I have some error : 'Http://handle.accuweather.com/widget/hadle/weather-data.asp?location=EZ003&metric=1 couldn't be opened

What to hell is this for error ? Is any Titanium Weather which works ?

I have the same problem. It seems we are all using an account call hadle and i think if is used to mach they block it. It would be easy to fix it if you could use your own account or use another one that still works example :

Unfortunately it seems as this address is hardcoded and can not be change either from the menu or the registry itself.
Hope this help and it can be fix on future release.
Ok I found where to change the address look for the file TitaniumWeather.mscr and change hadle for your own account like the one from my example rdona

Doesn't work anymore. The change have to be on the source, beacuse is harcode, there is no settings changeable.

There is another way. I use Home Screen Customizer. The developer of this simple app has posted his work on here but the app itself is available free through Marketplace.
Basically you can remove items from your Titanium list using the app but it also allows you to add some items too. One of them is Weather, another is a handy apps bar.
Works great for me on 6.5.

hey jowi i hope you read this. i only just figured this one out.
1. open file explorer and find 'c:\program files\titaniumweather\titaniumweather.mscr'
2. open with a programme such as notepad.exe
3. FIND this line "link=ReadFile("h ttp://hadle.accu-weather.com/widget/hadle/weather..."
4. REPLACE 'hadle' with 'rdona' in 2 places. the line should then read "h ttp://rdona.accu-weather.com/widget/rdona/weather..."
5. SAVE.
6. Update from TitaniumWeather settings.
this fix basically changes to another registered username with accu-weather. perhaps hadle's account got closed.

Google Maps 4 on HD2

Hi,
Just a small tips to get the last google maps on HTC HD2.
I'm using official HTC HD2 rom (1.66.406.1) but I think that should work on all versions.
Cleaning part :
Remove \Program File\GoogleMaps folder
remove \Application Data\GoogleMaps folder too
Install part :
get the "last" google maps there : google.com/gmm/GoogleMaps.CAB (or there google.com/mobile/maps/ )
Or get the v4.1 with voice support in MykeChester post (thanks to him) there : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6274597&postcount=37
then install it on main memory of course (otherwise some apps won't be able to find GMaps anymore like compass, footprints,etc)
and voila.
You have the last google maps on your HD2 and saved a little space by cleaning.

Tried to download it to my Tmobile UK 1.72 ROM phone and was told it wouldn`t work on my HD2. So downloaded the CAB to my PC bluetoothed it across and installed it anyway and it works perfectly. Don`t know what Google are on about.

Wow - just followed the instructions and installed it on latest (8th July) NRG Maxsense ROM and its much better than the original Google Maps App.

Don't understand this thread. I have 4.1 on my phone, but when I go to m.google.com/maps it offers me 4.0.0.

for some reason, on Opera, google detect the phone as M850, so it didn't work. but it work fine with IE.

i've been doing this for a while now and Google Maps has been working well.
unfortunately i came across that this method of saving space also breaks the Digital Compass' "choose destination" function (to indicate the heading and distance of your destination)
has anyone found out how to preserve this?

Tried clearing both folders and reinstalling. Still 4.0 gets installed. I'm on stock rom... pls help..

I use an app called Omarket it is basically Windows market place (FREE). got google maps 4.1 off of it and it works great. TMO-US HTC HD2 (Stock ROM)

Thanx a lot for the ROM. Everything works great and smooth. But the market doesn't show all apps, even the one i payed for. So i made an update zip with fixed built.prop to unlock the market. The zip is not signed, so disable sign verification.

About the italian traslation, any compiled zip?

Most of it is translated, you will be hard pressed to find none translated text (except for the alternative store)

I have no idea

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but my keyboard is still chinese... So i just re-added LatinIME and etc and removed Pinyin, seemed to do the trick for me. Other then that this Rom worked flawlessly

yeah for some reason the rom will and up in a boot loop (first boot only) when LatinIME is in the rom instead of Pinyin, personally I use Swype
BTW you can switch to Latin chars via a button on the keyboard

How much minutes this ROM to start up on the first boot? I got so many looping right now

It shouldn't take long to boot..... try wiping your cache and data and rebooting

tis a good rom. only bad thing i can see so far is the dialler. if you type in names it doesnt work =[

I am testing it right now. Currently everything is working cool and i will keep it on my desire if there will be no problems (i only had problem with marketfix version: bootloop).

CyanogenCricket

I had created a custom Cyanogenmod Rom for Cricket based on Cynaogenmod 6.1 RC1. It includes full support for Cricket Android Plan but will also work with lower plans as long as properer proxy is installed. It supports mms and all features and it had been fully tested to work will all other providers. All features work as intended. It uses mixture of darkfroyo and Monochrome for nexus one.

