My experiments
I've tried an iPod cable which has the following pin assignment:
4. video
3. ground
2. audio 2
1. audio 1
It didn't work right away.
But when pulled away a bit (so that the contacts shift by one), it worked in mono with audio 2 serving as video. My conclusion was that indeed, seems that galaxy S supposed to have the same pinout as you've described above (BTW: that is also what seems to be the pinout for Nokia cable).
So far though, re-soldering the 4 and 3 pins on my cable didn't seem to work... Haven't found the reason yet.
Buy a standard 3.5mm 4 pin to RCA output cable will do.
The audio-video arrangement could be different, but you can easily sort them out.
Just plug the 3.5mm jack into the phone, active the TV out, set the TV AV input and try the yellow, red and white into the videl(yellow) input terminal.
1 of the cable (might not be yellow) will work. then the remaining 2 will go into the left (white) & right (red) audio input.
My nokia tv out cable works perfectly!!

First: THANK YOU for the information.
I can confirm, this is the RIGHT one:
1 - audio left - white
2 - audio right - red
3 - video - yellow
4 - ground - Shield
This is WRONG (this was the assignment for the cable find in one FOTO-VIDEO store! that I have modified according with pin assignment from above and then it worked!):
1 - audio left - white
2 - audio right - red
3 - ground - Shield
4 - video - yellow

Got my TD a week ago & almost gotten used to the onscreen keyboard, coming off a QWERTY hard button Curve, Treo 680 and Moto Q9h... But still miss the typing speed on hard buttons...

Hi friends, I have and old flytouch II and I would make it like smart TV/android box.
This PAD has an hdmi output but only show movie on TV (when I launch movieplayer I've to press home button and the PAD's screen become black and appear on TV)...
Is possible to make hdmi output the default view or I've to modify hardware inside?

Hi, my TV Box shows the image too moved to left. This problem arose for a hdmi to vga+audio converter (My tv doesn't have hdmi input) and the adjust screen option of the system isn't enough (still has a big black stripe on the right).

I tried to connect my joypad, created by any little company, which I bought for 25 zł (about 5 euros ) to my Tab with cable. It recognises only arrows on my pad, but - in Vice City - any other keys don't work. In menus, I can use arrows and any of sign keys - every of sign keys work as right mouse click. Oh, I forgot - I can also use left analog stick in Vice City. Can I make it works?

Pressing the outer buttons (q,p, backspace...) on my keyboard has a noticable delay to the press being recognized. Upon further testing, it seems like the touch latency is reduced along both sides of the screen.
Does anyone else have the same problem?
No, I use my phone with hdmi/usb hub a Bluetooth dongle mouse and keyboard. It works flawless with moonlight.
1. Maybe the battery of your keyboard is empty
2. you are using a dongle without power delivery or low power
3. Your keyboard is one of these christmas led lighting ones which draws 1kw :-D

I meant the stock built in "keyboard" aka gboard, not a physical keyboard, but thanks anyways.
