Can I use one of these to enter an "unlock" code for the phone? I know it wouldn't unlock the phone itself (a code is needed), but I wonder if it will get to the screen to do it on?
It is my understanding that a "sim" card from another carrier must be inserted into the SkyRocket to access the "unlock phone" screen. But if one of these codes can be used it will save me the trouble of having to get a T-Mobile sim. All of this is "if" I can get an unlock code...ofcourse. Has anyone unlocked their phone via one of these codes? I understand there is a limitted number of attempts and I don'y want to try one of these codes to get to the "unlock" screen if it doesn't work. Thanks.

I guess not. I tried and it says "unable to process request". So I think the only way to do it is to put a different networks sim card into the phone (ie T-Mobile).
How is it that I missed this extremely useful post? Many thanks to the OP, I just started looking for a good list of codes and found this. Bump worthy.
just found new code

found new code *#9900* sys dump
Hi!
I have CM9 installed in my Skyrocket, and these codes don't seem to work (except for #*#*INFO*#*#). I've been told they only work with stock ROM. Do you know if there is a way to make them work in CM9?
Nope
Sent from my SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
Most of these codes don't work. First of all any dialer code longer than 12 digits doesn't work, at least not in CM10. For example using *#*#4636#*#*, the last * in this entry triggers the entry and you're in that menu. Where did these come from, what source?
*#60# IMEI should be *#06#
There's also *#0*# which will open a full hardware diagnostic screen.
Can anyone confirm that *#*#4636#*#* works on the STOCK build of UCFL6? I think AT&T might've disabled it.

the reason that some codes are coming up invalid is because you're not using a stock dialer. most codes wont work unless you're on touchwiz

Is anyone else having trouble getting these to work on kangakat or kit Kat in general? I had them working fine in kangabean and used it to diagnose a miscalibrated proximity sensor (that I then was able to reset)
Thank you for the list.
I'm on an att business account and have the ability to dial *data# to get a data usage report via sms. Thanks for the list!
How bout giving him a thanks on the forums lol...
mf3 rooted SHOstock 2.3
USSD codes are either carrier-specific or phone-specific.
However, my understanding is that the catch is that phone-specific means the stock ROM, not just the physical phone. So if you're running another ROM, phone-specific USSD codes may not work.
I've got CM 10.1.3, and I have not found a single phone-specific USSD code that works.
Cool
Thanks For Sharing Sir

Sir,
I Need Your Help *#8736364# OTA Update Menu On AT&T S4
I Am In INDIA .. I Can't Update My Phone Via OTA Because I Unlocked My AT&T S4..
If I Change Any Setting On OTA Update Menu After I Will Get Update ?
Please Please Please
Actually for some reason I can't get the majority of the codes to work on my 2 Galaxy S4s, which are running on 4.2.2 and 4.4.2 respectively. I was particularly interested in the factory reset codes because of some ongoing demo work in current Android vulnerabilities, but similarly there is no response from the dialler after entering the code.
Factory reset codes do not work, as well, on my S4 mini 9195 with 4.2.2.
Anybody knows working codes, or we should use Settings - Accounts - Backup and reset, or Recovery Mode reset option?
Nice.
It should be noted that a lot of them won't work on certain modems. When I went to mk2, I was locked out of service mode. So i have been using MDL modem to have access to more codes.
For instance running mk2 modem, when I would try *#9090# menu back, menu back, menu back, key input 1. My phone would reboot every time. Now on MDL modem. I have access again. The were other codes that did the same don't remember them.
Seems att/Samsung locked you out after each modem update.

Hi
Sorry to tell you that most of these codes don't work on my GT-I9505.
The phone has a rooted stock ROM.

Use an app like Shortcut master lite to access those codes.

didn't work for me, but thanks anyway..
I called Samsung, who couldn't figure this out, recommended that I will take it to best buy as they have a tech there.

They still work. I got 4.4.2.
Keep in mind that you got a completely different model then the I9505. These codes are for the I9505 and might not work on your device.
Are you rooted? If not then that's the reason shortcut lite won't work.
You will probably find more answers here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303905

if you have Verizon, you need to do this before you can use these: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303905
Root required for this step. Some codes will work if you have Verizon and no root. Test at your own risk!
Didn't see a list of useful codes for Android, I found a list for iPhone though, please share any commands you may have that might be useful. I will update this list with anything posted in the comments.
(This was a copy and pasta from another site, but still useful information.)
WARNING: Use at your own risk, I have not tested all of these codes. I do not know if they will work on your device.
/u/AFinn: There is also an app called "Secret Codes" which will find other codes that are used by applications and not the OS itself. Some apps let you access secret settings with these codes.
These are not "Android" secret codes. These are "Samsung" secret codes. Except one of two none of them will work on any device other than a Samsung phone.
