As I promised, here is a version of Cellular South's 2.1 Rom.
What's Special About This Rom:
DarkTremors A2SD - A2SD is automatic if sdcard is already partitionded
Deodexed - You can apply themes!
Darkstar's Overclocked Undervolted kernel (Defaulted at 710 MHZ)
Zipaligned - Helps out on the RAM
Semi Stripped (Less apks than the stock Rom)

Removed Media from internal and stored on SD

Removed apks are stripped and stored on sd card (just in case you want one later)

Metamorph - Great way to install themes! If you are looking for themes... Nebenezer has a theme bank with many artists. Check it out!
Power Strip (Paid) - One of the few paid apps that's worth it. It takes multitasking to a new level!!

I'm a Cellular South user and I would LOVE a rooted 2.1 ROM. A couple of questions. If you have previously rooted your CS hero and loaded a custom rom, can a rooted version of this be installed? If you have already installed this update, can it be rooted again?

Apparently the new update to facebook breaks Facebook for HTC Sense... so to fix:
Use a file manager (I used Astro) and go into your system/app folder.
Locate Facebook.apk
Select App Manager

Technically Kyle is still planning on cooking up a newer version of bittersweet with this. MrDanger is gonna release a stock albeit rooted 2.1 cellular south rom.

Got a real quick question. I have found this file: nv_2.51_20100624_PRL10003_full.img
in the rom.zip i extracted from the ruu. Is this something that will need to be made into a signed update to flash to a rom not made from the ruu. Basically I am asking that since I have the radio upgrade now is this also needed? Thanks in advance.

PRL can be updated with #228.
I believe mine is 10004. I don't know why 2.1 ships with 10003

I am on Damage v2.06 and football works just fine. Just push the app to /system/app/ and reboot. I think I just opened Flipz Rom and extracted it from there. Working fine here.

Final testing pre-release of the NON-Themed RegawMOD v2.1
If all is good, I'll be uploading it soon.
There are only a few differences between v2.0.2p and the new v2.1r (non-themed 2.1).
The few difference between them are
Added working 3DGallery
Changed some graphical things, but leaving a GREAT base for someone else to make themes based on the ROM.
Also, I have optimized EVERY single .png in /system/app and /system/framework, and saved about 7mb from the size.
The main update in v2.1t (Themed version) is, well the theme that nebenezer and I have been working on extremely hard on for the past 3 days (or more, I can't remember anymore). It is so system deep, that trying to pull the theme from it would essentially be pulling the entire ROM.

What is it?
Sushi is my attempt to bring a fast, lightweight, vanilla-style ROM to you guys.
The core of Sushi ROM is currently Fresh ROM 2.0d.
What is special about it?

AOSP apps
Ads are blocked
Looks vanilla
JIT enabled
Lightweight
Old OpenGL so Nexus Launcher or any 3D app will have better performance
LWP's removed for speed (and since most don't stick or work anyway)
TrevE's dc.conf file for EASY adjustment of settings (a2sd, swap, JIT, memkiller, etc.) *Now with GUI app*

Instructions:
Flash it just like any ROM, and wipe Dalvik and Data before flashing. To enable JIT, open the "DConfig" app, and then select Enable JIT. Do not worry about the Banned Apps... they have already been removed. In fact, do not even press the Banned Apps button... I'm not kidding. Don't do it. Also, if you WANT JIT, do NOT sign into HtcFacebook... ie. the one that you are asked to sign into when you first flash the app. Doing so will cause bootloops.

+Directions: unzip file so you just have PCSCII.apk, then "adb push" it to /system/app. Reboot phone.

The application Voice Search has stopped unexpectedly
Does this have treve's same mod that lets us move dalvik-cache and swap to secure digital with the dc configuration file? i hope so--- this is a nice looking rom (becides the USB being black). I had to ditch aloysis because the apps2sd had too much manual work, i hope you went with the real version that just works!

thats something unrelaed, but here should be a fix. this was broken in the latest dc

flash the vanilla clock...i would of assumed he included itif i wasnt on my phone i would hook you up....im sure someone has it
I never use the alarm so I didn't know about that problem. I'll see if I can get out an update tomorrow that has fixes to the problems above.

For the timebeing, if you need the alarm clock, try pushing the attached file to /system/app.
Note that this is NOT a flashable zip... you must extract the zip and push the apk.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: (For All-In-One Version)
-Copy the PC36IMG.zip to the root of your SD Card
-Power off your phone
-While holding the VOLUME DOWN button, power on your phone into bootloader
-The phone will scan for a PC36IMG.zip
-Once prompted, install the update and reboot

-Navigate to "Flash zip from SD Card" within recovery and install

I like the idea of skinning Swype to look like HTC.
Any chance you could do it to the version with the microphone?

This is just the latest Swype version, but it has a working mic button. I'll try skinning it myself, but who knows how it'll go.

Thanks..It wasn't down..that was my mistake. But when i clicked it, it said that it wouldnt be finish for another 6 hours....

I would love to try this but ain't a clue how to do it. Still find it slightly confusing. Does any1 no of a guide on YouTube maybe? Also wanted to try a kernal as well but not sure about that and I don't wanna brick me phone. As soon as Im 100% ill def give this ROM a try.

I just got my Desire yesterday and I just removed apps and included some tweaks + my framwork. This was a overnight work, just to get things started and get rid of some "crap".
Of course there will be screenshots, soon

I removed it because it was just a trial version..
I will provide a seperate package in future, I prefer google atm.

If you are happy you don't need to flash it everytime.
But at the next days and weeks I want to optimize the ROM alot so I think it would be worth to try it

could you make a patch to include advanced power menu?
if I choose power off, and restart by holding volume down, it just wakes up. Previously with RaiderX's ROM it went into bootloader

Yes you can either download a custom rom which is actually a near stock rom (such as modaco r1) or you can flash the ruu update which will return your phone to a factory new state (including restoring factory recovery and hboot). By the first method you will still be able to have root, the second option will obviously require you to re root.
