Hey all, I recently learned of the GOTO lockscreen for the android platform. I recently tried in on my Droid X and cant get the "disable home screen" icon to work. So essentially every time i press the home key it puts it in the lockscreen.... Really annoying. Anyways has anybody had this same issue and fixed it?
Thanks
i would like to know if anyone has found the answer for this question?
thank you
Hmmm weird. For me it works..
It works fine for me too on my Droid X, and works well on my wife's Droid 2 Global
GOTO Lockscreen Issue
Whenever I install GOTO Lockscreen, which is awesome, I no longer receive 3g. AS soon as I uninstalll it, I get 3g again. Any help?

I have problems trying to get Nexus Torch to work. I just rooted my Nexus one, but for some reason when I try to run Nexus Torch the screen just goes black with "su request" at the top. Not sure why.
Just a thought, on the HTC Hero this was fixed:
Menu > Applications > Development > Tick USB Debugging
It didn't work.
did you install the superuser application...?

Does it give you buttons at the bottom, like "always allow"?
Doesn't this belong in the apps section? I know the nexus forum here is HUGE but WOW.
I fixed it :] just rerooted my N1.
For anyone else, I found that fixing apk uid mismatches solved the problem too.
Nexus One Torch
I was wondering if there is anyway to keep nexus one torch running while launching the camera app? The reason being is because i want to be able to record video with the flash on
I just tested it...if you turn on the torch and then hit home, the light stays on, leaving you free to go about your business with any other app with the flash on. When you are done, go back to N1 torch and turn it off.
Mine goes off everytime I hit home, I tried using the hold down home shortcut to get to camera too and it shut off as soon as the app opened. It may be possible to get the dev of the N1 Torch app to add run in background so that you could do this. I didn't even think about using it with the camcorder but that would be cool.
You may want to check if you have the latest version of Nexus One Torch. The guy updates pretty frequently. A separate question: has anyone had trouble with the LED burning out? Ever? After extended use? My fear is it's not suited for use like this.
my old Blackberry Curve's LED burned out after using the built in camera app to leave the LED on a couple of times.
I was thinkin bout that, but i noticed that motorola launched a torch app for the droid so i figured they thought it wouldnt. Which gave me some confidence in ours.
Ok, I did need to update the app and it does run in the background now even with Camera running, it lights things ok, but not too far, I uploaded 2 videos to youtube real quick to show what it looks like, they're still processing so they should work soon, here's the links.
With Torch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXgKXja486M
Without Torch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diLlQqANUWg
yup that update did the trick. thank you mr. developer
is there any non-root alternative to this, i really dont want to root my 530 dollar phone.
Not yet blueman, but Motorola got one out there for the Droid so I'm sure it's possible for the Nexus also.
Mkay thanks, fingers crossed

I had a similar problem; rerooted without running the Cyanogen mod. After doing so, the N1 Torch app starts, but a message is displayed at the bottom of the screen stating "Cannot access LED device, sorry!"
Although it appears that the phone is rooted correct, I am guessing there was a problem in the process. Multiple reroots have not solved the problem...
...anyone have any clues.

I use widgetlocker for a nice custom lockscreen on my Desire and would like to do the same on the TAB but can't get it to remove the similar Samsung lockscreen - when I press the power button or the device times out, I am greeted with the widgetlocker lockscreen and then the Samsung one is underneath?!
I've sent a mail to the developer but wondered if anyone else was using it and had managed to overcome this somehow...
If I hear more from the developer I'll post it here too.
Had the same issue. First time I chose the root bypass of five second thing, it got rid of the stock lockscreen, but after a reboot it came back reguardless of what I do

Kevin the developer got back to my email. All you need to do is go to Buttons and Inputs and select Easy Wake Mode. I've done that and the Samsung one doesn't come up
LockScreen Doesnt Appear FullScreen
I have purchased and Install WidgetLocker on my Galaxy Tab.
But the lockscreen does not appear in full screen, guess it is shrt of 1 row
Any Idea how to fix it? Attached pic for your reference (Please focus Towards the right side of the screen)
You can take a screenshot of the tab by pressing back + power. That picture is huuuuuuuge.

