Can't boot into recovery? - General Questions and Answers

What's up guys. I've got a Moto Droid running Cyanogenmod 6 RC1. It's been working great so far, but I went to a concert earlier tonight and since I left the club, I haven't gotten any network service whatsoever. I tried to restore one of my old roms (Sapphire) but it wouldn't work. I then tried to reboot into recovery, but it basically sat at the Motorola logo until I pulled the battery out. It boots into CM6RC1 fine, but if I try to change it, it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Moto DROID 1 on CM7RC2 can not boot into CWR

Hello all
I recently upgrade to an HTC TBolt but decided to keep my droid for mp3 playing since it has great battery life.
Well I went to download CM7 RC4 and the download always stopped I chalked this up to bad wifi signal no big deal. Downloaded the zip on computer moved it to the SD.
So not I go to boot into CWR and it wont, tried through CM7 reboot menu, rom manager, x + power, power + volume down still nothing.
The phone boots to moto logo site for a bit goes black and back to moto logo for a few seconds or so then goes right to CM7 bootlogo...
Tried a CWR reinstall didnt seem to work. I have not yet tried a downgrade CWR yet though.
Motorola Droid
CyanogenMod 7 RC2
Rom Manager 3.0.0.7
Clockwork Recovery 2.5.0.1
Any help with figuring this out would be great and thank you in advance.
Still can not get this to work, could really use any help anyone have any ideas at all?

Pretty sure I bricked my phone...

So, I rooted last night using Pete's Motorola Root Tools. Worked perfectly, I had root, and was enjoying drocap2 and a few other root apps.
Well, I downloaded Rom Manager (already had Premium) and downloaded Cyanogen Mod 7.1, the only stable release listed for my phone. I downloaded it, and went to install it, and that's when it got stuck at the Motorola logo screen.
I backed up everything - so that shouldn't be a problem. But the phone won't turn on at all. No matter how long I hold down the power button. If I charge the phone the Motorola logo comes on, but it stays on even when I unplug the phone, and then I have to pull the battery.
Any ideas on what I can do?
simply use the available sbf to recover back to working state.
do not use rom manager, it is not fully compatible with d2g. read in the forums how to get CM working on your phone, not all of it works though..

If you haven't SBFed, look at my thread and do steps 9-11 first and see if it fixes the problem.

[HELP] Bootlooping Vortex

I pulled my vortex out of storage the other day to tinker. It was rooted but fully updated stock 2.2.2
When I booted it up, it stayed on the boot animation 20+ minutes, until the battery ran out. I've tried booting it up again but it keeps bootlooping.
I figured I'd just flash a new ROM onto it, but I never put a custom recovery onto it and the only Vortex Recovery I found was this;
http://androidforums.com/getitnowmarketing/330813-all-one-recovery-thread.html
However, it says I need to do on-device commands and stuff to get it working, which obviously isn't an option.
Is there any other way you guys could think to resurrect my old Vortex? My Droid Charge is my phone now, this thing doesn't get much use anymore, but I'd still like to get it back in a usable form.
EDIT: FYI, already tried everything relevant in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1031596
If you flashed stock rom. Try hard reset.
Home+vol down / vol up+ power.
thank you! that button trick did the job!
EDIT:
well, it worked once, but the phone had been uncharged for a while so the battery died, and now i can't get the trick to work again >_<
is there a way to re-flash stock without a custom recovery?

[Q] Fellow Xoomer's I need your help.

I have been working on this all day and I posted earlier but now the situation has changed.
Hardware-Original XOOM Verizon branded, 3G
Never updated to 4G, never rooted, build shows JZ054M.
Last night it went into a rebooting loop out of nowhere. Today I tried flashing it with a .sbf file that matched my build # using RSD Lite.
Now it just sits there and tries to boot up (colored squares).
I can get to the three choices-RSD, Fastboot, and Android Recovery (this last one takes me to a graphic of Andy on his back with an exclamation point and then it reboots itself).
Could someone please aid me in getting my baby back up and running?
I really appreciate it.

My Inspire 4G (randomly?) stopped successfully booting and cannot access bootloader

I have a rooted and bootloader-unlocked Inspire 4G. A few months ago, I had been using the MoKee 4.2.2 ROM for some time, and one day, my phone's screen simply froze. I thought I shouldn't be worried about it, so I pulled the battery off, slapped it back in and tried turning on the phone again. It never got past the MoKee loading screen. I tried charging it, leaving it to boot for hours but nothing.
Next, I tried rebooting into CWMrecovery to try different stable backups I had from some time before that happened. The backups restored successfully, but again, the phone stayed stuck in the loading screen. I tried the same with 4EXT Touch Recovery and wiping all the data before the backup, but still nothing worked.
Since I was too busy at the time to install a new ROM and flash a new boot image, I decided to put the phone away and use my backup Galaxy Ace. Today, a few months after that happened, I tried to boot the phone into bootloader and I can't even achieve that. Holding the volume down rocket and power buttons, the phone still boots normally and stays stuck on the loading screen.
What weirds me out the most is that this was all random--I did not drop the phone or did things to it that could break it.
I feel if I could get into recovery I'd be able to do something else about it.
Any ideas?
Me too
Weird, mine just did the same thing today. Crashed, had to pull battery, now stuck at Mokee. Tried clearing DC, cache, factory reset. No luck.