Cricket Wireless runs on Sprint network and provides unlimed service for low fee.
Android plan is 55 a month with all you can eat.

The link is fine I have no problem downloading it. File is fine if you getting error installing it is because you had never used cyanogenmod. First time I tried to install cyanogenmod i assumed there was problem with files but is version of hboot. So please follow howto.

Actually the issue is trying to still download. When I click on start download another window opens the download does not start? I'm using evo fyi.

I actually used all my previous cricket settings, have not tried mms yet.
Edit : mms does not seem to work? I may need that mms.apk

You need to use install included apns file using apnbackuprestore the wipe devik and cache and reboot and mms will work . Mms.ap for criket is included in rom.

Netease Music - Unofficial English Translation

Ok, so Netease caught on to everything, and put a stop to all of our shenanigans. None of this would be a problem if they just released an english version. I doubt that will happen anytime soon though.

Fildo.net is probably the best alternative. They have a decent android app, and it uses the music from Netease, I believe. Check it out!
But I mean, in the event that you are a stubborn bastard and refuse to quite Netease, there might be a way to get around their block. The following was taken from a comment on page 15 by ItsJono. Good luck!

From what I understand, the NetEase translation development was forked into two different projects, the one here is for NON-ROOT people who do not have access to root/xposed installer. This uses a modified APK with modified files that NetEase has begun detection for tampering. The second version, is the one for ROOT/Xposed which i'm installing now. The Xposed version is better since it translates the file on the fly in memory versus having a pre-modified APK so that NetEase can update itself and not break translation.
Edit: Okay, the Xposed version of NetEase + Translation Xposed Module + English translation = Works again!

I'll give a quick overview of what I did to help those who want a clearer, native English description of how to do it. The first link was very helpful with it having been translated from Spanish, and while the English was good, it was clear it wasn't their first language and I want to help those who might be a little iffy as to what the process is:

Q: Why install Xposed version of NetEase, versus the pre-translated APK located in this thread?
A: The pre-translated APK of NetEase offered by @omarchavez/XDA: omare.chavez is great for users who do NOT have root access on their device. However, it is prone to "breaking" from NetEase's hash check of APK from what my Android developer friend explains as a possibility. The Xposed version allows you to have the latest official NetEase APK installed without having to wait for an updated APK to show up. Xposed version also allows quick corrections in typos in the translation files, whereas it would require a rebuild of the translated APK, of which, the primary developers are Spanish and English translation is not their primary concern.
Q: I don't have root access, which version should I download?
A: The version you should download is the one offered by @omarchavez / XDA: omare.chavez. Download and install Telegram from Google Play Store and use your phone to visit this address: https://telegram.me/neteaseES , then subscribe to his channel so you can receive the latest developments and download the latest APK version of pre-translated NetEase.

Reboot device and load up NetEase, the app should have some text translated in your language that you downloaded. Images cannot be translated as they would require modification of the .APK contents and would fail the hash check when NetEase checks for modification.

Q: Why should I register an account?
A: You can use NetEase as a Guest but miss out features by not having an account. Having an account allows you to have unlimited 320KB/s quality MP3 song downloads, save your favorite songs, create playlists, etc. I would definitely recommend it. It's also not very hard and is a very simple process.

Yes it was every time I opened the app. I am now using the one that is in the link I provided and I do not have that problem anymore. Hopefully this version gets that fixed as well.

I recommend you to stay with this one as the translation is a lot better.
Right now, to FIX the update notification (might also be implemented by OP in the next version) you need a rooted device and a root browser app.
Goto data/data/com.netease.cloudmusic/shared_prefs/UpdateInfo.xml
I THINK the integer value versionCode is used for the update check (versionCode < serverVersion) - simply increase the value to a lot higher one, I used 99 - no update notification on startup.
With this, I didn't have a notification since 24h, I guess that's a fix for it.
EDIT: got an update notification after 48h.

Haha. I was going to say, wow, that is a clever way of fixing it. I'll relay this info over to the guy working on it and see what we can do. No promises though.

Just a quick update - we are waiting for a new version of apktool to be released that apparently should fix the problem we are running into. Once this is released, we'll hopefully be able to update it.

Antivirus programs are stupid. I guess CM security doesn't like the permissions that the app requires, but personally I don't think this contains a trojan, it's a really huge company in China.
(Allthough you can never be sure, in the past, there were several reports of highly popular smartphones on the chinese market that contained maleware by default)
