Change to default Dialer in ADWLauncher - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

I dont like the boring grey-ish design UI of the Dialer of ADWLauncher, therefore can I ask if there is any way that I can change it back to the default blue dialer of Sony Ericsson and still using ADWLauncher. Any help would be great, thank you very much for any help

Yes just open app drawer, long press on the dialer and drag it down to the ADW Launcher where the phone is and it will replace it as the default dialer.

Oh yeah ur a genius, thank you so much:x

Question about adw launcher

How do I add more app shortcuts in the box at the bottom of the screen, by default there is only 3 spaces, how do you add more?
Thanx

go to ADW settings and UI Settings.
Disable DESKTOP DOTS and select SECONDARY ACTION BUTTONS.
That should do the trick
Or you can swipe the app drawer button up to reveal the dock bar.. You can add as many apps as you want to that.

Thanks for the help

how do you get the dock draw back? EDIT: nevermind, i found out, its harder to work out with no app shortcuts in the dock bar.
Also is there a way to scroll down the app drawer like the original Home Launcher?
i believe it scrolls across by default.
found solution.
go into adw settings, > drawer settings > disable horizontal drawer.

ah thanks for that, ive switched from HelixLauncher to this now
Don't no whether its just me again but, I feel that adw launcher drains my phone quicker than the standard home. Anyone else experiencing the same? Or I'm i just being paranoid about the battery life!? :0s lol

I've been using ADW for a while, and helix before that.. And I don't have any concerns about battery drain on adw.

what about the difference of battery time between helix launcher, adw and the built-in home? before update, helix improved the battery dramatically, what about it after firmware update?

App drawer

So I've looked and looked. The app drawer that comes with the uncommon sense rom and the same theme used for sky raider 3.5 is badass. You can uninstall strait from the drawer and do other cool stuff. How do I get that for say, INCRom?
Thanks a bunch.
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
Those ROMs have a specially remapped Rosie launcher. The app drawer button has been remapped to Maxim Manuylov's App Folders. You can still access the stock launcher by hitting menu then all apps from the home screen. Getting the same setup on a different ROM requires more wizardry than I am capable of.Maybe skyraider or deficitism can help you.
Thanks for the response bro. I'll look into it

[Q] Changing factory Icons

I want to change the sony ericsson dialer and messaging icons etc. To custom png images. I tried several methods and it seems to technical for me. Edit apk wasn't working for me unless Im doing something wrong. Can somebody help me. Thanks
I would suggest using a different launcher - i know ADW launcher (free in the market) lets you modify shortcuts however you want

GO Launcher EX is also an alternative and it's free in Market.
I have the launchers I just want to remove the icons from the app drawers.

With ADW, you can create categories to sort apps into.
How is that done? I want just remove the icon pngs and replace with googles pngs in my app drawer

Change icons on lock screen

Hi Guys,
First time poster. I'm using Go Launcher Ex on an unrooted HTC Sensation. I have all my icons themed, but the four icons that show up for my lock screen are still set as the stock icons. Is there a way that I can change these using Go Launcher? Don't know if I could handle rooting.
Sent from my HTC Sensation using XDA App
I don't think so, because the lockscreen is a sense feature so it uses stock icons, not go launcher themed icons.
Sent from my brain
you have to stick each go launcher icon inside each apk you want to change for instance if you have a phone icon replace it in the dialer apk it should be name dialer.png

you have to change them while using the stock launcher. Clear the default from Go Launcher, press home, change your lockscreen, then set Go Launcher as your default.

Sorry, should have clarified. I don't need to change the function, just the look.

Changing the icons in the app drawer?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone knows of an app which can change the icons in the app drawer? I've tried many apps but all they do is change the home screen icons. Any help on how to do this would be very much appreciated.
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda premium
This function may be possible by switching to a different launcher, but I do not know which launcher would be capable of doing this. Usually the images in the drawer are read directly from the apk, and the apps which change the icons on the home screen can get around this by making a widget with the specified icon, which points to the application.
If there are only a few applications you want changed, it is possible to change them the hard way, by extracting the apk, changing the icon in the "/res/drawable-?dpi" folder, and then installing the new application by hand. (It will no longer be signed, so you will have to go to allow this in Settings > Applications > Unknown sources)
I don't think any launchers are capable of changing app drawer icons. Looks like I may have to do it the hard way

You can use go launcher which has option to change icons.. All U need is an icon pack..

Launcher pro can change app drawer icons,as can adw launcher. Just get an icon pack...or better still, make one. It's easier with launcher pro.

I'm using adw launcher and it can't change the icons. I have a really cool icon pack, and it changes the icons... but not all of them.. so everything doesn't match. On adw you can't manually change the icons of an individual app. I'll give launcher pro a go

Try LiveHome. With this launcher, you can manually change the icon and also label name of any app in appdrawer.
Cheers man. It won't recognise my icon pack though, but still, it's the first launcher I've seen that can change the app drawer icons

When i press long a Icon in the Drawer this comes direct on my Desktop, no Options , the Options are only at the Desktop!
Why ??
Nova launcher just got an update, now to change an app drawer icon (to a picture from gallery and hence a uzip, or from an apk) long press on the app icon in the draw. Drag it to the edit symbol. Click the app icon in the edit popup. Choose icon as desired!
