As you can see in the attachment, there is no icon for GMail on titanum panel for Windows Mobile 6.5.
However, it displays Hotmail icon for Windows Live and general mail icon for my school e-mail.
Is there a fix for this issue? I would like to see this display GMail icon.
Thanks in advance!
I found the method but I don't know the image size so it looks corrupted.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\cHome\CMessage\Gmail
Then add a string string titled "Image" with value data: \Windows\gmail.png
Does anyone know the image size? I tried 24x24 and 16x16 but the image looks stretched..
GMail
Could anyone help me out? I'm still stuck with this issue...

HTC Homeplugin - How to edit white & grey text for: Home, Weather & Music Tabs?
Prior to posting this message, I have researched extensively on this site and Google for the answer but have not been successful. How can the white and grey text be changed to a different color in the HTC Homeplugin? For example, in the home tab, I am referring to the "carrier" name and "MM/DD/YY". In the weather tab, the white text for the current temperature vs. high= white and low= grey. The music tab initial text is white "Music Player" until you activate the media player and the text changes. I am currently using a white "tsk" and it makes it very hard to read the grey and white. I tried editing the "setup" XML file that is part of the initial HTC Homeplugin 6 tab version (I believe it's the latest one).
Any assistance on finding an answer to this inquiry will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
I have the same question about HTC Home customize (in Wizard forum): how to add more tabs, change categories as I want... but no one answer yet! Could you, the professional, please show to the newbie the way to do...
Up to now, I only can add my app from storage to 1 of 9 block in Laucher tab (by create a shortcut in Program folder) and to tray (by using PHM toy)...

As much I hate to say it, right now there is no option to change the color of the carrier and date. My only suggestion to you would be to use a darker tsk or use HHC to change the background of the home plugin to something darker like the original background. Maybe some day they will come up with a way to change those 2 features but it is not currently available.

As for the Home plugin, you can add up to 6 tabs using the home customizer or schaps advanced configuration tool. You can also pick and choose which tabs you want.
For example>> When you flash the TNT.1437 Rom, the default setup is 5 tabs(home, favorite contacts, weather, launcher, music) but if you don't want the weather, but instead you would rather have the profiles tab, you can easily change that or have all 6 tabs.
As far as the launcher goes, you can only have 9 apps there and I don't think anything is gonna change that. If you need a quick launch solution, take a look at cLaunch. It's free and lets you do the same thing as the home plugin, only not so stylishly. Or if that is not an option for you then use PHM Power Toys and use TrayLaunch and that is just as effective.
Another Option for you would be Wisbar Advance Desktop(sorry, not free). You are able to create multiple pages and flip through them as you please(if you use HTC Home Customizer to unlock the home plugin you will be able to use it with WAD), add shortcuts to the desktop, create full themes for your today screen... etc. It's a really nice app but like I mentioned above, It isn't freeware.
OK! That means there's no way to add more tabs (just home, favorite contacts, weather, launcher, music) and add more block to Launcher either!
In fact I dont need new theme or skin but I'll try Wisbar Advance Desktop 1.3.0.7.

