So I decided to port my theme to the Evo since it doesnt take much from the N1
Thanks and credit goes to:
Stericson - For making so much possible in themeing
Cyaongen - Great ROM's
Enom - For his ROM work
beagz - The HTCIME Ice keyboard, and a few tweaks to help the themes.
armyranger251 - Gtalk .9 for the convo selection
Manup465 - For NexDeep, giving me a few things to borrow (a few buttons, and the signal notifications). And showing me the pattern unlock.
brandenk - a great tutorial that helped get me started in themeing
david1171 - Overall he is a good help, and I kanged his services.jar for 5.0.5.1 and 5.0.5.2 because I don't have time to do it and he already did
Cloverdale - Good themer, smart guy, and helpful
The clock icon comes from VistaAero http://www.vistaico.com/
The camera, settings, usb notification and other app icons come from an icon pack called Summer Collection by Benjigarner (http://benjigarner.deviantart.com/art/Summer-Collection-PNG-65031635), i just modified the color and sometimes details
Most of the ic_menu icons come from an icon pack called Crystal Project (http://www.everaldo.com/crystal/?action=preview#). Some are directly from and some I modified to work with the theme.
I did sometimes use parts of the original icons, or one of the icon packs, or both, in combination to create some of the icons used.
aodpoe - CYANOID for the notification bar, now that I know where it came from.
Disclamer: I am not responsible for any damages you may acquire to your phone,
FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
I'm not making you flash your phone.

Screens:
Blueberry:
Dark Berry:
Dark Cherry:
Note - Screens are a little outdated, also the wallpapers aren't in the themes anymore since I have a bunch included in the ROM, my picasa does host a lot.
Download links:
Take note in CM6 you set the colors for notifications and such in Spare Parts.
For Blueberry/Darkberry the color code for the Clock, Date, and Notifications ticker is ff0da4f1 the rest you can choose white or black depending on your version. Dark Cherry, I use ffbd0000
To keep the post a little more clean, all download links are now on my website
8/31 - BlueBerry and DarkBerry are now up for the Evo CM6.0 Stable
9/9 - Fix for Dark Berry FB widget http://jbthemes.com/Flavored_Ice/DarkBerry-FB-fix.zip

Beta versions for CM 6 RC1 for Blueberry and Dark Berry on the website, Dark Cherry this weekend.
If you bootloop and are running the real RC1, try renaming the file to Blueberry-CM-6.0.0-Supersonic-RC1 or Darkberry-CM-6.0.0-Supersonic-RC1.
To Do 08/04:
I need to update for the new Twitter and Facebook apps
I need to update the theme in GTalk since frf91 changed the selection and its now orange instead of blue.
going 2 try.. im liking the dark berry

I flashed the red one on the cyanogenmod nightly and all I got was a bootloop. Just an FYI. Should this work on froyo?

The Dark Cherry doesnt exist for the Evo yet. Only Blueberry and Dark Berry.
CM6 is Froyo. However, this will NOT work on a nightly, as stated in the OP and the file name it is for RC1. The framework in the nightly builds are modified from RC1, since they have added the ability to change colors in the notification pull down and some other things.
When flashing themes the theme must be compatible with your ROM, being Froyo or CM doesn't matter, it has to be made for that build.
Really nice work, I'm on a nightly CM6 running the Gala S theme, but I love your work. Might have to revert to RC1 and give this a whirl.

Thanks, I've debated putting it in MM so it can be used on the nightly builds, does the Gala theme the Contacts/Phone? I know there are issues on some builds with it killing those 2 if the service isn't stopped first.
I installed the themes for the blue rasberry one but how do I get the wallpape
*Edit* Nevermind I found your picasaweb page...Nice work by thewy and excellent wallpapers to choose from.

Yeah I no longer include wallpapers since I did the new ones in CM6 but there are tons on my picasa page
Beautiful work.
I'm using Fresh ROM right now, might have to give CM a try if the themes are going to be as killer as this.
Any chance the theme will get ported for Fresh or Damaged?

