About this Mod:
I've created this ROM mainly for my needs, but now I decided to share it with people like me, who want a single file version of OpenDesire and with the following features added:
* New APN list (works well with Orange Romania)
* MENU button screen wakeup
* Next-Gen CyanogenMod boot animation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euWlggTyQJA)
* Hacked Navigation (Brut Google Maps 4.4.0.4414-brut16)
* Market Enabler

About OpenDesire
OpenDesire was made with made purely for the HTC Desire (obviously by the name DUH!), and is compiled from the most recent AOSP source code available. OpenDesire is NOT a port of any HTC ROM, it is compiled from source purely with the exception of the Google Apps for which the source code is not publicised.
OpenDesire was built with stability and reliability in mind and therefore does not contain any additional applications. Since version 3.x some community maintained repositories have been included in the release.
Requirements:

we all take your word for it and we thank you but this will not be the release we will officially receive as this is still a test version meaning it's a work in progress, although it must be pretty close to release
are bugs fixed from djdroid's rom, such as missing htc wallpapers?

A2SD will require mods to the boot.img, busybox installing and scripts placing in init.d
I don't really want to maintain this ROM and do things like this unless there is enough interest.

How so? /system is read only and not writeable anyway so it doesn't matter regardless, keeping it deodex'd uses less ram which is better imo.

Well, here is a theme, you can say it is abit of MIUI and CM, but more of MIUI with the colour's swapped. The notification bar is 25%++ transparent. Hope you like it Give me feedback too

First Startup instructions:
If you are asked which setup to use, choose setup wizard.
When asked to choose which home replacement you want choose Slidescreen if you want something different and choose Launcher Pro if you would like to be simple.
After this, you should be ready
One more thing, don't wait for your wifi to connect. Turn it off and don't turn it on again. Just use your mobile network if you have one (I DON'T)

Sorry it does not have FM radio, but on the brightside it is based on version 6.02
EDIT: It now has FM radio and is based on CM 6.1

for a while yohshua and i started to work on honeycomb for our phones and for awhile it seamed it would not work but then after getting some tips from bypass i was able to make the rom a new boot.img and we have now got honeycomb on 32b and g1 ^___^

aren't those carrier branded ? (not that i cant remove the branding from them) but besides different radio and some carrier specific apps i don't think there are any differences between libs / apps. i'll run a diff between them to see if i'm right
The huge difference between 1.28 and 1.34 that I've been running for 3 days is battery life, way better on 1.34
I flashed the 1.34 O2 but to my great surprise, no sign of branding at all, neither a splash screen nor a single app !

branded, yes, the other I don't know but I would like to think so. Maybe one should look if bugs are still present in higher RUUs. I.e. I find it really annoying, that I can't start my camcorder over the lockscreen, a function I was really looking forward to (Vodafone DE RUU 1.27.162.1).

battery life is given by combination of radio / ril , 1.34 has newer radio and maybe thats the reason, but keep in mind that if for you is better for other it may be worse. All depends on signal strength and on which carrier is used

i have same ruu version and i can start both camera or camcoder from lockscreen.
and i cant see differences between newer and older ruu only if reported by users, i'm stuck with Vodafone ruu DE.

Currently the ROM won't flash.
Error message.
Amend scripting is no longer supported in CWM and you will need to switch to edify.
Working scripts are on other threads on azetec and mjd ROM threads.
If you confirm the scripts will work I'm happy to test for you.

me too, but can you start a recording right away? When started from lockscreen I have no panel nor working menu-button. This is on two different phones with weather-lockscreen.

I'd say you should be OK to install over the top of it but of course make sure you backup your current stable rom just in case that way if it doesn't work you can recover then try full wipe and install new CM7

I think if you look about half way down you will see a gapps 20120317 signed. I presume that corresponds to the CM 7.2.