Sorry just notice the trick to capture a screenshot. By the way any chance to get the problem fixed?
it might be cause by the broken image of the 'bar' inside the apk. so far all the version of widgetlocker i use on my tab did not have this problem.

I have reinstall it but the problem is still there when I used rotary or Sense UI lockscreen. Appreciate some answer.
Is it because I'm using launcherProPlus with my SGT? An my Tab is not rooted, is it because of that?
I have wigetlocker on my tab and looks and works fine. I haven't had any problems with it.

Thought I'm alone. I have got reply from Kevin TeslaCoil mentioning the same. Thanks
Also still having some issues myself. Rooted with z4root and checked easy wake mode but i occasionally get a message saying widgetlocker has been given superuser access and then the stock lockscreen will show up again when i next turn the screen off and on again. It'll be fine then for a couple of hours and then do it again. Hopefully the dev will get to the bottom of this. Might fire him a quick email again.

Just discovered a very annoying bug with this new OTA update. I've had it for about an hour, and everything else has been good except for this.
With the lockscreen, my first shortcut icon (Phone Dialer) suddenly disappeared. I have no clue how to get it back.
When I try to re-assign it as a shortcut, it doesn't appear on the shortcuts menu.
I'm 1,000% positive that I did not erase the dialer icon in the lockscreen edit menu.
Anyways, this is just a heads up for some of you TmoUSA people who just got the OTA update.
And if anybody has any suggestions on how to prevent/fix this, or get back my phone dialer shortcut, I'd really appreciate it.
I got the phone dialer and it did not disappear from lock screen after the update.
I think this may be an isolated incident. But wow none the less. I would suggest a wipe brother.
Wow, that sucks to know that it's just me
Not that I would wish this problem on any of you, just kinda bothers me because I factory-resetted just yesterday
It's not just you. I still have the phone on my first button of the lock screen, but if I go to edit the lockscreen buttons, the first one is now blank, and Phone is not an option in the list of available apps to assign.
As long as I don't change it, it's good...
The EVO 3D had this problem with 2.3.3 at launch. HTC sent out a minor update to fix. Expect a minor update in the near future.
I wonder if I should just install a phone dialer app from the market and see if that can be a workaround.
What do you guys think?

If you save any changes from that screen you'll lose the icon.
Really, yikes. I think I like the 4 I have there now so I'll leave it alone for the time being.
1st - Web
2nd - Phone
3rd - Gmail
4th - Messages
With all these issues I'm seeing I think ima just stick to leedroid or stock rooted. I'm playing around on my myTouch before I sale it.

I just got the update and yes, while I still have the Phone icon on my lockscreen, if I go to the Settings page for the screen the position is blank and "Phone" isn't an option in the list of programs to launch.
It looks like birgertime's work-around may be what you need, until HTC (hopefully) releases a fix for this.
In the mean time, I'm not going to change my lockscreen icons (not that I frequently do anyway).
Not just you. Same thing happened to me. Just got the update today.

i had the same issue, the phone (dialer) missing from menu and lock screen. I downloaded the shortcut from the link above and it worked. Thanx for the shortcut.
I just got the update and I don't have any issues with my lock screen. maybe try to change in your lock screen htc gives us like 6 to choose from 'm using the 1 that shows status updates from facebook and such.
also my wifi is working a lot better I still lose signal when I grip it in landscape mode but it doesn't lose signal completely and I can still use wi-fi even in landscape mode holding it with both hands
The workaround works great! Thanks for the help, everybody.
I was just reading this thread when I noticed that I had the same bug after changing the lockscreen icons. Will flashing a ROM over the update help?
I just got a Razr Maxx and I set up a Smart Action to Launch Pandora when I plug in Headphones.
Since I used this the first time the phone will randomly alternate between the Home Screen and the Google Search Screen in rapid fashion, effectively making the phone useless. While it is doing this it vibrates as it goes between each screen.
I have uninstalled Pandora and tried deleting the Smart Action but it won't let me.
Has anyone ran into this issue? Is this just a lemon phone? I am going to VZ Store after work today to see about getting help for it, but I was hoping there may be an easy fix I can do myself.
Any thought or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
How did you attempt to remove the Smart Action? I had a lot of trouble (similar issues) when I tried implementing them. A great idea, though.
If worst comes to worst, a factory reset will clear you up
Good luck!
I tried by going into the smart action and tried to clear it, tried the menu button (when they work through this spasm) to delete all smart actions (of which there are only two, that one and a Home one to turn up the ringer and use wifi I believe.
I appreciate your suggestion. I am hoping that maybe VZ might have seen this has some kind of fix. I am not sure when ICS will push the VX Maxx but I am told that with that and an update system version from Motorola many bugs should be resolved.
Currently it is not useable as it is now.
Thanks again!