I'd say prob not since I own a Nexus and already port them to the Droid. The Nexus and Evo versions of CM6 are very similar requiring very little rework. Maybe when everything stables out to where I wouldn't have to update every couple weeks.
In the case of ROM's other than CM, I could put up the MetaMorph, but the issue would be you'd still need to modify the colors for the Status Bar, Notification, Clock, Date etc...
wow, i was hoping for awhile that you would port this theme over for us. Its amazing, I love the little details that you changed and made beautiful! Thanks so much!
I installed this earlier today over CM6 and it's a very nice theme. However, I got a lot FC's after I installed it.
I had no choice but to go back to my nandroid backup.
i'll be going back to rc1 to give your blueberry theme a try, since the screen shots look so nice. thanks.

i got stuck in a bootloop twice. i wiped the cache, and dalvik. i don't feel like wiping the data, since i have done that so many times over the past week lol. so for now, ill just restore to the lastest nightly. maybe i'll try your theme again sometime, since it looks nice.

It has to be done from a fresh RC1 which you can't not flash over the nightly builds.
I can't not stress this enough, this WILL NOT work off ANY nightly builds from after RC1's release, the framework has been modified. You WILL bootloop.
Edit: Also for the sake of debugging if you flash it over the actual RC1 and boot loop or get FC's (other than the one's you already get), a logcat would very much help to see what happened.

This is the same Blackbar I had been keeping updated for Enom and Cyan ROMs for a while. I have updated it for Modaco MCR-R17 Froyo.
Includes:
Desire status bar and icons
Transparent power control widget with green highlights
Shiny black popup boxes
Green highlighting on the geniewidget
Maybe some other stuff I don't remember.
To-Do: I just noticed the debug icon on the shade looks stupid. So I will fix the icon tomorrow and put out an update. -DONE
Also going to make the pull down shade more transparent. Not really liking the gray look.
You need the newer version of metamorph to be able to apply this. (xml version)
I have no intention of changing ANYTHING in this morph for any reason. THIS is how *I* want my morph to look. If you don't like something about it, feel free to look elsewhere or change it yourself. I won't be offended.
This version will ONLY work with the newest Modaco ROM posted on 24 June, 2010.

will this work with LeoFroyo 0.35 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=693595 ?

Mine applied 3 times without a hitch. Dunno what would cause that. Possibly a corrupt download?

I still haven't figured out how to get a screenshot on Froyo. My ddms don't work for whatever reason. (Ubuntu 9.10)
The Screens look very similar to the ones found here in the original post.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623985&highlight=smooth+black
The only exception is the coloring and alignment on the geniewidget are better and the power control widget is transparent with green highlights.

wow this is nice. i'm still using froyo with the black notification bar with the gray circle around the clock. guess i have to flash a new froyo ROM, huh? i'm still using the original with cyanogen's rooter. just so lazy to start over!
and once official froyo is released, wont we all have to start over again with flashing the new update?

Yes, once the new updates finally make it to AOSP, there will be all sorts of new ROMs coming out and you will need to pick one that you like. Most likely, I will update this to work with Enom and Cyan once they get their respective ROMs out.
Thats the name of the game though, flash, flash, and flash some more until you get one you really like. It's not like it is hard or time consuming really. It only takes a minute to flash a new ROM and be up and running.

How do out guys save all your info when flashing though? A nand backup doesn't work from a different ROM, right? Always wondered about best way to save info like call log, texts, browser cache, etc.
does trackball notifications with screen-on still work after this mod? Currently i have "the other" black bar out there and the notifications only work with screen-off now..

I have the exact same problem. Latest MCR 17 and now I have white text but the bar color has not changed.
I had the same problem when I tried to do a different theme with an older MCR release.
Does anyone know why might be the cause?

