If i take a portrait shot, it uploads it in landscape forcing me to log on with my pc to rotate the pic manually.

I noticed this yesterday. Not cool.
Its just cuz the resolution of the pic is too big for facebook. It happened with my BB Storm back in the days when i would put the resolution all the way up.

The only workaround I know is to crop the photo before uploading. You don't have to make any changes, but the act of cropping seems to fix the orientation issue.

turn your phone sideways in landscape when you take the picture

I take a picture on my NS in portrait mode, hit share and then try uploading to Facebook but the photo gets rotated 90 degrees every time I upload to Facebook.
Anybody else noticed this? Known fix?

Same here.
I have to take the photo in landscape to make it right orientation on FB.
It's very annoying bug.
I think it is related to camera app and the way it is managing orientation info.
When I am on Facebook, and I zoom in on a photo, 98% of the time it jumps itself back to the standard zoom. Sometimes I have to zoom 3 or 4 times on the same photo for it to stick. This is probably completely related to the Facebook app, anyone know a fix though? Other than waiting for an app update

Portrait oriented pictures attached to MMS seem to be received as rotated and stretched back as portrait. These are shots taken by the 8MP camera, normal settings.
Images from the internet are fine. Pics taken in landscape are fine on the other end.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

To be clear, portrait-oriented pics I send via MMS are received in this distorted way.
I have same problem

Mine is doing it too. When pictures are taken it portrait HDR+ the dimensions of the photo are like 3200x2400 or something like that. They are fatties. And when texted they show as fatties. But when uploaded to like FB of G+ they don't distort. It really is the dumbest thing and hopefully will be fixed in a soon to be released update.
Does this only happen when you take pictures in HDR+?

Exactly the same problem with HDR pictures only! Is there any way to notify Google about this bug?
Outside their "product forums", which are a joke, maybe there's a way to file an entry in the Android bug reports?
Anybody have other ideas?
Hangout apps has been updated this morning. MMS pictures are no longer distored...but still rotated.
If I take a pic in landscape mode with stock camera app then swipe to the left to view the image in photos it immediately rotates the view and forces me out of landscape view. If I exit then go back to photos it displays normally this only happens when swiping to photos from the camera. Minor issue but pretty annoying when I want to quickly review a pic I just took. I can't find any obvious settings in camera or photos. Any ideas? Should/can I make it use gallery app for this maybe?
