GPSPhoto - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hi everyone.
Do you know how to change default folder for GPSPhoto?
By default it places photos to >Storage Card\My Documents\100MEDIA
How to change it to place photos to >Storage Card\DCIM\100MEDIA where the other photos are? Or otherwise?
And
When you starting or switching to GPSPhoto it starts to load coordinates a long time... What the benefits from HTC location service if it does not helps to load coordinates for this software faster?
How this can be fixed?
Best regards...

Hi,
look here: \Storage Card\My Documents\My POI

GPS photo does not work properly (depends on where in the world you are). Yes you can enable it with BSB/XT Hack or reg edit but it does not store the correct coordinates in the photo. You will find that one of the values saved (longitude I think) in the EXIF info in the JPEG will be a negative figure rather than positive which means your position longitudinal position will be mirrored to exactly the same distance on the wrong side of GMT (search XDA and you'll find a few threads discussing it). I didn't keep using it for that reason, but instead use Resco Photo Editor to open and tag any photos I need to - you just take the photo normally, then before you move too far open RPE, open the photo and Menu>Edit>Add GPS Position. Works perfectly if somewhat longwinded!

For me GPS Photos working very well. To enable it i use this REG created by me.
To change GPS Photos destination you must look into HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\Image to strings "GpsSaveFolder..." and "SaveFolder...".
I changed it like in this screen:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I can't confirm it's working or not, because i can't "catch" fix now, coz raining here very strongly.
Use Resco Registry Editor to do this and give reply if this working or not.

There was a My POI and My Pictures folders, I'v changed My POI to My Pictures, but nothing changed...
So probably it does not works... And you?
By the way...
But firstly, before first hard reset I could find all photos in same section "My Photos" in built-in album viewer... But now it shows everything on device in this directory...

Do this EXACTLY like i posted and this will work. Dont forget to restart phone.

Same thing... Does not help.

Shortcuts to fullscreen pictures?

Hi all!
I've just become an uncle for the first time and want to show EVERYONE the picture of my gorgeous, 7 weeks premature niece. Set it as you wallpaper I hear you scream in frustation at the monitor! Alas, I can't live without HTC Home anymore. So how do you – and indeed can you – set a shortcut to a fullscreen picture?
Thanks for your help!
Dotting Uncle XaN
set a shortcut to a fullscreen pic?
you can try making a normal shortkut to the pic you like associated with a picture viewer most of them launch the pics in fullscreen hope I made my answer correctly
which shell are you using?
in MOST shells you can create shortcuts to whatever you want.
I'm using the standard WM6 shell. I take it I should link to the pictures and videos app but what do I put as an operator(?) after that?
Thanks again!
you must make the link straight to your image not to the application if you link the application it'll launch the application only
Okay, here you go, follow these step:
1. Long Press your desired picture, choose "copy"
2. Open File Explorer, go to, windows/start menu/programs
3. Long Press in the blank area the choose "Paste Shortcut"
4. Rename the file that generated in programs folder with your favourite name
5. With HTC home, just go to program tab, then choose "Add (+)"
6. Choose the file that generated, that you have renamed
7. Choose "OK"
8. There you go, everytime you choose that icon in HTC home program tab, you will have your favourite picture shown
Here you go the screenshot taken from my ROM, to make it more clear for you,.

ps: you might need HTC Album for the better fullscreen view (like in my ROM), that you could download it in my add-on section HERE,.

This is extremely useful!!
+1 I need it too
it will be very very useful.
Don't know, but did you try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544979
Don't know if it"s compatible with LEO though
try batti . Its good
that prog doesnt work properly on my hd2. it just shows '26/' overlaid ontop of the battery sign. doesnt seem to have an uninstall feature, its now messed up my taskbar
right, it won't work
@vinokirk
same prob, cant uninstall it
edit:
for uninstall you have to do this things:
for now u have to delete following reg entries by hand ..
HKLM\\Software\\Microsoft\\Shell\\
delete -> TBOpt
delete -> ShowTitleBarClock
HKLM\\nls\\overrides
delete -> SSDte
delete -> S1159
delete -> S2359
delete -> STFmt
and then soft reset

