Since I am testing ANDROID on my SPRINT TP2, the SIM CARD needs to be removed. when you remove it, the WM side shows the icon that the SIM CARD is out and it covers up the signal strength. Is there a way to turn off this icon so I can see the signal strength (but later turn it back on if I want)??

I have an Alcatel One Touch Star (6010d) , a dual SIM phone. IN the status bar I have 2 signal strenght icons: 1 for the first SIM and one for the second SIM. But I never use a second sim, so I am looking for a long time how to remove the second signal strength icon (sim2 icon) from the status bar. Is there anyone who knows which line I have to edit?

My wife has this phone too, we just bought it for her, but it looks like you can not disable the second SIM which in our case will not be used.
So we have a dual sim phone, but only use one sim. It is annoying to keep seeing the SIM2 status icon which says you have no sim card inserted.
Can it be disabled?

I just unlocked my phone, and now I have no signal and no service. The little "x" that sits near the signal bar IS NOT present, but I have no signal bars. My phone picks up my SIM card and APN settings correctly.
If I go to search for networks, it tells me that there was an error.
Is IMEI full of random characters or 0's?
I have new OPO, with CM11 (was colorOS).
When i plugin sim card indicator dosn't show network range. After restrat indicator show full range.
When i take out sim indicato still show full range. And next restart and show correct (empty).
When i turn on network operator searching nothing...still searching.
Hello! I'm in search of a signal manipulation app, if one even exists.
Why? I don't have a sim card in my phone, so I'd like to have the signal bars show me a "placebo" cellular signal strength. Is this possible to do without masking the icon?
I know that phones that have the status-bar demo mode shows the cellular signal as full/or sometimes empty, so is it possible to have an app control what signal icon is shown on it's own, so that I don't have to see the "No SIM" icon or an empty signal?
(NOTE: I have disabled the "No SIM" icon under System UI Tuner, but it doesn't feel right without cellular signal bars being there.)
I have put a new sim card of different mobile phone carrier. It was working well in the former but this one shows roaming icon all the time. Tried to remove it by turning off, but still reappear. Pls help
