I trying to write a Xtext project in Eclipse to be able to write a DSL to generate applications that can run on Android, iOS and WP7 simultaneous.
The applications I can build so far can have tabs, get a remote XML file and use the data from that XML file to build a table on a tab. The different tabs can use different XML files and have different views.
I have an XML file with last-minute sales and each sale has its own coordinates specified in that file. I'm trying to build an application using a DSL that has two tabs: one tab in which all sales are shown and one tab that only shows those sales which are close enough to the users device.
I'm having a lot of problems trying to implement the filtering function in my Xtext project.
Has anyone experience with this and is willing to help me? I need to have it done by Sunday evening (Belgium time) and at the rate I'm going, I don't see how to finish it in time!

Good news for me and for the android community, my company decided to replace all blackberry devices by android devices (Normally by 3 model Samsung.)
Of course, this must be done quickly.
We have around 1000 devices to replace.
My question is : How can we create a "master" to industrialize the process ?
One device needs a lot of "tuning". Like applications of course, launch bar shortcut, desktop to personnalise... I guess one device need at least 45 minutes to be ready for the user. This is not really good
We have BES10 has a MDM. But as you know, BES10 can't totally manage Android devices.
Is there a way to clone a device ? With all applications and custom settings ?

My CS918 box uses about £4.70 per year in electricity according to my power usage thing.

Hi, i want to know if its possible to convert an app to not use PARSE as admin panel but host it on my own server... I want to buy an android source code that seam perfect for the app i want to do(as base) but it use parse as admin panel... and i dont want that... i want to host and manage 100% of the app on my own server so if parse shut down my app will be still up and running....

Its possible. The effort needed depends on the below factors
1. If the code that gets/puts/modifies data from/to parse is written in a way that it can be changed easily (ex: if the logic is present at one place example: GetAdminData(), AddAdministrator())
2. If the code that gets/puts/modifies data from/to parse is used everywhere with no proper structure.
For (1) changes will be minimum
For (2) Changes are huge -> need to analyze the current design, upgrade, regress and test
Need to do a complete code inspection & analysis for (2).
Cost & time will bump up for (2) relative to (1)
