Can anyone make a Droid boot animation for the cdma hero

Sound does not work yet with AOSP boot animations, maybe when the droid 2 comes out we can see how they do it on their rom. Below is the boot animation thread from a while back.

How would one go about porting at 2.1 bootscreen to 2.2? The 2.1 Droid bootscreen is sized for our phone.

Well there are a couple of steps was thinking about making a thread on how to port and make bootanimations.
Its not hard but its not something you dew in a few minutes either.

Yeah I saw that you said you were thinking about that in another post. That would be interesting to know.
Finalthunder is the boot sounds (cool name right), and the other is the anim.
I didnt have time to make a flashable zip before i left my house, just thought id get it up right now for those that dont wanna download the HUGE system dump and can install it from adb.
If someone wants to make a flashable zip and post it, ill add it to the OP.

This is a flashable zip of the bootanimation w/sound. This is for people that are running a rom that has the bootanimation located in system/customize/resource. Just wipe dalvik and cache and flash like a rom.

This is a flashable zip of the bootanimation with out sound for people that are running a rom that has the bootanimation located in system/media. The reason I didn't include sound is because I don't know of a way to include sound for a rom that utilizes system/media for the bootanimation. If someone knows of a way, let me know and I would be happy to add it. Just wipe dalvik and cache and flash like a rom.

Actually yeah, i pulled all the wallpapers from the dump too, but figured since there was only a few new ones that onebody would want em.

Hi fellas! i just got my infuse last night, rooted, 3e mod, but the boot screen isnt very nice. Is there any way i can get rid of this boot screen, instead of this ATT can i not get some thing like SGS??

2. Don't turn off your phone
3. Close your eyes when booting

I'm using gtg's kernel, and have a custom boot animation installed..Works great.
Boot Animation Changer from the market works quite well...

stock kernel- only sgs animation and infuse animation should work, proprietary .qmg format
one of the 2 custom kernels- any bootanimation.zip should work

I like the Nexus bootscreen, but I prefer the OldSchool Christmas Nexus One bootscreen. I believe it was the ERD56C boot animation...

I got the ERD56C Bootanimation working on my infuse. I'll post a video + instructions in a bit.

I did my own custom boot animation. I took about a 20 second clip that was shot of me on my dirt bike, and did some editing with Adobe Premier Pro, and exported that to png..
Works pretty good. I'll post a youtube of it later..

Wow its been so long since I was on stock I don't even remember a boot sound... if like other android devices I've had (that had a boot sound) the Droid X for example it was in the bootanimation.zip if I'm not mistaken, u can find that zip at /system/media/bootanimation.zip

thx, will look into it, though its not stock, installed one of the nightly roms, i tried the location that works for the infuse but it didnt work, but will check out the bootanimaion.zip and report back, thanks
Does anyone know where to download some good boot animations for our phones? To my knowledge boot animations must be custom tailored to individual phone, like you can't just use one meant for a S3, but dont really know for sure. Would love a nexus 4 boot animation!
Also by any chance is there a 4,2 photosphereapk working for our phones? I installed one a couple of months ago but it was very glitch :\

Look for boot animations that are 480x800(which is the resolution for our device). As of now, I got permission to port RemICS-JB.. There is photosphere in there but you have to change build.prop to Galaxy Nexus(informed about this). Will post the apk in an edit..

Im not really looking for an app, i have tried those but they either have a low selection or bad quality. I find being able to put the animation in my phones folders myself a bit more safe as well,

Tried to search for that ROM to take a look but couldn't find it, is it here in xda somewhere? Also want to thank you for all your work, really appreciate anyone and everyone who's working hard to keep our phone rocking!
