Summary:
Much more than a simple alarm clock, WakeVoice lets you interact with your phone using your voice:
- Talk to it with custom commands to stop the alarm or activate the snooze option
- Listen to your phone telling you about the weather, news of your choice or a personalized message while staying warm in your bed
_____________________________
Details:
Waking up is not an easy thing for you? You have never found the alarm clock you needed?
Why not try WakeVoice!
WakeVoice can overcome the negative aspect associated to regular alarm clocks, making your morning funnier and less difficult.
The idea is simple: when the alarm rings, you just have to talk to WakeVoice to stop the alarm or activate the reminder.
But that's not all!
Once the ringing stopped, it's your phone's turn to talk to you.
Customizable messages, weather of the day, news of your choice (RSS)... choose what you want to hear.
Add to that all the settings imaginable on a clock (programming various alarms over several days, setting names, volume, times...) and you get WakeVoice, the most innovative alarm clock that you can find on the Android market.
_____________________________
Warning: don't force app2sd with WakeVoice. It's not recommended by Google for an alarm clock app. Furthermore, you'll have issues with Android Market updates.

Hi All,
I'm here to present you a new app that will hit the market within 24-48 hours. Its name? WakeVoice. But, what's so original about it?
Description:
WakeVoice will quickly become your best friend when awakening. In fact, your alarm clock will never be as before. The fun, the joy and the pleasure will seem natural now in early morning. To obtain that, you can rely on many features including the innovative and particularly significant voice features. Indeed, via speech synthesis (tts), your alarm clock will speak to you. It will announce customize message, weather forecast and latest news. Furthermore, due to the enability of voice recognition, you will be able to stop the alarm clock directly from your bed without touching your phone and only by your voice. For instance, saying "STOP" when alarm is ringing will easily stop it. Adding services currently available (weather, news) and many more to come (horoscope, ephemeris, MP3 playlists, radio, calendar, night mode, and others) WakeVoice truly becomes the complete and ultimate alarm clock you lacked. A major addition will remain the high level of customization possible. Whether the number of alarms (unlimited), days of programming, chime, buzzer, the maximum number of snooze and much more, everything is fully customizable by your care! And little more is embodied by the skins and other unlockable bonus in the application via "Easter Egg" or specific actions.

There will be two versions on Android Market. One free and the other one will be at 1.49€. The free one will be the same as the paid one only with "number of use" limitation. Screenshots will be on the first topic in any moment now.
Sounds amazing! The dream is to have an alarm app which reads out a time and a todo list or something like that, maybe with the weather after.
It will certainly coming soon ....
The screenshots have been added

On this day good sir, you made a dream of mine come true.
I need an alarm that throttles me with a heavy object until I'm actually out of the bed entirely. I'm champion of sleepsnoozing. I either ignore the alarm or I just hit Snooze and sleep another 5 minutes.
Current alarm I'm using only lets me snooze so many times, but I still manage to laze through it.. I think I need to put it up on the bed and make it vibrate, maybe that'll get me going.
Interested to see where this one goes, looks interesting...

In the previous beta versions, there were some features for the "champion of sleepsnoozing" and the most difficult persons to wake. Yet, they were removed to focus on the vocal features and data options (News, Weather...). Yet (again), they will be coming back as plugins in the app in a near future
This looks awesome. I am looking forward to checking this out.
This is def.ly an upgrade to most stock alarm clock that's out there. Will be checking the Market within the next 24 hours to see if I can grab. Would love to try it in the morning 08/05/10...
@brandonb81
Thanks brandon
The application is coming in the next few hours....
@jahnile
I hope that you will be waking up with WakeVoice in the morning 08/05/10...
This sounds very interesting!
Looking forward to trying it out!

