I am not sure about is how to go about actually finding out the charging status! Does the microusb send a signal when battery reaches 100% ?
I think its done off the voltage reading. If you buy a charger which already has an LED indicator on it then you could re-wire it no?
Also you already have the status on the phone LED itself so do you really need this?

Also true, however the plan gets a bit more advanced at this stage, my pc case has colour changing glow lights underneath it (just led's that output different colours at different voltages) So as well as a desktop one I was looking at modifying my case so the phone sits ontop, charges, and the leds change colour when its charged, pointless I know!
nice thread, but sadly no one here seems to be doing diy docks? ive seen some awesome looking diy docks for the droid.. herghost, are u done with your dock?
just wanna share my recently diy lego dock, hope others can join in the fun

We call this style the DiamondFlex at TPU-Cases, others simply call it the Diamond Pattern. This look amazing on the phone. We didnt make this style for the G2x, but have made them for numerous other phones. I've never seen a TPU case designed like the one you posted, I'm surprised its able to hold its shape with such a large cutout in the corner. I personally would of done 2 holes in that corner instead of 1. Although we ended up just using 1 hole for the power button since only the Korean model has that corner port anyways.

Yes, this hex pattern looks pretty good. This is a reason why I went for this. Moreover, it simply fits 100%. It's pretty easy to put on but it's not loose at all.
I can live with this "TV antenna" cutout though.
Wondering how this compares: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0050ISVW6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=A2HOCXU5SC35JO Obviously this one is solid black, and it doesn't appear to have an antenna cutout.
I just ordered one anyway, hopefully it will work for me.
Will I need different shaped screwdrivers or will a regular (small sized) Phillips & or flat head screwdrivers be all I need?
While I was looking for screens on eBay and Amazon I saw some that came with tools. One of the screwdrivers that came with one of the screens looks like a star so now I'm wondering if there are any star shaped screws holding the screen down that'll need a star shaped screwdriver to open it with.

I hope replacing this screen doesn't end up becoming a huge pain. Will I be okay buying just a screen for $5 or should I pay almost 3 times as much to get the tools?
This is the screen I was originally looking at for $5.55 http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=110787423167
Thanks for your suggestions!
When I got a new flex cable it came with the tools needed. BUT I found that a screwdriver I bought from radio Shack had better fitting tips. I'll try to find a link later today if I can.
Edit: I think what I'm referring to is called; RadioShack® 21-Piece Precision Electronic Driver SetCatalog #: 64-185 *|* Model: 6400185 for $17.49
This should be in Q/A. But that being said. I would spring for the kit that comes with the Tools. Especially if you do not have the correct tools. Yes you are going to need the Star shaped Screwdriver. Not for the Screen itself, but to be able to get to it. Also a few other suggestions. One make sure you watch the Video linked in THIS thread on how to disassemble the Shift. That thread also has pics you should study a bit. Another thing that I cannot stress enough. HAVE A CLEAN WORK AREA TO DO THE REPAIR. It will save you a bunch of headaches. Take your time. Do not try to rush the procedure. Lastly, make sure that the work surface, and you are properly grounded. This will avoid any issues from static discharge. Read, and take your time. It will save you grief later on .
