How do you know which app comes with a widget for sense ui or not?
For example I can't find a widget for gmail, but this sound board app I found has widget capability as does advanced task killer which i just noticed.
Is there someplace that mentions it?

I have a horrid amount of apps and I need a way to organize my apps
Was curious if there were any apps that are capable of organizing the app drawer with folders to sort the apps.
If there's no app for it is there a way to manually create folders like in WinMo's start menu.

Afaik there is no way to easily organize the drawer, i am currently using one of my homescreens as drawer with a app called "apps organizer" wich lets you create labels for apps and use those labels as shortcut with a popup menu containing all aps with that label

Dunno how good it is compared to other homescreen replacements though...
A better known home replacement capable of this is dxtop, this is not a free app though.

with launcher pro u can hide apps in your draw that u dont want to see
Thanks for all the suggestions I'm gonna go try some of them ... I use launcher pro and wasn't aware that out allows you too hide apps

dxTop has this capability as well. Used to be my favorite home replacement.
you could use ADW.Launcher or LauncherPro as home replacement
and then add an organizing app like Smart Shortcuts or Apps Organizer to the dockbar
this is genius in fact. i'm thinking about doing that myself!
no more need to spread essential app icons all over different home screens
That's what I'm trying to do minimize my home screens I'm already using Launcher Pro and I was looking at an app that is in beta just can't find the thread for it and can't quite remember the name it was like slip-something

organize apps in CORE ROM
Hi,
Can anybody help me, I would like to organize my apps, like on this pic:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858418
I have that ROM, but cant find any place to make it like on the home screen !?
Maby its an app !??
(Small pic, of apps inside the folder/shurtcut) really like that feature.
seems to be a widget integrated in that rom.
take a look at your widget list. and if you still don't find it post the question in the rom thread ... good luck
Search the market for TagHome. Its a home screen replacement that allows you to organize your app drawer with different tags, really useful if you have lots of apps.

Is there an android launcher app which can replace the app drawer?
It really bugs me that the apps are in two places - on my desktop and in my app drawer, this makes the app drawer very messy and unorganized.
I've never understood the concept of showing one app in two places.
Maybe there is an app to disable app drawer - all apps show up on desktop, together with widgets etc. or another way would be to hide apps from the drawer in case they are already on desktop
I dont know if this what youre looking for but try to search "awd ex" in the market

I want to remap the music button in the desk clock app to the poweramp music app. How is remapping done?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
The brightest android minds and not one reply? Someone must know how to do this.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
go into settings->applications->manage applications, then select the default music app and click "clear defaults". The next time you push the button in the desk clock app, you will be given a choice of which app you want it to open by default.
That didn't work. What I'm using is the vanilla desk clock, not the sense one. Right now the music button has no action at all. I dont think the vanilla desk clock looks for sense apps. I know the one I have was modded to use the htc gallery when the slideshow button is pressed. But I dont know how.

I like swype pad, and circle launcher for organizing my apps. Gives a clean look.
smooth calendar: customizable and has nice settings
beautiful widgets for weather and stuff, highly customizable
desktop visualizer: make anything an icon, very useful
missed it: see missed calls text, and emails
launch-x pro: allows you to have like 12+ apps in a 4x1 area, awesome for my quick contact buttons
I use some others but those are loaded onto every phone I get
I been using miui weather app but it fc and doesn't have geolocation so any suggestions other than beautiful Widgets and 3d weather home?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
i used to use miui as well but it rapes your battery and doesnt have gps. so i switched to weather bug elite. it has gps and the battery usage is truly minimal. its not as much eye candy as miui but it works alot better.
