Application List Exporter? - Android Apps and Games

Looking for an app that does ONE thing only:
Export a list of currently installed apps to a file.
Yea, I am too lazy to write down my list of installed apps.
Hopefully, someone has seen such an app.

I believe appbrain has such a utility

[Q] Gamefaqs Offline Reader APK

Hello,
Recently the "Gamefaqs Offline Reader" was updated to v2.0. I could only find v1.1 on the web (handango) which is very out of date. I can't find it on the market, Fast Web Install is still broken on every Wildfire ROM I've tried, and the so-called Patched Markets seem useless on CM7-RC1.
The author of the app hasn't updated his blog in a long time, and has not sent an email to those who asked even though he said he would....
If someone could fetch the APK and share it, I would be SO grateful!

I just checked the market and the app is on there.

I already knew that, its on AndroLib and AppBrain but as I said Fast Web Installer is still broken as are the Patched Markets, region faking has no effect, so the problem is that the developer is too lazy to add the MDPI-compatible flag (or whatever) thus I can't see it at all.

Nevermind, solved it via the Android SDK Emulator method. Thanks anyway.

App to check for app updates?

I used to use app updater notifier to check whether I have updates for my app I have installed. However it has been removed from the market and doesn't work anymore.
So is there an app that does this? We all have gotten apks from different places and its not easy keeping them up to date. Using app updater notifier made it easier.
I wonder if google have removed all of the apps like this...

So you're asking how to keep track of updates for your pirated / downloaded from other places, apps ? The market does a good job at it...
aTrackDog tracks apps
I second ATrackDog, that's what I've always used.
Never heard of atrackdog! Works a treat!

Could be so, or it could be non market apps like n64oid

Hmm, I have an app update but doesn't show in atrackdog...
I turn off the track from market it shows the updates BUT says I have updates that show the lower versions of my apps as 'new'.
aTrackDog is old and stupid.
Use AppBrain.
You can try appbrain , it looks for update also but this is only a feature , the main thing about this app is another .
http://www.appbrain.com/
You can easily perform a check-in with the dial pad. That will let you know if there are updates.
Just type the number that the letter is on:
*#*#2432546#*#* (I think that's the way to type checkin with the numbers, not looking at a dial pad)
It's better than using an app that takes up resources, and it's very quick.
Hope this helps

[Q] Viewing app permissions - all at once

Hi,
Does anybody know of an app that can show me a report-like interface of permissions being used by all applications? And a way to restrict them, after they have been installed?
I think this is what you want, it is called "S2 Permission Checker" and it lists all the permissions of all the apps installed on your phone.
Hasn't got very nice reviews, though. Comments say it makes mistakes, and I can't stop an app if it's doing something illegal - from the same app that is.
Well I used for a while and everything was ok. Anyway you can install it see all the permissions you want to see and then remove it.

[Q] list of installed apps and games

Hi, I am going to flash the new DFT freedom ROM later today to my HTC Mozart. is there an app that allows me to list all currently installed apps and games so i can easily search them later? the Zune purchase history doesn't really help as i don't have most of these apps installed anymore.
regards

I agree... such thing would really be useful. I also need such a thing also for my ipad!
I bump this question to know if TODAY something similar would exist ...
So : is there any app than can list all currently installed app on the device ?
There is an app called "reinstaller" in the marketplace. It however does not list installed application but a list of all apps ever "purchased".

Click to collapse
And the worst thing it that this app lists also all the times you updated an application...

Stop apps from autolaunch

I have like couple of apps like skyri that even when i close it with task manager it autolauch a second after, is there any way to stop these apps from autolaunch so i can start them manually.......... im using cm7.1.0.......thanks in advance

Yes, there is. Uninstall them. Or learn how Android works, and what's the difference between apps and services, and don't log in to services that are running constantly by design. And stop using task manager.
From Nexus One forum:

So task manager.is not good and.what about thsmese apps ir services running contansly , soery but im new to android

Please read the thread I've pointed you to.
Apps that have services - need those services. How exactly do you expect Skype to react to incoming calls, if it's not running? And if you don't want it running for some reason - log out of it.
If you see something and don't know why it's this way - don't touch it until you know.
Yeah i get what u mean , let say like this app skyri, how would u know if it use services or not????

Read the app description.
If it is something that needs to be running constantly - like wallpaper, messenger, something that syncs with internet, widget with changing data, or anything like it - then it needs.
If it doesn't - then it doesn't.
If you think it doesn't and it does - either leave it as is or uninstall.
Cool i get it thanks for the help