As a long time member of this forum, I must ask you to remove this post. Whether or not you got it for free or not is entire on you but please do not offer warez here. Offering someone Wisbar Advance Desktop for free is still stealing from the author even if you received it for free.
OK, done, man!
I am having difficulty getting custom icons to appear as they should. Here is what I am trying to do and what is happening.
I want to replace the standard icon for Weather Watcher on my Today screen in an Ultimate Launch tab. Currently it is a little fat guy and I want some weather related symbol. So, I downloaded a few weather icons to my PC, edited them to 32 x 32 in Irfanview, saved them as .ico files (I also tried .png files), and e-mailed these to my phone where I saved them on my storage card.
Then, I went into Ultimate Launch, added Weather Watcher to a tab, and tried to set the icon to the newly saved icon. Instead of the properly saved icon appearing, once it got to the phone, the icon that actually appeared was the red Opera logo.
I then tried in Total Commander to change the icon association to Weather Watcher and to delete the icons and start again that way, but now all new downloaded icons appear as the fat little man icon which I was trying to replace. The same thing occurs when I try to create a shortcut to Weather Watcher.
How do I get my icons to appear correctly and not associate with Weather Watcher or Opera?
Is there some software for this, a setting I missed, or something else?
Sorry for the long post. I”m a newbie.
OS: WM 6.1
Device: Samsung Omnia i910 (Verizon)
search for the icon size settings in ultimate launch and set it to 32.
icon size
Thanks. I'll try that, but I am pretty sure that the size already is 32. The Opera and/or WW icons that I do not want are sized the same as the other application icons.
I'm using Taskbar Launcher Beta (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=621624), which replaces what happens when you click on the taskbar at the top of the screen of WIndows Mobile 6.5.
It allows 3 areas that can do 3 things. I'd like 1 of those things to be the standard dropdown bubble thing that you get when you hit the taskbar (theone that shows volume, carrier, notifications, etc).
Anyone happen to know an .exe or something I can put into this program to call the standard pulldown thingie?
Can anyone tell me the correct name for the puldown thing so I know what to google?
Hello!
Ive changed some icons on my start menu from "JWMD Icon Changer" and I would like to reset these to the default icon, can I do this without needing to reinstall my device? (I use a Samsung Omnia Lite, Windows Mobile 6.5).
Please help
FIXED!
Ah, sorry, I fixed it. Just removed the icons and the default ones showed up
Uhmm...
Uhm, now my icons are extremely blurry, looks so ugly. How can I fix this?
Where do add-on apps I install store there shortcut pictures? I have one app who's quicklink picture looks way old and out of place, but I can't seem to find the picture on my phone so I can change it and make it look more modern.
Anyone know?
well, to answer you question, i don't know where they are stored.
but to change them, i use Change Start Menu Icon. works perfectly and does the grunt work for ya.
cheers.
I found the problem. The app is hard coded the start menu icon into it's code somewhere (like exe files on your pc sometimes do).
Anyway, I found where programs point to their start menu icons in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\ProgramName.lnk
This app didn't have a Icon entry like some of the others, so I added one and pointed it to a Icon.png file I had made for it and placed in the same directory the program was installed in.
Powered off the phone and then back on and it's using the new icon.
The only problem I'm having now is making a png file with transparency that works as a start menu icon in sense quicklinks. The icon has it's transparency in the windows start menu and when I click to add a quicklink in the program list. But once added to the homepage quicklinks, the transparency section is visible. I don't understand it. viewing it in the HTC's picture viewer also correctly handles the transparent part.
Anyone have any ideas? Here's three screens showing what I mean. The WM screen, the add-program-to-quicklinks screen and the Sense home screen (running CHT 1.7.1):
BTW, here's the icon image if anyone want to take a look.

delete finch.png file: Application Data\HTC\ProgLauncher\finch.png
Change icon. Add Quicklink!! OK?
There's no finch.png in that directory. There is a program launch file "FinchSync_SP.bmg" in that directory.
The actual program and icon file are stored on my storage card at
\Storage Card\Program Files\FinchSyncSP
album.cache
finch.png
finchconfig.txt
FinchSync_Core.dll
FinchSync_SP.exe
InTheHand.Interop.dll
InTheHand.WindowsMobile.PocketOutlook.dll
syncinfo.txt
The default install of FinchSync has the program's icon hard coded, not a separate icon (png) file. If I delete the finch.png file, after a power cycle it goes back to using the default hard coded icon. Put the icon back and it does as I posted above, showing transparency everywhere except as a Quicklink. I've tried renaming the filename and then changing the reg entry outlined above to the new name and same thing.
FinchSynch is an older WM app, but I use it because I can sync my contacts and calendar with Mozilla Thunderbird, Calendar and Address book. I do not have or use Outlook to sync too, so I use FinchSync for this.
I found it. It's not a png file from that directory, but the bmg file.
So it was Application Data\HTC\ProgLauncher\finch.bmg
Once I deleted that, it picked up the new icon with transparency.