Thank you for the reply. The reason I was asking for this is because you cannot promote paid apps on XDA unless you have either a free version of provide it to the community as a free resource. Since you do have a free version, I guess that goes out the window
You are going on the Portal, btw
@DaveHTC200
Thank you Dave! It will lands on Android Market (only the free one for the moment) in any minute now.
@egzthunder1
Thank you for your explanation! I wasn't aware of this rule on XDA.
Currently, I have 80 users that are playing with the LITE version. It seems that the app is stable. I will upload it on Market within 30 minutes from now I hope.
Waiting patiently :-D

The users are testing....
If you want to follow what's going on, it's in live here : twitter.com/adnfxmobile
And here it comes !!!! (only LITE VERSION for now)
According to first Market comments, the application works well for french people with french phones. However, it seems like a lot of english phones have force close ... and then so, they give me a bad mark (logical). Any of you have the same issue??
EDIT: I just remove temporarily the application from Market. There is definitively something going on with non french phones. But I am unable to see what! If a few people from XDA (4-5) with american phones are ok to test the LITE application for me. I will give them a free version of the FULL one if it works fine then.
(contact be via mail or PM on XDA)

Hi People,
I recently started writing apps for Android and I'm very curious what you think of my first app.
A little while ago I was eating a candy bar from the vending machine at work, and I was wondering how many minutes I actually had to work in order to be able to pay for that candy bar. At that moment, I came up with the idea to make an money to time converter.
Money Is Time
Features
Money to time conversion
Time to money conversion
User friendly interface by picker wheels
Supports money up to 99,999.99
Supports up to 24 currency signs like; $, £, € and ¥
Supports time up to about year
Supports both 24/7 scale or working hours
Stopwatch mode where time and money are incremented automatically.
Timer mode where time and money are decremented automatically.
Ability to set the wage per hour / day / week / month
Supports both portrait as landscape view.
Wake lock implemented

Thank you very much for your feedback!
Great idea! It would be cool if you could enter weekly or hourly wage information and if you could both swipe numbers to change them as well as tap on the selected numbers to enter them on a keypad.
Thanks for the QR code! makes it so easy to get the app
Thanks people for your feedback and positive comments so far!
At this moment I've received the following feature requests:
- Ability to fill-in weekly or hourly wage information.
- Ability to choose between swipe or just enter the numbers via the keypad.
- Ability to reset both money and time to zero with a button.
- Ability to set custom currencies.
I'm really gonna work on the items listed above and hope to upload an upgrade sometimes soon.
If there are more requests bugs or just sometime you want to share about this app, please let me know. I'm very curious what you think about this app!
@psycho_maniac: You're welcome, I really appreciate it when people want to help me improve my app. Posting a QR code is the least i could do
Really Creative
Wonderful app. I think if you can make the app run on its own according to a particular setting, will be a good idea. Just a thought.
Nice idea for an app
but have a bug. I run a screen density of between 180 and 200 and the app don't like this
screen shot was taken at 200 screen density.
Feature request:
It would be fun if you could set an amount, per hour/day/month/etc, whichever really, and start the timer. While the timer is ticking, you'd see the money wheel ticking live how much you make each second. And even if you exit the app and start it again a couple of hours later, the app remembers the time/date you exited it, reads the current time and adjusts the sum that you've made so far.

Hi
Thanks for finding this bug. It's very strange, because it looks like android can't decide what screen it is LDPI MDPI HDPI.
On which device and android version did you encounter this problem? My emulator with 200 DPI does show the app correctly.
Thanks a lot!

I just checked and everything here worked as it should.
Options for the timer function
I'm currently busy updating my app with most of the requests I've received.
Version 2.0
I've released version 2.0 today and added the following requests:
- Ability to fill-in weekly or hourly wage information.
- Ability to reset both money and time to zero with a button.
- Ability to set custom currencies. (I've added 20 currency signs)
- Ability to run the app on its own.
I've also added a landscape view so it can be viewed in portrait and landscape instead of portrait alone. Besides adding landscape view I've paid extra attention to the layout to support as much resolutions as possible.
I hope you like the new version! Comments, bugs requests are still more than welcome!!
Version 2.1
I've released version 2.1 and added the following requests:
- Ability to fill-in daily or weekly wage information.
- Timer mode where money and time is automatically decremented.
- Support of HD phones and tablets.
Besides releasing the free 2.1 version I've released a paid version which has;
- No advertisements
- Ability to set a notification sound / vibrate when the timer reaches 0.
I hope you like the new versions! Comments, bugs requests are still more than welcome!!
Thanks
:good:You did listen to what we have to say. In my own book, that makes you a good developer. Thanks for the update.

