I can't find any other posts anywhere online about this but I own a legit store bought copy of gran turismo 2 and I've been trying to play it on psxfordroid, it loads up fine ect the only problem is the on screen keys don't show so I cannot pass the start screen, I have all nesissary files and I've checked settings multiple times but no matter what I do or what ISO I load I have the same problem, does anybody know what this is? It works flawlessly on my gtablet.

I bought it. Runs extremely well honestly. Couldn't see myself playing it for long, but I said 'hey...its $1 and brings back memories...could play this in my spare time"
Requires an add-on pack of like 400MB

Am I the only one that is actually having problems with audio?
I had horrible audio issues as well as accelerometer issues. requested a refund from the play store because the download took more than the 15 min refund time. They refunded it for me already.

My only issues are a little crackling in the audio, but not bad, and my vehicle is always turning to the left when driving. Inn hoping an update will cure the audio, and a reinstall the turning.

Hi all,
I am also having audio issues on GTA 3. Once the game starts, I can't hear a thing. Any patches yet?
Thanks
how do u guys play it with no lag? I play with the display options all the way up but there's lag here and i wonder what I can do to eliminate lag without sacrificing graphics

Bought a while back, get some sound spitting in it and Max Payne (and Skype).
I bought it too.. Was on sale for 99cents along with buncha other apps and games on Google's longest day sale or whatever..
Was really looking forward to playing this (just for nostalgic value) but on my HOS (rooted stock ROM) I dont get any sound at all during gameplay. When the game starts I get the digital pings it makes when you read "Checking ROM Checking RAM" etc. but then it goes completely silent. :crying: Not to mention I installed this game on a two day old phone (had reset it completely 2 days ago)..
Any help will be appreciated!! Thnx
Alright I've tried several sense rom and the sound hasn't worked. Today CM9/AOKP/Miui got a fix for the multi touch issue they have had. I haven't really used GTA since I got it due to these issues. I'm happy to report that GTA3 is working great in AOKP build 40 with the latest boot.img. It's seems much smoother than it was on Sense and the sound is working perfectly

this game runs fine with graphics turned up on max. i do have issues with sound and my ps3 controller set up is weird for the controls on it. hopefully they fix that as well. it use to work good on my other phones just not this one
Is anyone else having trouble with playing emulators while HDMI outing to their TV while playing emulators? I tried some different test cases: Playing a mix of the different *oid emulators just on my phone, while using a ps3 controller, and while using a ps3 controller with the output being displayed on my TV. The only case in which I got unbearable lag and stuttering was when I use outputing to my TV through a monoprice MLH adapter. Everything ran smoothly otherwise. Furthermore I ran Cool Tool in the background to watch my cpu usage and even though it was lagging the cpu usage wasn't spiking or getting very high. Is anyone else having problem with HDMI out? I don't know why this faster phone can't even handle something my slower year old Atrix could
I believe most emulators aren't coded properly for ICS. I gave up on them for now. If you want a little boost, try out the dual core mod.
I have also noticed that emulators don't work as they did pre-ICS. My galaxy s2 running CM7 ran bit64/n64oid much smoother than my HOXL does on Clean Rom 2.6.
This is very infuriating. Using it as my phone as a retro game station used to be one of the biggest things I did with it and now I can't. Which emulators have people tried that don't seem to work that well on ICS? So far I know the oid ones at least don't seem to work too well.

Yea from my understanding a lot of emulator dev was being completed a while back, and then everything was taken off the market. A few new emulators are poping up again but they don't seem to be optimised for ICS or JB. A real shame as I too enjoyed the ol Mario 64 and GoldenEye.

I don't have any trouble with FPse (psx emulator) lagging, but then again it gets updates every week. Gotta have my twisted metal!
Sent from my HTC One XL using Tapatalk 2
How many pages back did you have to go to find this thread lol. But really since then I've found on most emulators the games are actually playing at full fps just fine, it's the audio that is lagging which makes playing them unbearable. On all of the oid's I was able to get no slow downs in video just fine. It's just the audio that sounds like crap. The DAC on these phones just seems to really suck.
Download the slideme market, and search "yongzh"

The latest update to fpse made everything silky smooth and perfect audio. Runs at 160 fps so I had to use framelimiter in the app settings so everything wasn't running so fast lol

That's what I'm wondering. I have been trying to play FF9 for ages and just can't get it to run smoothly since he started trying to use opengl (started back on my Atrix) and just gave up. I tried again today and still no good.
I don't use opengl on mine. Although it makes a few things look prettier it messes up a lot of the effects in twisted metal, mainly smoke and water. For now I'm content with the default render settings.
Ah yeah well even my Atrix can do full speed software rendering with fpse. It looks so bad though especially the ff games which looked so good.

