For those having issues when switching from Factory VZW rom with backup assistant.
Search Market for Handy Backup
It will backup your contacts to the sdcard in vcf format.
Then do your flashing.
I had an issue with losing contacts for a friends Incredible, this is how i remedied it.
For some reason if ur backing up via BA then it doesnt sync to google
(presumably to prevent dupes)
Of course you can export from BA website, but this is android, we live on the fact that we can flash without need for a computer, EVER!!

You are having some trouble, because some program is using the contacts database (this seams to be the most reasonable explanation). The sad thing is that there is a tool called STGViewer, but it does not allow extracting Pegasus databases...
Try to hard reset the PPC and restore straight after that, if this is the case, sorry, can't help

I backed up my phone this morning with Titanium Backup Pro (backup folder location is on the external SD) and flashed a new ROM. I then downloaded TiBu again, changed the backup folder location to the external and went to run the restore batch for apps with data. But when I get to the list of the available backups, most of the names are missing so I don't know which backups are which (haven't cleared out old backups lately). Any idea how I can fix this?

Did anyone see anything like this? For some (not all) of my contacts, I see redundant empty email fields. I use MyPhoneExplorer to sync my stuff. Not sure if it's MPE to blame. These fields are neither visible in edit mode, nor in Outlook.

Issue sorted. The issue is caused by linking phone contacts with Skype contacts.

I've been trying to back up my OPO to my computer before i do a full wipe on the device
I want to copy all folders in order to backup my apps (using titanium backup) and my pictures / music
I cant seem to be able to copy the files to the computer as it copies only partial

my galaxy s7 suddenly corrupted with this message: (I can't speak Itailenish) but I think only way to make hard reset and wipe everything. I can see the system files with usb cable (rooted) and at the momenyt I can't wipe everything because one of sms is really important for me and I have to access it.
is tehre any way to access the sms from internal files?
any help would be really appraciated

just a quick update. I can open the phone from TWRP but internal storage and the other storages only 0 mb's.