Great news everybody TimeSwipe now supports tablets!
I created TimeSwipe as a simple way to use timers in a new intuitive way!
TimeSwipe is easy, fast and reliable. Now with support on all tablet sizes, at least 7" and 10"
Well what does it do and how does it do it?
You can use it as a countdown timer or as a stopwatch. You swipe the seekbars to set a time and press start, and now you have got your self a countdown timer. If you dont set a time by using the seekbars, it will start as a stopwatch. Simple? yeah I know.
The timers run in a foreground service and the timers is visible in the notification bar. If you would turn off your phone, or the app craches (god forbid). Then everything is stored and ready to proceed like nothing ever happend on your next launch.
Feature list:
- Phone and tablet support
- Countdown timer
- Stopwatch
- Get notifications in your status bar
- See current timers in your status bar
- The new Android design on all devices from version 2.3.3 Gingerbread
You got pro?
If you get the pro version (which is awesome) you can save and reuse timers, this is really sweet and well worth 1$, since you support me and the development.
With pro you can start multiple countdown timers and stopwatches at the same time, save them, name them and reuse them. It's also ad free, phew.
You got a widget?
Nope.
But it would be a cool feature to add in the future.
Get the app
Download free version on Google Play here.
This is a lite version of TimeSwipe limited to 1 timer.
Website
Please tell me what you think about it and possible enhancements. I'm up for everything
I'm working on it constantly but at this point I'm starting to need some feedback.
Hope you'll like it

I would post in the new thread but it's not up yet. I've been using this app for a couple days and it works great, clean simple interface and easy to use. I love it. I would like it if in the notification bar the timers could be separated out and not say "two timers running". Also the ability to name them would be awesome. I'm always having to set multiple timers at work and this works great.

I cant post in that forum yet since havent been member that long. But I'm glad you like it and are using it daily
I have thought about showing two notifications when running but it cant be done unless I start up two foreground services, and that wouldn't be good for battery, if its even possible. I'm gonna try a workaround to this because I see the benefit of this feature.
I'm thinking of two renaming options:
1. The ability to set a name on a timer just like that.
2. The ability to save timers (with name) and get some history, though this solution would only work for count-down timers.
Thank you for your feedback, this keeps me going for a while In the next update it's possible to change to the dark theme, gonna be released tonight.
The new theme looks nice :good:. Is it possible to kill the alarm sound like a regular alarm? For example, you set the alarm time to go off for 30 seconds it'll keep ringing no matter what for 30 seconds, even after unlocking the phone and deleting the alarm. Sometimes the default 3 seconds isnt enough since it doesn't loop, and you're not in the room. Or if its in your pocket and it keeps ringing for a long time.

Yeah I know about your concerns and I have tried to figure out a good solution to this. Unfortunate you cant create a alertdialog like the built in alarm, since it has to be inside the app. (You dont want an alarm dialog to popup during a game) but maybe I could view a alertdialog when the user is in the app. Or add a stop alarm button.

New version
Hi all
I have updated TimeSwipe free with a few fixes.
I removed the guide when you run the app for the first time.
The alarm should work better now and you can cancel it if you set an alarm interval greater then 4 seconds. This is also better explained in settings now.
I also added the option to not view the current timer in the notification since this updates the notification every second it can start blinking when used with other apps. So its now possible to disable that feature.
I also did a big updated of the paid version.
You can now save and rename your timers, and its super easy to access them from the side menu so you can reuse the timers over and over again. The fixes in the free version also applies on the paid version.
Hope you like the updates, and please give me feedback.
Btw, do you guys think there should be the same functionality in the free version as in the paid, but with ads? What is a good practice here?
Great news everyone!
I just added tablet support which will work on 7" and 10" displays. I also fixed the layout for phones, or rather, people with big phones
I realy hope you will enjoy TimeSwipe on your tablet as much as on your phone.
Keep me posted with feature requests or bug reports.
I updated the thread with a cool image on a tablet aswell
I forget things quite easily so I have been using my phone for years to help me remember about certain tasks I need to do. I tried few applications but did not fall in love with any. They are often too complex and require too many steps to create a reminder / note.
Therefore I decided to make my own. I learned the basics of Android development and spent 2 months developing "Simplest Reminder". I was working on and off and only during my free time which was just a few hours a day at most.
Without further delay I present my first android application
It is available for free, with NO ads, in the Play Store:

UPDATE, May 22: I now have a donation version of my application in store. It is located here: Simplest Reminder (Donate)
If you like my application please consider buying the "donate version". Both apps have the same features so buying my app ($ 0.99) is just a way of saying Thank You for my hard work.
UPDATE, October 16 2013: Donate version has just became PRO version with new, exciting features based on user feedback. Simplicity has not been compromised but functionality has been greatly improved.
It is available at the same URL: Simplest Reminder Pro so that anybody who donated to me gets free upgrade. Thanks to the bunch of you who supported me with nice words and especially those who bought my app! I hope you all enjoy the new features
Here is a list of new features in the Pro version:
- Recurring reminders. Choose between daily, weekly, monthly, or annually
- Pop Up dialog. This can be disabled in Settings
- New, analog style Time and Date pickers inspired by Google Calendar's app
- Self-repeating reminders. Reminder will repeat itself every 10 minutes so you don't miss it. This can be disabled or interval can be changed in Settings
- LED light notifications. This can also be disabled in Settings
- Swipe notification away to delete reminder. This can also be disabled in Settings
- Swipe notification away to dismiss recurring reminder
- Help screen
- Improved user interface and performance

UPDATE, October 17: APK for free version uploaded as per user request. This is for people who can't use Google Play for any reason.
UPDATE, October 18: Version 1.8 of the Simplest Reminder Free has been released. I refreshed the looks to be as nice as the look in the Pro version. I updated the screenshots in this thread.
UPDATE, Nov 12 2014: Version 2.1.1 of the Simplest Reminder Free has been released. I fixed bunched of things and added minor improvements such as ability to choose more sounds.
Pro version now has Pop Up dialog option.
UPDATE, Dec 2 2014: Version 2.6.2 of the Simplest Reminder Pro has been released. I added new, analog style Time and Date pickers inspired by Google Calendar's app. They make picking date and time much easier and they look great too! I attached new screenshots.

PM me if you need help
I love this app! :cyclops:
Thank You all for the support. In just one day the number of installations went from 6 to 24! Awesome.
I spent few hours recently trying to find a very frustrating bug in my application that was causing reminders not to go off under certain circumstances.
I found a potential issue, fixed it and pushed updated version 1.2 to the Google Play yesterday.
I really hope that it will permanently fix it! However, if for any reason a reminder doesn't go off for you it would be very helpful if you could provide some details here or PM me (version 1.2 and up only).
Thanks!
EDIT: Just pushed version 1.3 to the market because there still was a bug. Third time a charm... Hope it is gone for good!
Today I pushed 2 updates to the market.
Version 1.4 is meant to put an end to the mysterious bug causing reminders not to go off (I am 100% confident I nailed it this time and it turns out it was not even a bug but rather a missing feature, lol - simply put, the alarms were not set after phone reboot [Android OS removes all alarms on phone reboot])
Version 1.5 introduces new option in the settings panel - now you can decide if screen should be turned on when reminder goes off.
Thanks for sharing your work!
A nice feature would be, if we can decide Yes/no Notification Sound per reminder.
So one is with notification sound as set up in settings, one without because of not beeing so important.

While this is a nice feature, I don't think I will be implementing anything that would add complexity or increase number of taps required to create a reminder. The main goal of my application is being the simplest to use out of all reminder applications in the market.
There are many great applications in the market that have all that complexity and extra features including colors, note priority, sound per reminder, vibration per reminder, repeatable reminders etc. The reason why I don't use those apps is because setting up a reminder takes a minute or so.
I realize that limiting the number of features in my app may turn some users away but at the same time I am confident that it will be appealing to users who expect mobile apps to be simple and intuitive to use.
With all that being said, I really appreciate your feedback and please keep it coming. I may actually build another application based on Simplest Reminder that would have whole bunch of additional features.
Will give it a try! Teamed up with NotifyMe or such, could be very useful indeed.
Nice app, but how hard would it be to add some sort of calender view when picking a date?
So instead of scrolling, you just tap the date/day.
Would that make the app more complex?
can I get an .apk? I don't always have an active internet connection.
Great app, but I'm afraid that U.S. date format does my head in...
looks great!
going to try this on my s 3 i9300 with Paranoid Android 3.00 )
Awesome, just awesome and it looks beautfiul!
Thank you so much!

