I am happy to present the Hero X, which is a port of the Evo Nonsense Rom (Droid-X theme) for CM6, with a few modifications.
I have also included a download for the Wallpapers. As always I'm not responsible for anything as you flash at your own risk. If your phone becomes self aware and starts looking for energon then please don't blame me.
I want to give thanks to everybody from the Cyanogenmod crew for their awesome Rom. Big thanks to tjohnsonjr for the Evo Nonsense Rom. Thanks to Magnus Ragnarok for all his help and some of his style.
Downloads:
1) [Rom] Hero-X 1.0.5-
(Disabled Rom link due to known issues. Rom is said to have wifi and facebook sync broken and some complained about busy box errors, switched to theme instead for stabilty).
Be careful that you set your google apps not to update automatically or you might overwrite your current themed apps!
2) [Theme] Hero-X Theme V2 (Added themed Mms.apk and new facebook.apk)-Flash over CM6 stable.
3) [Theme] Hero-X 2.2.1 Nightly Theme-This is based on the newest nightly 2010-10-19
4) [XML] Hero X-xml (For theme colors I use)

As of now, the number being used is no longer valid. Download the version of the NFL-Unlocker that pertains to your computer below and unzip, and read the directions to change the number associated with the NFL app. You must get a valid Verizon number to use this whether it be from a display phone at a Verizon store:

The reason for the 4 versions is that I tried a few different things on each one.

Droid X bootanimation (Unzip and push through Adb)

Other Droid X LWP-lwp's do work on Cm6, but a select few, don't know if these do or not.
Droid 2 keyboard-should work for this since this keyboard is for froyo. i've only tested it on my Evo.
I would suggest wiping no matter what, but you should be able to get away without wiping if already on Cm6, otherwise wipe. and please do a Nandroid back up before hand, so if anything does go wrong you can restore. Once I can get back to working on hers, i will post screen shots.

So what're the advantages of this over CM6?
i will try to test some, im having some serious issues with CM6, i prefer the NFX rom, but it keeps crashing constently. so i need something new.
Im down to test the rom
like trying new stuff out..when it gets uploaded i will let you know how it is. Like a question above whats the difference between this and CM6?

Not really any advantages, but someone asked me to do this for their hero for the look mostly. nothing like what you do. I see your stuff, especially the Black and gold. it's basically a theme a ported and made a Rom, but I used Cm6, because i didn't want to mess with the sense and it was the only 2.2 Rom without sense that I've seen. I didn't want to give a 2.1 Rom, but My internet just cutout while I was at 67%, so I have to re upload again. Versions will go up one after another.

so is this a froyo rom or 2.1? and sense or non-sense?
I am going to do what i did on Magnus Ragnarok's finisher rom. I ported his 2.1 to 2.2 because everyone kept asking and I didn't know he was working on a new one, but like I said it's hard for me to work on my wife's hero when she's at work or I'm at work and she won't let me hold on to it, so to anyone who wants to test, just download when the links are up and tell me what I need to do.

cool..what kernel is this build gunna have? Also whats the clock speed on this build? And with your work so far have you seen how good the battery life is with this build?

This is only stock cm6, so whatever the battery life is then that's it. I have Snap turbo on my Evo, but i hadn't thought of adding a kernel. I'm sure whatever is compatible with Cm6 will work. I didn't change anything except the theme, I hope but hdpi to mdpi is difficult.
edit: links might be up tomorrow. i'm on my neighbors wifi and it literally says that Version 1 will be uploaded in 2 hours and 15 minutes.

You mean what is it supposed to look like? Ah-ha, I'm going to try and flash these on my wife's hero when she gets home. my internet is so slow, I probably have to wait till tommorrow to upload, so I'll try to get more hands on tonight but it's just a Droid X look alike built in to the rom. just fun nothing complicated, but if I get it going i'll update and tinker with the rom a little more.

I think I meant what does the Droid X "look" look like? Did a quick google search, it looks like Vanilla Android to me? @[email protected]

Update to Simple Droid
All info about single percent battery and stuff is that theme works for rubix and gummyjar, single percent only works on gummyjar and it only works sometime, trying to find out why.

Updated theme to have more things themed
Single Battery Percent is now more likely to happen but still only happens some times
Next-
Almost have launcher and basic apps completely themed will be out soon.
This is here because Droid X forums banned me for asking if someone would test this theme but it is all tested out and works.

How did you get single percent battery percentages? Are you talking about in the notification bar or a separate battery app?

No offence, but I find it very hard to believe they banned you for asking for testers.
For most people, their Droid X is their lifeline; so most people are going to want a bit more information on any app/rom/theme we install to help weigh their options.
With that said, It does look good.
They actually did, i know it sounds hard to believe and that why i want to know why but they said something about you must test first.
It is in status bar, I can only get it to work sometimes, i still am trying different things to get it to work out.
The things i was talking about was that this was my first theme so my other post turned into me asking how to get themed apps to install with theme.
What changes did you make for single digit battery percentage? I see that you added all of the images for it in drawable-hdpi and it looks like their are corresponding entries in MANIFEST.INF. Did you use a program to generate the entries or did you manually enter them. The reason I ask is because each one has letters/numbers for SHAI-Digest. I don't fully understand what those do or how they're generated. Did you make any other changes in framework-res?
I have not flashed this because It hasn't been tested on Tranquility and I really don't want to sbf if my phone bricks. If we can isolate the changes you made for single digit battery percentages and get it working consistently, this could be a great breakthrough for DX owners.

Love the look, but echo the concerns.
Hey everyone, I really like the clean look of the droid x stock rom so, I just wanted to share what I've been working on lately, I am using CM 6.1.2 as a base rom for now. Should be easy to transfer to CM7 when final comes out. So far i pretty much have the framework done complete with all of the notification icons, I just have to make a few adjustments on font colors, and resize a few images yet. The goal of this is to give the evo a stock droid x feel, let me know what you think so far! ETA=20-30 days
This is a theme that I have been working on for Liberty 1.5. I put it together for myself but was wondering if anyone would be interested in trying it out? I take no credit for it. I pulled most of the framework and themed apps from different themes and roms that I found on the forums. I have been running this theme for over a month with no issues at all. This is my first post so let me know if in the wrong forum. Couldnt post in the MagioRom theme post cause I haven't had 10 posts. I Found some really good themes that work with MagioRom 3.6.1. Keyboard isnt sized properly (Swiftkey fixed this though) and HEQS isnt sized properly. Everything else looks great. Does anyone know of some other themes that may work? the themes I have been "toying" around with are by Timberwolf671 and found them in the Sprint One android development section, Blue and Jazz theme. They look really good. Wish I had the skill to resize the HEQS. Can anyone point me in the right direction to try and learn? Thanks...

Another thing... I have been using MagioRom for a while now and never got a voicemail notification. As soon as I flashed this it started giving me voicemail notifications.

I went ahead and tested a couple of those on magios ROM, the keyboard themes didn't seem to do anything and the dialer themes cometely removed the dialer part of the phone app. I only tried one of the clock/dock themes and it worked but scrolling back and forth between blink feed and your home screens makes the dock a little buggy not a lot but enough to ruin it for me maybe I did something wrong and somebody else can get it to work I don't know. I flashed with twrp.