Hi all there is a new gameboy advance emulator My Boy!
It's not a ripoff but a new developer been testing it and it's quite nice I prefer it over gameboid.
FREE VERSION
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDEsImNvbS5mYXN0ZW11bGF0b3IuZ2JhZnJlZSJd
PAYED VERSION
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...GwsMSwxLDEwMiwiY29tLmZhc3RlbXVsYXRvci5nYmEiXQ..
Features
My Boy! is a super fast emulator to run GameBoy Advance games on the broadest range of Android devices, from very low-end phones to modern tablets. It does more than just emulating the full system. Thanks to the save state system, you can save progress at any time and return back to it instantly. And while enabling fast-forward in game, you can quickly skip the long boring intros/dialogs in RPGs.
• Fastest emulation. Easily get to 60 FPS without frame skips on medium-end devices.
• Excellent game compatibility. Run 90%~95% of games without a problem.
• Fast and complete video emulation (alpha blending, fading, mosaic, etc)
• High-level BIOS emulation. No BIOS file needed.
• IPS ROM patching
• OpenGL rendering backend, as well as normal rendering on devices without a GPU.
• Fast-forward to skip long stories, as well as slow down games to get past a level you cannot in normal speed.
• Save games at any time with screenshot
• Configurable on-screen keypad (multi-touch requires Android 2.0 or later)
• External controllers support, through either the Android native way or input method.
• Well-designed user interface. Seamlessly integrated with the latest Android.
• Create and switch to different key mapping profiles.
• Create shortcuts to easily launch your favorite games from your desktop.
No games are included with this app and you need to obtain yours in a legal way. Place them onto your SD card, and browse to them from within the app.
Going to try this now. Here's hoping its good. I've been using Gameboid as it remains the best out there for now.
VGBA has good compatibility but the UI sucks and is battery heavy.
GBA.emu you would expect to be good but performs very poorly on the PLAY. You get lag every 10-15s with frameskip on, and slow as hell/unplayable with frameskip off.
Edit: Looks and feels suspiciously similar to Gameboid but with a couple of added options and tweaks. Wouldn't surprise me at all if it was the same dev behind it, just under different name
I'd say its good enough to replace my Gameboid install. Also, changing the rendering back-end to Canvas disables the horrible linear effect used on most emulators.
As good as it is..$4.99 seems steep for an emulator..especially considering all you get are save states and up to16x fast forward...ill stick with gameboid for nownow

I agree. Its certainly not cheap by any means but it is at least cheaper than the other comparable alternatives (GBA.emu - $5.50, VGBA - $6.30). Its also good that they offer up a free alternative, albeit with less features. Its a tough sell up against the quality (and free) Gameboid app but I think if they continue with regular updates and as a result make it more compatible/better performance than Gameboid, then it becomes worth it.
I would buy it, but i dont have credit card.

Sorry for my bad English. It's not my native language.
I use a 3V card for internet purchases. A disposable Visa basically. Only works online but there are other cards (Swirl card) that you can use in shops, ATM's etc
If this gets Wifi/Bluetooth multiplayer capabilities, then I could consider buying it, in the meantime, Gameboid is my election.

Probably won't be compatible with other out-of-game save states, since all devs implement them in their own way. It supports most in-game save formats.

Update v1.1.0 has been released. The dev seems to have took mine and other peoples suggestions regarding linear filtering. Cheats have now also been added.
Changelog:
* Added cheats support (GameShark/ActionReplay/CodeBreaker)
* Added option "linear filtering" for OpenGL (was forced in previous versions)
* Fixed game reset on certain devices when pressing the POWER button, or getting an incoming call.
I'm puzzled by a detail. MyBoy most definitely has code from Nesoid and similars. Same overlay, same controls. Since Nesoid is GPL-licensed, I think that the code should be released. Anyway, I use it because GameBoid doesn't support touch
controls fully, and it just works. Good job, just take care of compliance.

Do you have any proof of this? not berating you, just curious as to if there is any substance to your claim? Overlay could be explained in that the developer was influenced by an app rather than copied/took code from it.
Anyway, the developer claims to be the core developer of the app so unless this is proven otherwise, in which case you should contact him to challenge him on it, then he doesn't have to release any code.
Not only does the overlay look equal, the configuration options for the controller are almost identical, even their order. Either the dev took code from the open-sourced version, or the dev duplicated every single detail.
Onlive just relaunched it's service's with improvements, new features like the new cloudlift service which enables you to upload digitally owned PC (e.g Steam) games to onlive to stream and best of all MORE ONLIVE GAMES.
Read all about it here - http://www.gamespot.com/articles/cloud-gaming-company-onlive-returns-in-a-big-way/1100-6418122/
It appears that Onlive have updated the android app and now only Supports 4.0+. BUT if still have the last 2.3 supported apk with Xperia Play Optimized controls it still works. As it's a cloud service all the new features are on Onlive end
When get to my PC at some point I will update this with some more info
Awesome. Thanks or sharing poo-tang! :good:
