HTC Battery Widget - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

Just installed Fresh 3.0b and the htc battery widget is missing. i really dont like batterylife that much, so if anyone can post the htc battery widget or how to install it, as i remember it wasnt just an easy apk install. thanks guys.

I like battery droid by vader. You can configure colors, background, etc. Also can show temp or around 8 other things below the widget.
Here's a screen shot of it.

I was never able to use the HTC battery widget on anything other than Donut.

fresh 1.0.1 had it, along with about 10 other htc widgets i never heard of, and it worked on 2.1 on my hero too.

Just installed and it is working fine for me.
Hope this is what your looking for.

I keep trying to download that file from my evo and it refuses to download..keeps saying I'm out of space when I have a ton of storage left...weird...

Good looking on that official htc battery widget... just installed it on my evo and its all good works perfectly!!

Theres a newer version that's for devices with bigger screens like our evo's.
The version u posted is for hero's.

Here are two screen shots of the HTC battery widget for those who would like to see it.
I have attached the apk to this post for easy downloading.

thanks for the battery droid suggestion, steel.... im loving that widget

Can someone post the apk for the Hi-Res battery widget.

Wow, it has requested just about every permission imaginable I'm scared Or maybe that's the case for the stock HTC widgets? Maybe the developers declare whole permission set just to make their lifes easier assuming no one will see this as hardly anyone will be installing this (instead of getting it preinstalled)?

Thanks, it works great on myTouch 4g

Silly question, how do I install this file? It has a weird extension

In stock HTC Sense, there's an option to download these somewhere in settings or maybe at the top of the widget picker. I can't check because I'm running cm now. But when I first got my Evo I downloaded a bunch of the extra htc widgets and I noticed two things: some of them were crazy huge, like upwards of 10 mb for no noticeable reason. And they all asked for every permission available for no reason.
This is what you get when you deal with Sense.

Yes I checked there but I am running myn's Warm Z 2.2 with sense 2.0. And the widget is not listed on the "Get more". I downloaded the one from this thread, and I get an error "There is a problem parsing the package." "Parse Error". Any ideas? I went to the file using root explorer to install it.

[MOD] Remove Clock, Battery, or Both from Taskbar. HTC Froyo 2.2 Final

While I'm still currently focused on my lowly Hero, you EVO owners (many former Hero owners) have been pretty relentless in contacting me for requesting ports of various mods I've done for the Hero over to the EVO .
Since I don't have an EVO (yet), to date, I've resisted, as the stuff I'm doing for my own phone pretty much takes up most of my free time. Feeling sorry for you poor EVO owners, I've finally given in and decided to port over some of the taskbar mods I've done for the Hero, since this has been highly requested .
This mod "should" work on any deodexed ROM based on the Sprint/HTC Froyo 2.2 final build for the EVO. It modifies your services.jar file, so be patient on initial reboot, as your Dalvik cache will get rebuilt, and as always, nandroid before flashing.
You have SteelH to thank for the "encouragement", testing, and screen caps. With that, I will now return to my regularly subscribed forum...
EDIT: See this post for reverting to stock services.jar file.

Awesome!
Installed no batt and clock zip to OMJ 2.2 deodexed and worked great.
Tried just the clock removal and got an error "bad file" ??
Just an FYI, could be a bad download, will test again later.
Thanks!!

An amazing weather application

Al right, first of all, I am not the developer or want to advertise this commercially, but you really have to check this out. Unfortunately it is not free, but the widget they have is simply perfect.
It's called Palmary Weather version 1.2 is just out and I was following them for a while, because I knew this version comes with widget.
this is a picture of FULL widget, it comes with different options, this is 4x4.
As you can see the below part change with nice information when you tap it.
It has 5 different information bars integrated in one widget which I think it is graphically stunning. I do admit I found the apk through google, and I will see the coming days if the information is accurate. When it is as accurate as it looks, I definately will buy it.
Here some screens from my phone, where you can see the 5 different informations you get in the widget.
you noticed I am a bit enthousiastic about this
Cheers,
Arnold
I agree, that IS beautiful indeed.
I do have one question though, can it detect the correct location via GPS/Cell Tower Info? I adore that functionality in Beautiful Widgets' weather widget.
Looks great! Do you know what weather services it uses ? Just want to know if i can use it in my city.
You can detect "my location" and it works.
I tested Bhubaneswar, it is now 26 degrees celsius there and a few clouds, further a shiny night it says. Correct?

Maybe you have a bigger font installed. Compared to my screens your font seems a bit larger, which means it needs more space. Its only a guess, but try to install another font for a while, just to rule this out...
Also my temperature start a bit higher comparing to your moon sign for some reason. Mine is at 4x4, yours too I think?. I just shouting some possible reasons, I am not sure of course....
I use adw laucher and have set 6 rows and 5 coloums....try that too... I am curious why yours is not showing the whole number....

Fancy Widgets

Havent seen much talk about fancy widgets in a longgggg time so here we go. Its an amazing app, the clock looks just like the sense ui weather/clock. You can use launcher pro plus to get the calender and facebook/twitter widgets and then use this for your clock/weather on stock vanilla android and have all the looks of htc sense but the performance of a stock android.
You cant download the app from the market anymore because of copyright issues, but here is a link to the .apk file. Just copy it over to your sd card, and use astro or another file browsing program to install it. Doesnt require being rooted or anything. You would think more people would be using this being that its free and looks 100000x better than beautiful widgets which you have to pay for. Let me know what you guys think!

Yeah!, i'm thinking it has something to with some of the sense widgets being animated
No issues here...
Just got my phone today, and i noticed the same kind of thing.
I got it around the google search widget. Also visible sometimes around the CNN widget. They dissapear if you remove the widget, but sometimes come back somewhere else.
A kind of pixelated horizontal lines....

Got this problem on power amp, it looks like a gpu fault, usually happens when you overclock it too much, but that's a pc, so i'm not sure what it is ?

I think you guys are speaking of two different issues. The op is saying they are getting this with a screen shot only. Like me. But I confirmed that this happens when taking a screenshot of a lwp.

What you got is not a screenshot issue. From my understanding of your post is that you are having the lines in the widgets, whereas others are getting lines across the screen when taking a screenshot using perma root. And of course the post above yours.
For your issue I would suggest downloading the fastboot app from the market. It'll do an app reboot not a full one so that if you have perma root it'll still be there.
As for the screenshot fuzzyness I had that as well when I first ran the perma root. Have you tried drocap2? I think that and screenshot it is the only two that work somewhat on the sensation.

Some ICS Screen Shots

I'm on ARHD 5.0.1, and here are some screen shots if anyone want to have a look before they flash.
Overall I say wait, don't flash yet. Even thou everything seems to be working, still needs tweaking a bit to be used as a daily driver. If you want to flash, then I recommend mike's ARHD, to me it seems to be smoother and pretty stable.

Have you tried flashing CTDroid's tweaks and Jeff's TraBar (Transparent Taskbar)?

No I didn't flash any tweaks, it's the official ICS launcher. I flashed the apk pack (which can be found on different ROM threads, ARHD for one as it's where i got mine from.) which gives me a few default ICS apps (Music, launcher... )
+1 for the battery % sign, but i've got a app which tell me the battery % on the notification bar