Can't wake up? Are you turning off your alarm before you're fully awake?
The Tilt Alarm is the perfect alarm clock for anyone that struggles to wake up in the morning. "It's almost like having someone right there to wake you up".
Our goal was to make "snoozing" easier than pulling the battery or force closing the alarm while still making sure the user wakes up. This goal led us to completely re-thinking the concept of snoozing. The current method of snoozing leads to lost time and grogginess in the morning. What we really want in the morning is the music off, and the reassurance that we'll make it out of bed in time.So how did we accomplish this?
When the alarm rings, the user has to tilt their phone almost perfectly vertical for a set amount of time (Tilt Time). The volume will fade as the phone is tilted and once the Tilt Time has been reached the alarm will end. If the user starts falling back to sleep, their hand will fall causing the Tilt Time to reset and the volume to increase.
We suggest starting with the default Tilt Time of 30 seconds if you're able to get a full nights sleep. If you've been up all night working or studying we suggest a longer tilt time such as 45 or even 60 seconds.

My normal alarm app isn't effective as I always go back to sleep. Thank you so much for this!
Awesome work dev
Sent from this toast making Nexus 5, you wish your Nexus could make toast don't you? (;
Clever concept. Will give it a try.
Currently, I am using my kids as my alarm. How? Just using the built in alarm clock on our Android devices. Once the alarm is triggered my 3kids will rush in my room, jump and dance all they can in my bed...the alarm tone is "Gangnam Style" lol. Recently, alarm tone is "Let It Go" from the movie Frozen and you'll hear my daughter singing out loud the song. Anyway...will give it a try, badly need an alarm that will really make me get out of the bed.
It is a very nice idea. I just installed it, I'll see if it works for me.

Nice app and really great concept. But here are some suggestions to take this app to next level.
1. More detailed notification..something along the lines of "Next Tilt Alarm is set for 6:30 AM on Mon 17" OR "Xx hours xx minutes before next tilt alarm" (I like the first version better)
2. Multiple day (S,M,T...etc) alarm rather then me changing time every night.
3. Notification only shows xx hours before alarm is about to go off. (For instance if I set an alarm for 9:00 am and set notification to show up before 10 hours before then the notification will show up at 11:00 pm).
4. Tilt meter (Kinda like air bubble in leveling tool) when the alarm goes off so I know if I'm holding it right. And also a timer that shows how many more secs do I have to hold it.
5. Snooze/End button will show up after holding the phone correctly for xx amounts of secs.
6. Tutorial/Trail run as to how to turn off alarm on before first run/first setup of alarm. (This morning alarm went and I couldn't figure out how to turn off the alarm because I didn't read the description, which is bad on my part and I had to reboot)
@xsirhc6x what do you think?
Hello! let me introduce my app for setting random ringtone for your phone!
Set all your favorite tracks to random. Shuffle everything that shuffles. Personalize your gadget like a pro.
Tired of hearing same tracks everytime people call you? First seconds of alarm clock ringtone are already dreamed in nightmares? RandTune will bring more suddenness into you life. Enjoy
What can RandTune do?
- Create playlist for every day, parties and events.
- Easily switch them when needed.
- Play tracks just in app.
- Set alarm clocks.
- Wake you up with different ringtones and easy mini-game every morning. Alarm tone randomization works only with an in-built alarm clock.
Want more functionality? Tell us about that in review and expect the new patches, because app supporting and improvement is still availiable.
ATTENTION SONY USERS:
Get sure you white-listed RandTune for Stamina mode if you want to use an in-built alarm clock. It may not wake you up in the right time otherwise :c
You can try it from Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tiseddev.randtune
Hope you will enjoy it, thanks for reviews and comments!

I like it idea but I have one question. Does your app warn user when change ringtone? Just when I change ringtone by myself at first time I don`t react on it because I have not habit

in 2015 there are so "many" (sarcasm) phones with 2.3+ around 10-15% so i decided do not support this versions
BUT
if i will get more responses with wish about 2.3+ version, i will do it
1.9.1 version will be available at Google Play soon!

New version
New version of app has added to Google Play !
Will be available soon
Inside you will be found screenshot of RandTune v 2.0
More bumping within 24 hours. I've cleaned the thread of these bumps.
One other note, constantly bumping a thread won't get more people downloading it. It will instead annoy people and make the thread creator seem desperate and unprofessional.
More spamming and I will need to close the thread. And please, read what I've said here. Bumping will make your app less popular, not more. :good:
