Is there a way to add more formats to the video camera? By default, it records to a 3gp format and doesn't look very good on a desktop. I would like to shoot in a less comoressed format. Any ideas?

Hey everyone, got my Inspire 4g yesterday and love it. However, whenever I record video it is only in the 3gp format. Is there an option I am missing to have it record in a h.264 format? Any help would be great.
Old Threat but I am in the same situation. I wonder why my HTC Inspire only record Videos in 3GP format?

Find an app that supports recording in another format. There are a few apps that will record and save in different formats. Mind you the stock video player doesnt play all formats
I just transferred the new tron movie onto my wifi zoom but when I go to play it, it skips through the whole movie like 20 to 30 secs at a time. Its mp4 format and I tried playing it in mobo player and the stock player but there's no change. The file plays seamless on my PC until its transferred. Anyone know how to fix this?

I'm interested to know this too. I'm having the same problem.
Your video file is probably not optimized for playback on the Xoom, meaning the encoding/compression might employ features which the Xoom doesn't handle well. see the following FAQ from Motorola:
Motorola XOOM - Optimal video settings
You can transcode your video file in software like Handbrake (free, but technical) or DVD Catalyst (inexpensive, easy-to-use) to play better on your device.
Ok ill give that a try and see how it goes. Hopefully it will workout. Thanks for the help

Convert your video to avi formate and split to as many as you like in window movie maker and by this time you know how to change splited vedio to 3gp too lol

What video format does the G2X support. Right now I converted to 3GPP but when you transfer it to the phone and play it back, it looks really crappy. I'm running Cm7 RC1 and I can't play wmv or avi with the stock video player....any help would be nice. Thanks in advance!

Can anyone tell me a format the stock video player will play that will enable the DTS and 1080p playback? Would a dts rip of a blu-ray in 1080p mp4 format play?
Is there any video player in which we can change resolution of the videos. While playing video in utubemate app there is selection of resoln. And good news is that it plays very smoothly with 2G network. Is there any video player which can plays online video without buffer as in utubemate app.
Thanks
