No haptic vanilla lock & 270 rotation? - Hero CDMA Themes and Apps

Is it possible to have both of those running on the same framework? The flashable zips for each always undo the other. Does they have to be edited individually?

I have it .
But you are right, they are both controlled in the same file, framework.jar, so both mods have to be applied to the same file at the same time.
What ROM are you running?

Im runnin the latest PureHero... it's based off Damage

While I'm running Fresh the framework files should be the same. I'll post up my file tomorrow (headed to bed) if you want to give it a try.

Here's my modified framework file for incorporating BOTH the no haptic feedback for either lockscreen (vanilla and/or rotary), as well as 270 rotation. "Should" work on any 2.1 based Sprint ROM.

To enable JIT Manually:
1.Download the attached Zip and extract the files into your androidsdk/tools folder

4.adb shell
5.busybox chmod 755 /system/bin/dalvikvm
6.chmod 644 /system/lib/libdvm.so
7.chmod 644 /system/lib/libnativehelper.so
8.chmod 666 /system/build.prop

If you are using a modified kernel, why do you mention the camera being linked to the gallery? Does this kernel have working cameras?

How did you modify rosie to work with jit? Last i knew all sense related widgets and rosie had a incompatible method in them, hence th crash when you made a swipeing motion

I'm pretty sure any 'modified' kernels will break the camera, however this us not the first ROM to make the same claim. I think the OP is saying that the way the kernel does certain things has been tweaked on this ROM, but not the kernel itself (hence the working camera).

yeh im kinda lost on your wording. so this will work with HTC sense?
if so then congrats man you have committed a first for sense users. and please pm if this is true. i would love to know what you did to enable this.

What is the reason for Evo getting 10 in linpack with JIT, whereas N1 gets over 40?
Omg thank you for this rom! Not only does sense work with JIT, but this is the first rom where I can run the 30 fps kernel and still charge my phone!

Trying this rom out right now, will report back with results and my opinion. ( not that it matters!)
Awesome Rom I have no idea how you pulled this off by I did notice to small bugs the lil slider thing from stock Rosie is still present and it doesn't appear to of flashed any type of music apk not also o sense but other thing that great job thing runs very smooth
I noticed there was no music app also. I opened up another zipped rom from astro,went into system/app and reinstalled the music app. Works fine. I enable JIT but im still getting around 6.7 mflops. Anyway to tell if JIT is actually enabled?
so cool!~thank u for job!!

[FX-MOD][SENSE] Reboot option in power menu 4-in-1 (UPD)

this is an updated* version of my framework mod that adds reboot (normal, hboot, recovery) option to the power-button menu on htc sense based desire roms
*: a new option ('hot restart') has been added that will allow you to respawn android's system server process, thereby starting with a "clean system" w/o actually rebooting the device (credits to xda member appelflap for the idea, you can have a look at his app 'hot reboot' here. i took a slightly different approach to killing the process but the basics remain the same)
enjoy
requirements:
htc sense based desire (froyo) rom (HD VERSION HERE)
deodexed framework libs
busybox with pkill support (or any other pkill implementation, accessible in $path)
how to install:
please make sure your device/setup meets the requirements above
check your framework build number (settings >> about phone >> software information >> build number)
download the archive that matches your build number
copy it to your sdcard and flash it in recovery mode (as always, it is advisable to do a nandroid backup prior flashing)
impact:
a framework lib (/system/framework/android.policy.jar) will be overwritten
the first boot after flashing this may take a (long) while (dexopt will be busy)

source code, porting to other htc devices:
due to the nature of the hack (patching a htc-modified, closed source framework lib) there is no "source code" for it
obviously, i also can't provide a smali patch applicable for any framework version / htc device
for reference, i've attached the smali patch for my own device/setup
it doesn't take a great deal to understand it, porting should be relatively straightforward. you should also take into account that string/icon resource ids may vary between different framework versions, and that some versions don't support com.android.internal.app.ShutdownThread.reboot()

cyanogenmod is an opensource project, there is no need for hacks like this (dalvik bytecode injected into a closed source lib) to implement missing features

Ok, thanks. Just to make sure - not whole deodexed is required, just android.policy.odex, right? Is it possible to edit this jar file and change the language of "Normal" etc... and here footprint is also required as in 3in1?