You're welcome, sorry I couldn't be a bit more specific for you. It's entirely possible that the app will see some fixes in the ICS update. As it's their first version (or so) of this, I guess bugs like this do pop up.
May be worth filing a bug report with Motorola on it also, to help others with the same predicament?
Either way, best of luck with a resolution
Hi all. I use the pattern lockscreen on my devices (it happens with any style of lockscreen anyway) and one of the very first apps that I install on my smartphones and tablet is a widget to temporarily disable the lockscreen while at home and whenever else it comes handy to do so. I have used various apps for this but it's 2 years that I use Battery Indicator Pro which is also useful in other ways.
Everything has always worked fine on my Galaxy S (Froyo then Gingerbread), SII (Gingerbread), Note (Gingerbread) and Galaxy Tab 10.1" (Honeycomb) then in January I flashed the Kang ICS on the G.Tab for a few months and more recently I flashed CM9 on my Galaxy S and on both of them when I disable the lockscreen everything seems to work as it should until I tap on any notification in the notification bar. Then my lockscreen appears, I am prompted to unlock it and from then on the lockscreen gets re-enabled until I "re-enable" it via the app I am using and then disable it again. This works until the next time I tap on another notification...
This is not device-specific because I have read about other folks having the same problem on other devices and it's not app-specific because I have tried several apps and widgets with the same exact result. This is something ICS-related.
Please tell me there is a solution for this! On my tablet and my Galaxy S it's extremely annoying but on my Note, my daily driver, it would be unbearable
This is also one of the reasons why I have not yet updated my Note to ICS BTW...
And please don't tell me to "simply" disable it in the settings! LOL
TIA
Hey, I'm having this problem too... have you find any solution for it??? I'm using an app called "Extended controls" which worked pretty fine in GB. I'm a Note owner too btw !!!!!

Nope, no solution other than avoiding tapping on notifications when the lockscreen is disabled...
To enable/disable the lockscreen I am now using the "No Lock Screen" widget (by Futon Redemption) and I have placed one of them on every page so it's at least quick and easy to enable/disable the lockscreen.
I have also discovered that this new behaviour is only triggered by the secure lockscreens (pattern, PIN etc.) but since the least amount of security I am confortable with is the pattern lockscreen that doesn't help me at all...
I can't believe very few people seem to notice, do people actually USE their smartphones?? Or do people just use the unsecure lockscreen on devices where we keep more and more valuable and sentitive personal data??
I think that being able to easily temporarily disable the lockscreen should be one of the very basic operating system features... (as, for example, should be recurrent notifications of missed calls/msgs/etc, another thing for which we have to rely on 3rd party apps...)
Anyone?
I've been having this issue ever since I upgraded to ICS on my galaxy note. I was hoping that the upgrade to JB on my Galaxy Note 2 would fix the issue, but it doesn't.
I used to use a widget on the screen, now I use NFC and NFC Tasker to enable and disable what I call "Home Mode." (wifi, lock screen, volume for ringer, etc).
I know now that it's not a bug for my Note. It's a bug in Android in general. It is really starting to bug me. I'm going to subscribe to this thread because I'm very interested in a solution. It's a pain in the neck
