So everyone, this is the first miui test version for our Desire S. Its a test version and not for daily use.
what works: touch, sdcard, data, sms, gps, flash light, led light and whole miui features like theme manager, music player or gallery everything working...
what not works: Button Lights, Camera, Wifi, Phone, Bluetooth, you tell us..
it would be great, if some devs help us to get fixes for issues.

Scores are high, rom is very smooth on Desire S. We just need some customization and fixes!

sound has worked with miui. i can play music, but phone doesn't work :/

i downloaded your port from miui developers site and it worked just camera and needs translating
edit: go here someone has made a full port but no camera but everything else works http://forums.miuiandroid.com/showthread.php?7823-ROM-MIUI-Desire-S-1.6.24

I guess some developers will join porting MIUI to Desire S when there will be a possibility to unlock S-ON phones. As soon as this will be possible, more people will be able to install custom roms.

i could not find how to setup the weather location for the homescreen widget and the rom does not contain the stock font which i like most, so after 30mins having this on my phone i changed back to stock 10D (EU) which is working fine :-S

It took me a while to work it out, but I clicked on the app in the app drawer and set the weather up from there.
Running fine here but I didn't like the Dark Facebook, Dark Twitter and the Dark Market so I just uninstalled them and put normal ones back on, but other than that I'm quite liking this rom... Might have to have a go at one myself if I could just find enough time to do it...

I installed this by converting the rar into a zip eg. winrar can convert it.

Going back to stock, getting an amazing amount of lag on this rom... just opening rom manager takes ages... Just wondering whether its the sense overlay on Launcher pro thats doing it

This is an old rom from a while ago and is based on 2.2.2 and it is seriously laggy, to be honest I wouldn't advise using this rom, if you're still wanting froyo use Thiaiz's rom thats about the best froyo can get...

This rom is a fake!!!!

hate that launcher. like htc wildfire. remembers me that. i hate wildfire . i had it for at least year, then i gave it to my girl and then stole it from here laggy **** mob. so i wont instal this rom because of launcher yes, it sounds stupid, but just wanted to say

just tried out the rom and I must say its amazing..!
On first boot a've got 248mb..and surprisingly after installing about 30 apps I still have around 111mb left,which is amazing ...

Is the updated kernel this rom has the one with undervolting?

After flashing stuck in green android logo.....I flashed many roms but this one not booting.
I have OSF OLED version with TPT method of GEN2 and partion my memory card based on elitemovil roms.....Is some thing else I have to do???

there is no way. removed from next release.

Absolutely great rom, really excellent, the only problem i've had until now was with market, where some applications like google maps cannot be moved to SD. For the rest, again, great job and thank you for this rom. If you installed a version of the market that works, please tell me the version or the link to download, please.

Patched version to allow moving to SD Card (ends up only using 4Mb of internal memory).
[Google removed the custom rom check in the latest version, but had a few people ask about patching to move to sd, so here it is]

Please note that because I've had to resigned, market updates in the future will fail.
And if you already have chrome installed, you'll have to uninstall before updating to the patched version, as the signatures don't match.

It SHOULD work on any rom where the old chrome beta worked, or any rom where it worked via build.prop modification. Thanks for reporting though, good to get confirmation

Chrome needs opengl support. GB does not have that.

It checks the device build id in build.prop. Mine is stock, because the ROM's build.prop is built from stock. Other roms may use unofficial ones, and thus it won't work

Hence why I made this version Works on any ics rom.

I get aborted installation when installing to DRH-ICS on viewsonic g-tab. Is there a work around?

Fix for the New Update for Non-Stock Roms (Without downloading separate APK):
Open up your build.prop, find the line for ro.build.id and change the value to IML74K. Reboot. Enjoy new Chrome update. =] (Always make sure to back up first!)

What doesn't work? Does the old version work? It only works on phones with hwa, this mod doesn't change that. And if it won't install, you need to uninstall the old version first.

There is no ICS ROM for our device which is really stable, 100% working and energy efficient. So Android 2.3 is still used by some people (like me).

is not 100% functional.3d games with hard graphics are not working.rainbow six have FC and real racing 2 have problems to display image properly(just these two i tried but possible more).read last pages of ICE DS thread were someone said that rom is ported and don't have capabilities like a original rom.so we have to wait HTC rom.

Don't get mad people. You shouldn't care about being ICS or GB, for me, it is just incredible the improvements on development for this device about to be considered outdated from HTC. @Dr.Android nice job keep it up!

you are right.every people have his opinion about a rom which use.personally i use bindroid and it's the best for me but not for others.on others i find stuff who not working for me but work on others phone.this is a forum so we have to appreciate work of every developer who try to make a good rom.

It's so nice to see a Turkish dev on XDA, but still, with Sense 3.5 and v2.3, I don't think it can compete with lowveld's Endymion or Fallout. Still it's awesome to see a Turkish dev, and keep working manA

oh its a great rom. I dont like ICS. I hope Jelly bean come with an Sense version for the desire S. But so long i use this great rom. a big thx to the Dev. pls update the rom if there some bugs^^