[ROM] Stock-rooted Gingerbread (2.50.405.2) and Seraphic custom 0.5

Seraphic stock-rooted Gingerbread
---------------------------------
Built using Ace_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.50.405.2 release ROM.
I've cooked this rom in order to get the closest to stock release rom I could while still maintaining root access.
This rom has the following applied to it:
* Rooted
* Zipaligned
Everything else remains as standard. This isn't deodex'd and doesn't have /data/app enabled (as I said, closest to stock was intended here)
I recommend a full wipe, dalvik cache wipe, etc before flashing.
Please flash using recovery.
Disclaimer: the usual really- don't come crying to me if you brick your device!
I've baked another rom with a few other minor additions (but still maintaining as-stock-as-possible) - please see 2nd post below for details.

Seraphic custom 0.5
--------------------
Here's the other rom I've baked with a bit more enabled, still keeping the rom as stock as possible while giving power-users a bit more to play with.
==Changelog==
Custom 0.5:
* New rom based on 2.50.405.2 release rom
* Added latest ad-block hosts file
Custom 0.3:
* Add Twitter and Facebook apps and widgets back in, including HTC elements as requested
==Features==
* Rooted (su and busybox)
* Busybox run-parts installed
* Nano text editor installed
* Bash shell installed
* /data/app enabled
* System boot sound disabled
* Custom boot animation enabled (put your own bootanimation.zip in /data/local)
* ad-free hosts file installed
* Zip aligned
* Fully deodex'd
Again, full wipe recommended and flash from recovery.
== First boot will take some time so please be patient ==

the old stock froyo one had a chinese handwriting capability so i thouhght gingerbread had it too.is there anyway to add it in this rom?or via apk?
tia really like your cooked rom!great job!
Noobish question: what disabling data/app actually does?
@kenzo901 - because I've never used it unfortunately I don't really know enough about it, there's probably an IME or something from the market you could install.
@uros0104 - it allows apps to be installed in a partition outside of the system partition when cooking the rom, basically it allows flexibility and allows the end-user to remove any apps installed in this way.
@kenzo901 - actually there's chinese text input settings in settings > language and keyboard > touch input > Chinese text input. Is that not what you're looking for?
Custom 0.2 uploaded now. Fast, clean and stable.
@seraphic: thanks, I got it, but I don't understand why it is called disabled than, but who am I to judge...

This is great (Extended Power Menu + working flashligh) however, it doesn't work on stock odexed. I've tried renaming the SystemUI.odex and pushing the files, or wiping cache and flashing the zip but it just loses the task bar. Checked my permissions too.
Is there anyway you can build this with the stock ROM? It would be appreciated.

I think I may have misled you, what I meant is that I'm having problems with vincom's ROM and not your MOD. The RUXUMA untouched ROM's cause a force close after flash on my phone for some reason. Rc is only based on systemui apk, no need of replacing framworkres.apk and framework.jar!
i am not a big fan to take the stuff that makes SOMEBODY'S ELSE rom good and make it available on other roms.. And I agree with a previous post that android is not as simple as APKs, it may work on similar roms but as settings and systemUI are not standalone apps, there is libs, framework and many things more. For instance the the framework-res.apk defines many features and options available on rom control. And framework-res only works on the base rom.
Simply, if you want this, juste use sac23's rom

That should be enough. If not, tell me and i will explain you why you should not publish my mods or thereassad mods out of Sac´s rom, ok bro?. If you want our mods in other roms, you only have to ask to the devs of those roms to implement them. All them knows us, so, you do not worry. Doing this kind of things can have very bad consequences for the phones of users as you on upcoming rom updates...
So, close and delete this thread, it should be better, do not think so?