I recommend TouchLockPro (http://www.zuinigerijder.com/). It is lightweight, the battclock is excellent, and you don't really need to use the locking mechanism - though that is also very good. (I used it on my HD, and it was the first thing I installed on the Leo.)
This is a interesting topic without any answer.
Someone have a clue ?
ooh i would like this too
You mean it should looks like this:
I found a perfect program on XDA that could do this and also it is adding a lot of methods for locking the HD2. Highly recommended!!!
View attachment TouchLockPro.2.9.CAB
View attachment Settings.zip
Yes, that's it. But that means one have to install another lockscreen app, right ?
I already saw this solution, but I don't want to install another lockscreen app.
But thanks for your reply ! =]
But you can disable all locking futures in it and just live clock/battery mods.
You can give a try to kBattery. And then you can make it look like this :
You can enter setup and change the colors and some settings by tap&holding your finger on the battery.
Cheers,
Nibbler.
as alternative way, you can use wm 6.5.3 based rom.
battery and clock displaying all the time in taskbar.
I don't like kBattery because it slows down the HD2. Just take a look at the clouds in Sense and you'll see how they stutter when kBattery is activated.
Have a look at BattClock v1.20 instead http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-battclock.html
I had to make a couple of changes in the registry to make it fit perfectly and now I'm very happy.
The made the following changes in HKCU\Software\ZunigeRijder\LockSettings
ClockForeground=16777215
ClockHeight=48
ClockWidth=66
ClockX=4294967190
FontSize=20
Brgds... /TubGirl
BattClock rules !
Indeed, this is really a good light app.
Thanks Tubgirl !

attaching gps informations to photos taken with the camera

on my old htcp3600 the camera software had an option to attach gps informations to photos. i noticed that touch2 does not have this option. is there any application that can do this?
Yep, that is footprints......is included in custom Rom from Billabongstaff found in Mega Rom forum. To install you need first need to have hard SPL, again see Rom forum.
yeah but u need to assign one of the key on phone to make photos by footprints
is there an application that could do this without changing the rom?

there is but its hidden u need to edit registry entries,anyway theres no way to use it on mega u need a program like LOCR
Now.. those settings P1 - P10 are camera modes. I activate them ALL, by going in to each one and making sure that the key "Enable" is set to "1"

The Burst option takes 30 pictures in quick succession.
The Sports Option Takes 5 pictures in REALLY quick succession.
The video share configures automatically for sending via email
The GPS Photo starts GPS tagging
Once you have taken the photo, save it to your PC, or upload it to your favourite web album, or use on ur device or pc on LOCR program.there is a web album as well
http://www.locr.com/
that gps photo I was interested in. thank you wery much for the registry changes and thank you for the software.
Anytime m8 ..
Sorry but I haven't understood…
Can you explain it like I’m really dumb? What’s actually true on this subject…
I have an MEGA with WM6.5… Now what should I do? Install “locr GPS Photo for Windows Mobile 1.0.1”? Edit registry entries? How?
Thanks
there should be a way to do it in with rom editors
you can edit the ppc registry with any registry editor. I use resco explorer but there are more. search the forums for the names, I do not remember their names

edit registry entries if u want just make tagged pictures, same locr does,but it has user interface on wm and windows pc, i mean theres no specified program on mega to operate with the tagged picture,transfer coordinates to some user interface like garmin or etc
for editing registry entries use resco explorer ...
hope u got it now ..
Try this cab bro.
You can use for Diamond and other htc gps+camera model too(I think)

[Q] Metadata of photos

Hello,
When we take a picture with a Android device, we can know which device took the picture by consulting the details of the picture.
Does someone know where is the database of these metadata?
Where are saved the brand and the model of the device?
I wonder this because I'd like change the brand and the model of the device in metadata.

}
In this picture I'd like replace "AMOI" by an other brand.
Thanks for your help.
PS : I'm sorry for my pitiful English. [emoji16]
You can edit the metadata of a pic using a pc or your android itself!
in a PC :
*right click the photo
*select properties
*in the properties tab, select details and you can see all metadata there, you can click whatever you want to change then press Save below!
on your android phone:
*download this app from market Photo editor
*open the app, from the app, open that pic using the gallery or file browser option, or simply sharing the image from any place to photo editor
*you will see the pic loads with editing options, clickinfo in the bottom left corner
*you will get metadata now, edit your desired options and save
Done!!
Yes of course but I would like the right metadata be placed automatically on every pictures.
So instead of AMOI I'd have directly the other brand...

So, you need to root, then use a file browser like ES File Manager, open /system/build.prop as a text file, there scroll down and when you can see AMOI , change it to whatever you like, then save it and reboot.
Now all your photos will come with the new name you put instead of that AMOI.
Thanks you for your advice.
But checking the buil.prop is the first thing I did. And that data isn't located in the build.prop
So it's embarrasing because I don't know at all where it is located :/
I checked many files...but not found yet...I hope I'll find!
After many monthes of researches... Up please!
Any idea? No way to change this?
PS : I'm running 4.4.2

Good work - nice and polished app.
Just one notice:
The application ignores the orientation tag saved in EXIF. For standard rotations (0, 90, 180, 270) it is ok, since the user has a possibility to rotate the image himself. However for horizontally / vertically flipped, transpose and transverse images it results in wrong orientation.
That's just one edge case...sorry, I haven't found more serious issue to point out.
How is this app different from the other hundred collage apps in the Play Store? I'm seriously not trying to be an ass, I really want to know whats new on this app.
Thanks!

I have to ask the same question.
I subscribe to PhotoGrid, and found it configurable enough for my needs.
