First of all let me say that i still learning all these android-related SW components so forgive me for saying some ... wrong things
Second, let me thank everyone at XDA.. This forum ROCKS =)
That said, maybe you could help me clarify some questions...
I have a HTC Magic 32A with these specs:

My device is rooted, it has AmonRA-1.7.0 and CM-5.0.7 (right now upgrading to 5.0.8).
My question is, what *Updated* HBOOT and RADIO should i use? What are the advantages?
I think of hboot as something like a BIOS software and radio as an internal firmware for hardware components. Am i right? If i am, than it should be better to keep them up to date!
Could anyone please advice me on this? What versions should i use and where can i get them? =)

I belive you can only use the radio that you have for the mytouch 32a, i am not sure about the rest, I own a 32b, but i would use CM-6.0.0-DS-RC-1, it is way better than any of the CM-5.x.x, and its faster also.

They are pretty busy here with doing magical things of wonder for the HTC Magic, so for these sorts of questions, try a local resource first: http://www.swedroid.se

ok.I own a "unbranded" htc g2 and I want to flash a hero rom in it.
But Every hero rom I find in this great forum can't work:it can can go
into fastboot mode I can flash rom but when reboot i,it just stay
at the "htc magic" local screen.It really tricky for me(maybe).
For now I am using the"daldroid-htcmagic1-signed rom" find from this
forum.
I hope someone with a kind heart and clever brain can help me.

Try this from Haykuro
use either http://bit.ly/Ilcwr (for non-htc branded magic) or http://bit.ly/xcx6Y (this is for newer devices, or htc branded magic)

然后就flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=531837 入面ge Hero rom(有需要backup就backup左再wipe然后update 無需要backup就直接wipe然后update)(安全起見我就backup左)update完restart就ok!

You need to get a version for 32A motherboard. Search the forum.

Ive been trying to figure out how to flash a new rom on my girlsfriends HTC Magic. Im thinking Super F 1.0. however I get so confused when reading all the different post on this forum. Could someone break down the exact procedure of how I should do this. This is what I got so far

This is not developement issue go to general and find some posts how to root you magic with that radio and spl combo