Same problem.
Even did fresh mcr17 install.. same
When I get home from work tonight I will download the various versions of MCR 17 and check them out. I used a 'custom bake' to make it. But I would think the base framework and services would be the same.
As for the question about saving texts and so forth when flashing, I *think* titanium backup and my backup pro both have that option. I don't know since I never save anything when I flash. I try to keep the new ROM as cleaned up as possible for top performance.
Also looking for which versions people are using most. Paul has 4 different versions of R17 posted.
Code:
- r17 with default MoDaCo additions
- r17 with default MoDaCo additions and A2SD -
- r17 with default MoDaCo additions and Chinese input
- r17 without default MoDaCo additions
I'm using r17 without additions and I'm encountering the same reboot issue on step 4.
I am using a custom kitchen version of MCR r17
can't seem to figure out how to get "status_bar_background.png" transparent, .png that show transparent anywhere else won't be transparent when in framework-res...i'm pretty sure i had pulled the transparent from eclair smooth blackbar, but it doesn't remain transparent on froyo...
Stock R17 (no additions,) getting the reboot and white text/white bar.
I had the same problem with white text and white notifications. I just applied step four again and did a reboot now everything is working perfectly. Great work I love how this looks especially the transparent pop up boxes.
This works on the final (probably not, actually) CM6 released on the 28th of August. Good luck.
New Release. See below for updated screens and new download link. I'm dropping the beta tag because I can't really think of much else I want to change. That doesn't mean I'm done, but I might start working on new things. Feel free to continue posting comments, suggestions, problems, etc. New release contains wifi indicators, a much improved battery icon, and maybe some other things. I don't really remember. See the Maps screen for the updated statusbar.
BETA3 Released! See below for updated screens and new download link.
Note: if you don't see updated screens, refresh. There should be a fourth one of the dialer.
Changelog: All I really did was update the dialer. And this isn't done yet.
BETA2 Released! See below for updated screens and new download link.
Note: if you don't see updated screens, refresh. The second one should have maps in the background.
Changelog:
added gps and sync statusbar icons
added new drawable buttons
fixed the old check boxes, they are cleaner now
i forget what else, i just had to retype all this cause it logged me out halfway through. FUN
First off, this is in beta. Meaning I'm happy to help you if it gives you problems, but I might not care enough. This was made and tested on CM6, but should work on any AOSP Froyo ROM. Might work on 2.1, as well, as long as it is AOSP (dunno how many of those exist, people seem to actually LIKE Sense UI, which baffles me).
Been working on this since I got my evo rooted. I started out with just the circular status indicators, something I made for my iPhone years ago, but quickly became more than that (but honestly, not that much more ).
A quick list of things I changed off the top of my head:
Lockscreen Tabs
Lockscreen Clock
Statusbar + Icons
Notification Area
Check Boxes
Radio Buttons
Some other things that started with btn_
Things I have planned to change:
[*]The lockscreen tab circle things (with the lock and phone on them etc)
This isn't going to happen most likely. I kinda like them the way they are.
The data icons. They feel too complicated ATM.
[*]The btn_s are kind of sloppy, I resized them incorrectly.
Fixed in beta2
The rest of the UI (drawable buttons, text boxes, etc.)

Very pasible! Actually, no, I'm not going to make a special one for 2.1. But as I said, you can flash it on an AOSP 2.1 build (as in NOT sense based) and it might work! Good luck!

that's great! i'll be keeping a close eye on updates on this, as i really like the look of it.
one last question, i'm not sure if this applies to you, but, since it's a theme issue, i might as well throw it out there: will using metamorphs to get transparent widgets work on this?
Well, tried to flash it to Fresh 1.0 and it just froze the splash screen.
Guess that answers the 2.1 question.

Well it definitely won't work on Sense 2.1, sorry I should have made this more clear. It probably (almost definitely) will work on any AOSP ROM, 2.2 or 2.1 or whatever (Actually probably only those two).
Sense (and the ilk) based ROMs use a different framework, so even if it booted up you wouldn't see any of the changes I made.
Apologies.

Tonight I posted a small update to the Gala X theme and the Gala X theme alt (coming soon) to Rom Manager (Links also at the bottom). This comes with e few updates listed below. I also wanted to extend out a favor I ask of the android community. Since I am the only developer offering themes through Rom Manager, I though it would be great to see what the community wants to see for their X.
I did this once before with the D1 community and they responded with amazing ideas. To send me ideas, praise, hate (if you must), or just have a question drop me and email at [email protected]. It is coming to the end of our year of hosting so donations would be gladly appreciated to keep Onix and Black Pearl running
Changelog for Gala X 1.5
* Framework was updated to the new 2.3.13, so if you were having trouble with battery life, you should be good now
* BlurPhone.apk was updated to include blue highlights and accents (see screenshot below)
* Stock keyboard was changed to match the theme ALOT better thanks to the suggestion from jdenman03 over at droidxforums.com who deserve a special thanks for their great community! (see screenshot below)
**ALL CREDIT DUE TO MrBobrowitz over at Onix Concepts for this!**

Edit: Just installed and I LOVE it!!
Does this rom support swype? It is 1.5 correct because then Ill get it on rom manager right now
I'd really like if you included themed lockscreen sliders, the stock blur ones are absolutely terrible. Anything, whether it be the ones from stock froyo or from touchwiz would be awesome. Another thing, maybe the messaging notification icon should be a different color? It doesn't make sense to have it black on a black bar, maybe a white or blue version?

Hi jdenman03,
First off I love the theme and will be donating when I get home from work. One quick suggestion and one issue to report.
The suggestion would be to to make a version with Vanilla icons similar to the Gala X Beta Theme, I had been using the beta version up to today because i didnt like the icons but the redone keyboard finally made me switch to 1.5 it was just to sweet
The only issue with 1.5 is that when you get SMS or MMS messages since the update at least for me did not remove the stock messaging, but did add the vanilla messaging app, you now get 2x notifications one from the stock messaging app and one from the vanilla messenger.
Also like others have said if you can get rid of the horrific lock screen you would be my hero

Any Chance of having a version with the Vanilla Icons?
I just flashed 1.5.1 and I lost network connectivity (could make calls, but no data) had to flash a nanodroid back up to get back online. Any one else with this issue?
For the dev the answer button also looks odd on the phone.
Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
Let me just say first and foremost, this theme is awesome. I was using NexTheme for the longest time until I found this through Clockwork Manager (which makes all of our lives that much easier).
What jvward said above about the answer button is the only complaint I have, the answer button looks "smudged" if thats the right word. It's just not squared off so it looks odd.
Besides that, all in all super clean and nicely done bud.
The new black keyboard is sweeetttt

You do not have a deodexed ROM then. You can either deodex yourself or you can just run FlyX. This theme is still a work in progress. I am currently making an animation for it also. The double messaging has been fixed (it now gives you the option to download "mms4tranquility").
If for some reason this does NOT fix your double messaging, in Root Manager go to system/app and delete mms.apk or rename it. This WILL fix your issue!

I'm not the main guy working on this, but I did mention this to him. We will see (I don't know how much work that will be).
Updated to 1.5.2 for all of you that want the green progress bar.

Icons WILL be optional in next release! Stay tuned, but stay current!
I am running the "Blackmodz returns" rom and my only issue is that navigation is not on there. I really need it. Otherwise this rom is perfect for me and I love it
Do any of them include navigation?
Is it just me or letters do look really blurry on black Swype? Would be awesome to have them without that effect please.
This is a stock ROM based on the MattedBlues theme.
I took Preludedrew's stock ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=948566 and ported over jabbawalkee's theme MattedBlues http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=768848
Credits:
Jabbawalkee for his awesome theme
Preludedrew for his stock ROM
Bcnice20 for his OC'd kernels
Beatblaster (maintainer of MattedBlues) for help on the theme
Newkidd for all his help
Anyone else I may have forgotten
What's not working:
Battery isn't animated while charging *fix available - Battery-MOD (see below)
Battery level goes down in increments of 20 *fix available - Battery-MOD (see below)
Landscape changes the bottom dock back to default only while in landscape mode
Bottom dock is mismatched with added work "phone" that shouldn't be there *fixed in version 0.02
I need to edit the xml files to fix the battery issue and so far haven't been successful. Any help on that front would be appreciated, I'm very new to this.
No apps have been removed from the stock ROM thus far but will be on *future* builds. Doesn't include the OC'd kernel but you can get them here: http://www.thebcblends.com/shift/kernels/ thanks bcnice20.
Disclaimer: I'm not responsible to anything that may happen to your phone. Use at your own risk eh.
Version:
v0.01 2/11/2011
Zipaligned, all stock apps included, themed ROM (planning on hopefully fixing battery animation and importing various theme enhancements). Working on the mismatched bottom dock *beatblaster is also working on porting the theme himself.
v0.02 2/11/2011
Fixed bottom dock (thanks newkidd), changed base stock to nfinitefx45's version. Bottom dock icons have changed (original one wasn't lining up to my satisfaction and I like the look of this version better). Will upload original version at some point too with the fixed bottom dock.
2/13/2011 Battery-MOD
Also created a flashable update for those of you that want a fully working battery (Battery-MOD below). This will give you a fully functioning battery icon with animated charging working and battery level numbers 0-100. Keeps the notification bar from the theme now. Noticed 3G icons change back and forth (looking into that).
Make a nandroid just in case. Wipe everything before flashing if coming from a non-stock ROM. I used CWM 2.5 to flash but I believe 3.0 will work as well. After flashing v0.02 then flash the battery-MOD for working battery.
Beatblaster is working on porting the theme.

Hey there I maintain MattedBlues for Jabbawalkee and I was wondering, and I know the answer is most likely yes (right?), but the rosie nav bar in the first screen shot..... you fixed that, right? Cause it's definitely not supposed to look that way. That usually happens when the wrong Rosie.apk is used with the theme. An easy way to fix it is to swap out the PNGs from the more current versions of MattedBlues with an older version, say, from Sense 3.29.
Let me know how I can help! I want to make sure MattedBlues looks perfect on the EVO Shift 4G!
P.S. Jabbawalkee and I have also released the latest Market slightly themed to match as well.
P.S. part 2 - unless the framework for the EVO Shift is different from the EVO we should be able to get the battery going too.
You know, I might just port the theme myself.

It was a good first try that's for sure! Let me see what I can do after work to help this out. I figure I can port the theme and then if I don't have an EVO Shift by time I'm done with that I'll just start another thread with just the theme itself for others to enjoy. I'm really going to try to trade my EVO for a Shift in just a few minutes. Wish me luck!

you might have more luck, but the frameworks dont match. ive tried several things. the xml's will move over but the services.jar are way different.

that's because its a Sense rom and not aosp, it would have to be ported over to Sense in order for it to work. I'll ask a buddy of mine if he could help me port over for you because ive never done it lol.
xsmagical,
The blue looks awesome, about to try it on magnus EOD and see if it works.
I got a question for ya. I'm trying to get the blue honeycomb battery icon from an EOD theme into bdubs25's rom, and trying to figure out how to go about it. I tried to use UOT last night for the first time, but was doing something wrong., Summary wouldn't let me complete. Today, I cant even get UOT page to load, goes to about:blank every time.
just wondering if you had any tips on how to do this easily, using root explorer or something.
Thanks for all your work
The blue theme us alpha still lol but as far as icons go, you would have to use uot kitchen but on off peek hours. That site gets packed. Us it a sense rom or aosp?
